We never get to sleep we're up all day

We're overworked and under paid

We're always stuck in repeat day by day

Watching time drift away as we burn away

You picked up the nearest object, an alarm clock that glowered at you annoyingly, flashing 3 AM. You gently placed it back on the ground, inhaling deeply the earthy smoke of the joint you were sharing with your roommate. The smoke wafted from your mouth in a lazy current, a grey cloud blurring your vision of your purple haired companion as he pressed the crudely rolled stick to his mouth, a smile ghosting over his liip as he passed it over to you again. You ran a hand through your lenght, color hair, laughing in a lethargic manner, " So they only paid you two fifty for a job that's normally three hundred," you paused between your next puff, frowning slightly, " I get the same shit at my job, Skull."

Th boy nodded, peirced lip jutting out poutingly as he stared at the litted joint, " Overworked and underpaid," he recited lamely, wrapping an arm around your torso so you have no choice but to embrace him back, " but at least we have each other, right."

You nodded, grinning as you pecked the boy's lip quickly, " You and I, forever."
