Waking Up with a Ring on My Finger and a Bad Boy at My Side [07]

Sequel to 'I Woke Up Next to a Half-Naked Bad Boy' story. I've wrote this for the sake of writing something; too many things have been happening lately and I'm sorry if this chapter have a lot of grammar issues etc2. It's just...somewhat a filler chapter I guess, and I hope you'll enjoy it X3

"Oh yes, because you know...this is really buying grocery," Brandon said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. He was amused, I knew he was. He's got that little glint in his eyes that made him look as if he wanted to laugh, but didn't just to be stoic.

Pulling the carefree Brandon out of him was really hard, trust me on this one.

"I just think we need new bed sheets, is that so difficult to understand?" I said, fluffing the pillow. "Or a pillow, whatever."

He finally laughed and snaked an arm around my waist. Then, he pulled me outside of the store. "Lemme go!" I hissed, playfully hitting his arm. He just continued walking casually. "What? Did you say something? I'm sorry, I keep hearing these little voices in my head...saying that she wants a new pillow. I think I'm going crazy."

I stuck out my tongue at him. But unexpectedly, he grabbed it. "Ow," I muttered. "Weab my tongue awone," I said, stepping on his feet. God, we're acting like a bunch of kids...and people were staring. He snickered, let go and wiped his fingers on my blouse.

As I slapped his hands away, my phone rang again. It kept ringing all day and it had nothing to do with my clients! "Should I call a Father to exorcise it? Your phone sounds as if it's possessed by some angry spirit..."

"Hello?" I answered, resting my head on Brandon's shoulder. He was free all day long but that was because I accidentally spilled coffee all over his laptop. I swear it was an accident! Don't give me that look!

"Boo."

The voice didn't came from the phone and from behind us. Impulsively, I turned around. Brandon turned his head around and cocked his eyebrow towards me. "Evelyn?" I said. "Brandon, you don't mind me stealing Samantha for a second do you?"

"Er--"

"How did you know I was here?"

"I've got sources, Samantha."

She...was she implying that she was stalking me? "And since you're in the mall, I thought, 'Hey, this would be the perfect timing to go shopping!'" she exclaimed happily, her hand reached out and snatched my arm away from Brandon's grasp.

As she skipped (no seriously, she literally skipped) towards the escalator, I staggered with her and looked back towards Brandon. I shot him an apologetic look as he shrugged, still looking a bit dazed and perplexed.

"Could we reschedule?"

"Your wedding is due in a month now and you want to reschedule?!"

She's...got a pretty good point there. But still...

"You're maid of honor is Amber Riddle, right?" she asked, taking out her BlackBerry. She began to type all sorts of things before I could even give her my answer. "Amber, yup," I replied immediately. I haven't asked her yet though, but I was sure she would say yes.

99.8% sure, that is.

I played with the pendant that Brandon gave me a few months ago. It was a ruby and emerald pendant taking shape of a small apple. He got me the necklace after a row we had. I forgot what it was about, but I remembered at one point that somehow, ducks got into the conversation. Somehow.

"Oh okay," she said. I didn't feel as comfortable about this whole Evelyn-Spencer-arranging-my-wedding thing but I vowed to myself to give her a chance. The Plaza was pretty amazing and--

"Yes!!" she exclaimed, punching her fist upwards. I didn't even have to ask her about it since she blurted it out to me. "Great news! I've got the Berlin Philharmonic for your wedding

I was so shocked that I lost my balance when I jumped in surprise. I was wearing 3-inch high heels, mind you. I was not used to it. All I knew was that little kid behind me was less than satisfied when I almost fell onto her.

"A Philharmonic?! For what?!" I said, running my fingers through my hand. "To entertain the guests at your reception...that and to play a song for you as you walk down the aisle," she said, dragging me to a store on the fifth floor.

"What? Evelyn...what?"

For the first time in my life my mind literally went blank. I didn't know what to say, what to do or how to react. "Don't worry about busting your budget, babe," she said, winking to me re-assuringly. How the hell was I supposed to be 'assured' about all of this? The Berlin Philharmonic? What the frog?!

"Rachel's paying for that, silly."

Holy crap, what the hell do I care? I couldn't even put the image of the BPO playing as I walk down the aisle into my head. I...I didn't know what to think anymore! "You're wearing your mother's wedding dress right? I wanna have a look at it later, so I would be coming to your house with you. But first, we've got to pick the bridesmaid dresses first."

"I've called all of them to know about their sizes. It was a fairly simple process since one of them is Andrea and all. What color do you want them to wear? Better be fugly as hell, you don't want them to outstage the bride," she said smoothly.

"And since we're here, I need you to sign some of these," she said, taking out a pile of paper that could be binded...or stapled to be a book. In this case, hers was clipped together. "These are just papers for the security, privacy policy etc. etc.. You know, the things to make your wedding more...safe. Brandon is a very influential and successful man, you don't want any distractions."

Why won't she stop talking?

I took the papers with her and she handed me a pen. The words privacy policy and everything were all there. "Fine, fine I'll read through it later," I said finally. "I can't read contracts in...in the state of mind I'm currently in right now."

The philharmonic? Come on! That was just a bit too...too...grand! It was more than grand! It's ridiculous!

"Now, Samantha!" Evelyn scolded me, glaring. "Rachel wanted you to sign it as soon as possible too and--"

"Oh OKAY!" I screamed, attracting attention towards me. I signed the papers furiously. She snatched the papers away as soon as I finished on the last one and stuffed it back in her bag. "There, there. Now let's pick those dresses!"
