"Time to start over and have a normal life." Riley said as we went outside the house we were currently living taking shelter in. I looked down at the ground and nodded. Yeah right. Us? Normal? We are far from it.
"Well... first off, I think we need to get a job. Unless you want to steal everything. But I'm guessing thats not very normal." I said with a smirk.
"Yeah, jobs. No more stealing. That's not normal."
I breathed a laugh. "Alright. Hmmm..." I thought for a minute before walking off down the street. I stopped once we got to a more crouded area and looked around. I spotted a trash can and walked over to it.
"What are you doing in the garbage?" Riley asked, shivering in discust.
I glared up at her. "I'm hungry! Kidding. I'm looking for a newspaper." I didnt find one so i kept walking. I see some old dude sitting on a bench and notice he hasa newspaper. I smile and sit down next to him. He looked at me from the corner of his eye and scooted over. I scooted closer and stare at him. He finally puts the news paper down and looks at me confused. "Excuse me. When your done with that would you mind if I take a look at it?" He snorted and lifted it back up.
"Get your own." Wow. What a jerk! I sigh and get up. I walk around the corner and watch him. He puts it down to get something out of his bag. This is my chance. I walk by, grab the paper, and walk back around the corner giggling to where Riley is waiting.
She starts laughing. "I'm not with her."She then turnsaround to face me. "Hey what about no stealing?" I snort a laugh.
"I'm sorry but ifI didnt it would take so much longer! And besides, he was done with it. " I said with a smile.
"Wow, whatever. Stealing from an old pervert is so like you. I saw the way you looked at him. You wanted his wrinkleyness."
I stopped and looked at her with a look of pure discust. "EWW!! Nasty!! Sure I like them a little older butdamn! Not that fucking old!"I start walkingoff and open the paper, searching for job adds.
"Hahahahaha mhm." Riley laughs, fallowing after me. I see hertrip a little. "Woah, I'm alright." I look over at her with a raised eyebrow. I shake my head and breath a laugh. Ifind the jobs and stop suddenly.
"Ooh! This one dosnt seem to bad."
"I'm not being a stipper."
"Man! But we're naturals! I even have cool names for us figured out already!" I laugh. We end up making our way back to the old abandoned hous and plop down on the dusty couch, making a puff of dustfloat up around me.
"I thought you didnt like old wrinkley guys huh? Cause they're the olny ones who go to clubs anymore."
"True. Scratch that one off the list... hmm... What about this one? Secrataries... Does that mean I have to act like a nice bimbo all day? Ick."
"But that's your specailty." I glare up at her and punch her in the shoulder.
"Shut the hell up. At least I have a specailty!"
"Woah there bimbo betty!" I continue looking at the paper...
"Well seems like thats the only one on here worth doing." I say and put the paper down, looking up at her.
"Where is the job located?"
"Its at... Wayne Enterprise." I snort a laugh. "Well? You wanna take it?"
"Its better than nothing." I smile and jump off the couch. I started to run up the stairs when, SNAP! I screamed as my foot suddenly went threw the stair and I was flung to the floor.
"What the fuck?" Rileyyelled as she came around the corner. I started laughing like an idiot.
"I'm fine!" I started trying to pull my foot out unsusesfully. I finally managed to but ended up face planting in to the stairs with an 'Oof'.
"Your fucking retarded! God I swear you were dropped at birth."
I glare down at her before crawling up the stairs. "I probably was..." I walked to one of the rooms with a mirror and rubbed the dust off it to pretty myself up.
"Dont bother, you look fine." Riley said, leaning against the door frame.
"Just makin sure. It kills me not having anything but whats on us at the moment." I sighed and walked down stairs, pouting. I made sure not to fall threw again this time.
"So when do we start?"
"Hmm... Why dont we head over there now? If I remember right, its only... About a mile from here. Well thats convenient. Come on!" I grabbed her arm and pulle her out the door.
We arrived at Wayne Enterprise and headed up to the librarian looking woman at the front desk. I looked over at Riley, not wanting to talk to the lady. She rolled her eyes. We always seem to know what we're thinking.
"Hi, we're here for the job in the paper, Mr. Waynes Secrataries."
"Oh yes! Come right this way!" She looked a little to happy to me...
The interview went by really quickly and frankly, we didnt do much.
"Well cool. Does that mean we're hired?" I asked the lady as she lead us to the door.
"You ladies start tomorrow."
