As tears flowed down her cheeks, he looked at her and said, "I'm sorry."

The corners of her lips curled up into a small smile as a small chuckle escaped. "Go away," she said quietly as another chuckle passed by her lips.

Delacroix stood still, watching in silence as his friend and mighty emperess laugh. His eyes tried to meet her's, but her face was barely visible due to the dark shadow cast over her face. "Nehemah, I'm sorry."

She threw her back as she laughed loudly, an echo resonating in the vast throneroom. Her laugh was still ever so melodic to him, but it was tinged with hysteria.

He took a step forward. "I'm so sorry, Nehemah."

Her laughter died down to sobs. "Go away," she said again. "Go away." She chanted this over and over again, gorwing more and more hysteric with each pasing second, as her hands covered her face.

Delacroix continued forth, blood red eyes locked on the pitiful emperess. "I'm so sorry for breaking my promise."

Nehemah tightly grasped the arms of her throne. "Go away!" she screamed at him.

He cradle her face in his hands and touched their foreheads to each other. "I'm so sorry for leaving you alone in this world."

Her hands slowly moved forward to touch him, feel him, but stopped in front of her. "Go away," she said quietly, "because you are no longer of this world."
