Legend of the Half Vampire (A Secret Saturdays/ Zak love story) Part 25

The man turned from the tree. He smiled at Rose. Rose involuntary walked toward him. When they meet the man picked Rose up in a hug. Both began crying immediately.
Dad: "I knew you'd get here."
Rose: "I missed you Dad."
Rose cried into his shoulder and he patted her back.
Dad: "I missed you, too."
Then a woman's voice came from behind them.
Woman: "Think old grandma can get a hug too sweetie."
Rose's dad sat her down and Rose ran to her grandmother. They hugged for a long time also crying.
The Saturdays walked over as the hugging finished.
They all boarded the airship. Rose's grandmother and dad explained that their had been a symbol in her grandpa's vision but he often got scrambled signals of dofferent times. So the cave symbol must have been in the future.
Drew: "Well, Matthew-"
Mat: "AH! we're family call me Mat."
Drew: "Um, Mat I'm afriad we don't have any extra bedrooms."
Mat: "Who needs a bed? Oh, wait."
Mat laughed.
Mat: "Oh, I don't sleep neither does mymom. Vampire thing."
When they got to the Saturdays home the conversions really began. It was pretty obvious Rose acted like her dad and her dad acted like his mom! Mat and Doyle made friends pretty fast.
Grandma: "Is there a town near here?"
Drew: "About 70 miles east, yes there is."
Grandma: "I think I'll just take a little run out there and look around for a bit."
Doc: "Don't you think someone should go with you? I mean I wouldn't mind showing you ar-"
Grandma: "Young man! I am 90,000 years old; I can take care of myself! And certianitly don't need any help from anyone! I'll show myself around."
She walked off.
Rose: "Sorry, I forgot to warn you. She one of those 'I'll do it myself' people."
Mat: *laugh* "No shit."
Everyone set off to bed exept Mat.
Mat: "I'm going to go hunting and make sure my mom hasn't gotten into a street fight or something."
~Rose~
She sat up in her bed holding the envelope her aunt and half sister left with her. What was she going to do? One thing was for sure it was going to be opened tomarrow. She was tried of worring about it. A voice whispered to her in the dark.
Grandma: "Rose, sweetie."
Rose: "Hi Grandma."
Grandma: "Go ahead I know you wanna ask me something."
Rose sighed. she hated having her mind read.
Rose: "Grandma, why did you go missing?"
Grandma: "Because I knew they'd never give you a chance while was around. I know why the necklace chose you Rose. Not because of some sillystory a derangefortune teller told. You were chosen to do what I tired to do and failed."
Rose wondered to herself what exactly she was talking about.
Grandma: "The clans sweetie. I wanted to join them back together, but I didn't have the experience you do. Seeing the world the way you do. That wonderful mind you have will make my dream a reality."
Rose: "Thanks Grandma, but I'm not sire if I could handle the responsibility."
Grandma: "I know you could but if you don't think you are ready the clan will wait for you. They are not as pig headed as they used to be I can tell!"
Rose: "Thanks Grandma, I feel better now. I'm gonna try to get some sleep ok?"
Grandma: "Alright. I love you Rose."
Rose: "Love you too Grandma."
She kissed Rose's forehead and vanished. Rose laid her head on the pillow and quickly fell asleep.
~Next Day~
Everyone was outside. They had just finished combat practice and Rose spoke up.
Rose: "I know what I'm going to do about tthe clan."
Everyone froze. Rose took the envelope from her pocket and ripped off the top of it. A black glitter substance floated out of it and blew off into the wind.
Mat: "Its tracker dust. They'll be here any second."
They stood qutiely. Almost20 minutes had passed when Lily and Beth showed up. With them was most of the elders.
Beth: "I'm glad you contacted us."
Elder: "Have you made your decision?"
Rose looked down at the torn evelope in her hand, then at the Saturday family, next at her father and gradmother. She took in a deep breath and looked at the elders.
Rose: "I have."
