Konoha's Ice Ninja (Sasuke Uchiha) ~39~

"Don't underestimate me!" Naruto yelled again, creating more clones of himself. The Narutos circled Neji.
Neji hunched slightly, getting back into his fighting stance. "Hakkeshou Kaiten: Divination Whirl."
The clones ran forward. At this time, Neji activated his jutsu. He quickly spun around, deflecting every clone that came at him.
"Dammit," Naruto muttered, solo once more and sitting up, wiping at his mouth.
Neji began to move into another stance. It was fluid motion, like leaves in the wind. "Hakke Rokujuuyoushou: Divination Field; Sixty-Four Palms."
"This is too much..."I muttered as Neji began a barrage of attacks upon Naruto, closing up his chakra points. Naruto couldn't defend himself. AsI watched blood squirt from his mouth, I remembered almost twenty minutes ago whenI had arrived.
"Yukiko!"
Myvision was suddenly filled with bright orange.I hissed slightly as my teammate latched himself onto me.
"Down. Down boy,"I ordered.
Naruto gaveme an annoyed looked and stepped away from me. He then showed a look of curiosity. "Where have you been?"
"Away,"I shrugged.
"Troublesome," Shikamaru muttered, walking up from behind me.
Iturned around and gave a small smile. "Shika..."
Shikamaru glanced atmy attire with question butI ignored the look.Iglanced around then frowned. "Sasuke's not here..."
Shikamaru showed a bored expression. "I know. I was unsure whether you were coming either."
"Sasuke's coming. He wouldn't blow something like this..." I said.
Shikamaru sighed. "Whatever."
Naruto crossed his arms. "He's going to miss me beat the opponent to a pulp."
Ismirked ever so lightly. "I know you can do it."
"No question!"
[Naruto...]I grip upon the rail tightened even more.
Naruto, now on the ground, tried his best to get to his feet. He opened his eyes, only to find his vision blurry. It did not improve once he blinked and looked again. His hand clenched into a fist, trying his best to stand. "D-Dammit..."
Ismirked. "Naruto."
Naruto slowly, but surely, rose to his feet. He wobbled but quickly gained composure. Neji took a step back. "This...this can't be."
Naruto breathed heavily, his shoulders moving up and down slowly. Naruto chuckled, but barely. Blood trickled from his mouth, down his chin. "I told you, I won't give up that easily."
"This can't be," Neji repeated, glaring at Naruto. Naruto smirked. Neji's eyes narrowed. "You cannot beat me, your fate has said so."
"You don't know until we actually fight!" Naruto objected.
"You are hopeless," Neji spoke, sliding into his fighting stance. Byukagan activated, Neji ran forward, hitting Naruto in the chest. Naruto cried out, flying backwards and skidding across the ground. Neji spoke to the proctor. "Examiner, it's over."
"No,"I whispered.
"You dropout," Neji said hautily, staring at Naruto and beginning to walk away.
"Don't walk away..."
Neji haulted in his tracks and turned. Naruto shakily got to his feet.I smirked. Naruto held it side, one eye closed in pain. "I'm not done yet."
Neji chuckled in a taunting manner. Naruto continued weakly. "I won't lose to someone like you."
Naruto smirked but began to cough.I instinctivly pressedmy body against the railing on the balcony, leaning my upper body over it.My eyebrows quivered.
Neji smirked arrogantly. "Sixty-four of your chakra points are closed. How do you plan to fight? You can't use any chakra. In the end, you will fall, just like Hinata."
"Shut up! Stop acting like you know everything just because of that Byukagan of yours!"
Neji activated his bloodline and smirked. "So show me that what you say is true."
"Fine!"
"Naruto's in way over his head. He should just give up," Shikamaru said from beside me.
"No!" I objected.
Shikamaru looked at me with seriousness. "If he keeps going, he'll be killed."
"No,Naruto will win. Somehow, I just know."
"Not everyone can win every battle," Shikamaru spoke quietly, looking back to Naruto's match.
It was silent for a moment before Naruto smirked. Slowly, he brought his hands into a seal. Neji looked to his opponent. "I've told you, it is useless."
Naruto let out a cry, concentrating on his chakra.My eyes narrowed. [What is he trying to do...?]
"Why do you fight against your fate this hard?" Neji smirked, watching Naruto concentrate.
"Because...you called me a dropout!"
Neji's eyes narrowed and he once again, activated the Byukagan. Naruto let out a battle cry as rocks began to slowly lift from the ground. Neji's eyes widened as chakra began to swirl aroundmy teammate. {This...this can't be!}
Shikamaru's eyes widened, hands gripping the railing in surprise. "How can this be!?"
I watched silently, gulping slowly. Myeyes were wide. The chakra around Naruto was so powerful, it began to create a wind of it's own. Neji held his arms in front of his face for protection against flying debris.
"Let's begin!" Naruto smirked.
With amazing speed, Naruto jumped into the air; Neji looked around wildly. Naruto took out several shuriken, sending them at Neji. Neji quickly spun, deflecting the weapons with his technique. As Naruto flew towards Neji, he sent several shuriken Naruto's way. Naruto easily dodged the weapons. Neji clenched his teeth. "Nani!?"
Neji barely dodged to his left as Naruto suddenly appeared, aiming a punch at Neji. Quickly, Neji took out a kunai; Naruto copied his move. The two jumped back, sending the kunai hurtling at each other, only to have the two cancel out each other. Both ninja ran forward, catching their kunais and skidded back in opposite directions.
Iwatched as both boys charged at each other, chakra powered up.My eyes shook. [When did Naruto get this strong? What kind of training was he put through!?]
Both ninja met and a large flash of light engulfed the arena. I quickly flung my arms over My eys as the light turned into an explosion and debris flew in every direction. Smoke filled the arena and the only sounds were the crumbling of the rock and dirt ground.
Slowly, I pulledmy arm away from My eyes and looked down to the arena. The smoke was finishing clearing away, revealing two large holes in the ground.I watched, eyes quivering in shock.
Suddenly, from one of the holes, an arm flung out.I gripped the railing. A body came up from the hole andmy stomach dropped. It was Neji. He coughed, wiping at his mouth.
Stumbling, Neji shakily climbed from the hole and walked towards Naruto's. He stood over Naruto's body, which lay on the ground. Breathing heavily, Neji spoke. "I told you a dropout could not win against me. This was-"
Neji was suddenly cut off as the ground crumbled from in front of him, creating a hole. Emerging from the hole was a blur of orange.
"Naruto!"I exclaimed happily.
Naruto's fist thrust out, connecting with Neji's chin. The force was enough to make Neji cough up blood and fly six feet away from Naruto. The Naruto still in the hole disappeared in a cloud of smoke, indicating that it was a clone.
Naruto slowly walked over to Neji, staring down at his body. "The Shadow Clone technique that I used to beat you, was always my worst jutsu. I failed the graduation exam three times because I couldn't do it. But I wanted to pass, so I changed it. So stop going around, boasting of how fate can't be changed."
It was silent for a minute before the proctor smirked, raising his right hand. "Winner, Uzamaki Naruto."
