The Beginning Of The End [Joe/Nick] Meeting
Written by gdy2shoes and LibbyJoeLove. Hope you LOVE it!!!"Then we can meet a group for canoe lessons after lunch..." Layla continued to inform Aleha of all the hotels activities.
"Layla, stop already! I have a better plan; it's called being spontaneous." Aleha ripped the guide from Layla's hands, "We don't need to plan every single thing we do. This is our last big thing before college and I want to have fun."
"What has taken over your brain Aleha? I have been trying to get you to loosen up since we got here three days ago!"
"Come on! Get dressed so we can go down to the beach for a party already." The girls began to rush, trying to pick out an outfit and get ready to go.
After thirty minutes of picking out the perfect party outfits they headed down to the beach from their hotel suite.
"I'll go find us something to drink." Aleha smiled as she walked away from Layla.
Layla slid her thumbs into the back pockets of her jeans as she scanned the area for a friendly face.
"Well aren't you fine!" A guy approached Layla as she stood waiting for Aleha.
Layla didn't respond and quickly tried to walk away, but the guy caught her arm, pulling her back.
"Stay here. Or come to my hotel room with me and get to know me better?" He pulled her closer, with a sleazy look on his face, and she fought to push him away.
"Leave her alone." A guy's voice said in a stern yet calm tone.
"What are you going to do about it?" The scumbag asked.
The hero and the pervert began pushing and shoving each other. Layla rolled her eyes as she stood watching them, thinking about walking away. Before she could, the pervert punched the hero in the face and with that, the hero punched the pervert in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground.
"Next time a girl isn't interested, leave her be." the hero said as he watched the perv limp away.
He turned to face Layla, who gave him an unimpressed look.
"I hope you don't expect a 'thank you' because I could've handled that idiot by myself." Layla said as she crossed her arms over her chest with attitude.
"I'm Nick. And you are?" he asked as if he hadn't heard what she had said.
"Layla." she said before walking off, in search of Aleha.
"Well, Layla, I'm sure you could have handled that creep by yourself but I did it for you. I bled for you, Babe." he said, signaling to the cut on his cheek.
"Sorry, 'Babe', but I don't feel indebted to you. You might want to go find another damsel in distress." Layla smirked as she left him. While Layla was unintentionally mesmerizing Nick, Aleha was awaiting service at the bar.
"Unbelievable." Aleha muttered to herself as she crossed her arms over her chest in an irritated manner.
"Agreed." she heard a voice reply.
She turned to face an attractive guy with short, curly brown hair and a smirk on his face. She smiled back at him, enamored.
"I'm Kevin." he said.
"Aleha." she said.
"Well, Aleha, I have a great solution to a situation like this." he said.
"Oh, and what might that be?" Aleha asked flirtatiously.
"Beer sound okay?" he asked.
She nodded.
He swiftly reached over the bar and grabbed two bottles of beer, handing one to Aleha. She smiled gratefully.
"Oh, would you mind using your skills to grab me another for my friend?" Aleha asked with puppy-dog eyes.
"Depends. Is this friend your boyfriend?" Kevin asked with a smirk.
"No," Aleha laughed, "She's my best friend; a girl."
"Okay." he said, grabbing one more beer and dropping a twenty dollar bill.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" the bartender shouted.
Kevin ran, pulling Aleha with him, both of them laughing.
"So," Kevin said, taking a sip of beer, "want to dance or something?" he asked.
She blushed.
"Yeah, let me just run this over to Layla really quick." she said.
He smiled as she scurried off.
"Aleha, there you are!" Layla said with relief.
"Yeah, but I'm not here for long. I met this really cute guy. Would you mind if I..." Aleha began.
"Ditched me to go hang with him and potentially sleep with him?" Layla giggled, finishing Aleha's sentence.
Aleha blushed.
"Well, I wasn't planning on the latter part, but...do you mind?" Aleha asked.
Layla smiled and nodded.
"No problem. I think I'm just going to head back to the hotel." she said.
"Okay. See you in a while." Aleha grinned as she headed back in the crowd to Kevin.
