Recurrent Yeast Infection -- Causes and Treatments

Created by skageetyi on Wednesday, November 04, 2009

Candidiasis or genital yeast infection is a prevalent condition experienced by at least 75% of the Earth's female population. Almost all of the time, this infection will disappear by itself but in about seven p.c of these cases, the infection will stubbornly return even after you have eliminated it with medication.
Standard kinds of yeast infection can be dealt with by practicing exemplary hygiene or by employing simple home-made treatments. But if your genital yeast infection keeps coming back five or more times in a year, it is thought of as a re-occurring yeast infection and may need a more radical treatment strategy.
Where Does recurrent yeast infection Come From?
Re-occurring yeast infection is an offshoot of the excessive reproduction of the fungus Candida albicans. This microbe can be found in nearly all places, including human skin. They're generally harmless but can cause damage when allowed to grow beyond certain limits.
These are some of the reasons for this overgrowth :
1. Medicines. Antibiotics particularly are not too friendly with bacteria. However [*COMMA] these meds kill not just the bad but also the good bacteria that control fungus production in the body.
2. Contraceptives. Estrogen messes up the balance in the vagina, making it more vulnerable to infections caused by the Candida albicans fungus.
three. HIV. Folk diagnosed as having HIV have weaker immune defenses and are much more likely to submit to infections like Candidiasis.
4. Immune-depressing drugs. Obviously, these drugs cause your immune reaction to grow worse slightly, opening the danger of infection. Such drugs include cancer medications and steroids.
five. Diabetes. Fungi prosper in sugary environments, which is precisely what a diabetic's body is. The additional sugar in the urine makes diabetics rather more likely to develop genital yeast infection.
How can we Stop recurring Yeast Infection?
Recurrent yeast infection can be handled and prevented by making some simple changes in what you eat and what you wear. Plenty of water is essential to flush out damaging poisons in the body and loose clothing will help stop you from perspiring too much. Also, having sex with just one person would be a good idea.
apart from these protective measures, you need to also see a doctor to determine whether you do have Candidiasis or not. If the diagnosis is positive, your GP will be in a position to give you the obligatory prescriptions.
