I've been looking in the mirror for so long.

“Zo, are you ok?” Both Ruka and Kit asked the minute my feet were on the ground.

“We saw everything but Genkai wouldn’t let us help you out.” Kit said.

“Yeah she made us take care of the losers over there.” Ruka said pouting her displeasure.

“I’m fine girls. Anyway,” I said turning to face Hiei and Kurama who were still staring at Tai. “If you keep staring she’s going to get upset and bit you. She’s done it before. Genkai these two are quite good.”

“But?” Genkai asked as she walked over to the two of them.

“What but, I didn’t say but?” I said in confusion.

“Sorry just knowing you for so long it’s hard not to think that there should be a but at the end of every one of your sentences.” Smiling she turned to Yusuke and Kuwabara who were still looking as if they had just died. “Well I guess you proved your point. I’ll continue to train these two until they can stand at least for a minute in front of you and not get the shit beat out of them.”

“Sounds like fun. Do you think I could do some etherizes with them and the girls? Mostly Kuwabara. He needs to get over the whole fighting with girls thing. In the Makai he wouldn’t last ten seconds. Most of the more vicious attackers are girls.” With that being said I turned and walked back into the temple to take a nap. With the girls following me we all headed to our wing to get a good start on what was to come and not a moment to soon.

“So Meijin, what do you think of the two yokai?” Tai asked as soon as we were back in my room.

“Tai do you get the feeling that you’ve met one of them before?” I asked as I thought back onto what had happened earlier during the fight.

“Yes, one of them we met when we were quite young, but which one I have not a clue. Have shinnen, Meijin all will be fine.”

“Thank you, Tai. You really are my shinyuu.” Turning I started to shift through my belongings to find a clean pair of clothing to change into. “Tai, I would like to have at least one of the girls able to fight at a distance. Who do you think we should train with Yusuke?”

“Usagi, our bottomless pit of furriness, she would be a great sogekihei. What do you think?” Tai said while laughing. We both knew that if Genkai didn’t lock her cupboards at night come morning there wouldn’t even be a crumb for the insects to eat.

“Yes, she would make a great sogekihei.”

“Meijin why do I get the feeling a giman is occurring close to our hearts?” Tai whispered as she crawled onto my bed.

“I don’t know Tai yet I feel the same way. My question is who?” I said as I finally found a cute outfit. It was a black tank top with a black and gray plaid skirt. Putting on my thigh high black stockings I grabbed my accessories and started to put them on too. Looking at myself in the mirror I realized that my braid didn’t go to well with it so I traded that out and parted my hair into two pigtails that were caught right behind my ears.

“You look wonderful Meijin. Nobody will be able to look away from you dressed like that. You’re more beautiful than asatsuyu in the taiyou.” Smiling I jumped up on the bed next to her.

“Tai, thank you.”

“It is the truth. Just wait until dinner and you will have your shoumei. Your kibou is so small that it will fly away if you let it.” With that said Tai just up and left. I heard her enter her room and let out a small cry. Startled I jumped off of my bed and ran to her room.

“What’s wrong Tai?”

“Look, somebody cleaned my room.” Dazed she wandered around and looked at the freshly cleaned windows and the scrubbed floors. “Who could have done this? A shinpi? Here? It is just like Tengoku.”

Laughing I watched her dance around her room until I heard a noise down the hall. Well this was definitely different. What were my other girls up to this time?

“I’ll be back in a little bit, ok Tai?”

“Ok Meijin.”

Heading down the hall I found both Ruka and Kit in my room with mop buckets and scrub brushes. Quietly so as not to startle them I watched from the doorway as they went about straightening my room. Opening the windows and scrubbing both the inside and outside, scrubbing the floors and remaking my bed that Tai had messed up when she jumped on it.

They even went into the bathroom and scrubbed that down from floor to ceiling. They both smiled triumphantly as they looked around at there handiwork.

“Thank you girls, I was going to get to that a little later today.” I said making them whip around.

“Oh hi mom.” Ruka said as she smiled up at me.

“Mom? Well that’s a first.” I said smiling back at the two girls who could very well be my older sisters by looks alone.

“It is ok that we call you that, right?” Kit asked with a shy smile on her face.

“I would love to be your mother, but this mothers hungry so can we go get something to eat. I’m famished just watching you work so hard. Plus I think dinner needs to be cooked for Genkai and the boys.” I said with a smiling.

“Can I put some Doku in it?” Tai asked as she came up behind me.

“No Tai you can’t poison them.” I said in an exasperated voice. She was always trying to poison somebody. Turning I led the way to the kitchen.

“So you’re a reidou now? Or should I call you hahaoya instead?” Tai asked as we set the girls about there tasks in the kitchen.
