I'll Be Ur Hero~ Part 7

Xx Shelby's POV xX
I wonder what Joe & Papa J were talking about. Joe looks rather upset. "Joe?" I called his name. He looked up and smiled at me. We got in the car and drove home. Ugh, why do I have to go home? I looked up at Joe and was still upset and thinking about something, troubling I guessed.
"Joe?" He quickly looked down at me and smiled.
"I told you don't worry okay? I'm just thinking about some things." he said kissing my forehead.
"Well you're thinking pretty hard over there. I'm not totally sure your brain can handle it." I smiled ruffling his hair.
I'm willing to say anything to get his mind off of whatever he's thinking about. I can tell it's upsetting him, and I don't like seeing him upset.
"Burn!" Kevin said.
"Haha. Man! I thought you wouldn't pick on me now that we're boyfriend and girlfriend." Joe pouted, but I knew he was playing along.
"Aw honey... I get to pick on you twice as much now. I thought you would've figured that out." I said.
He looked at me and dropped his jaw.

"Well! Then I get to pick on you three times as much then. Ha!" he smiled. I laughed.
"Uh, no. That's not how it works." I said.
"Not usually, but that's how its gonna work with us." Joe said.
"Nope." I crossed my arms and turned to look out the window.
"Shellz?" I didn't answer, so he started tapping repeatedly on my shoulder. It got very annoying, so I turned around and, as soon as I did, our lips met. I didn't kiss back because it took me off guard, so he stopped after a few seconds and looked down at me.
"Did that change your mind?" he asked.
"Hmm.... Nope!"
"Fine. I'll just... just..." For a moment he didn't know what to say. Then he got this sneaky look on his face that I wouldn't have seen if it wasn't for the on-coming traffic.
"I'll just stop kissing you." He crossed his arms and had a evil smile on his face.
"No!!" I said a little too quickly and a little too loudly.

"Wow Shelby. That didn't sound desperate at all." Kevin laughed.
I blushed and looked down. He's got a point, I sounded so desperate when I said that. I'm pathetic. I heard Joe slap Kevin, then hecupped my chinforcing me to look at him.
"Don't listen to Kevin. And trust me, I won't stop kissing you." he said pecking my lips.
"See? You're just too sweet and lovable. You're. Irresistable. And. Have. Soft. Pink. Lips." he said, kissing me between each word. I couldn't help but smile.
But I felt like messing with him a little, so I said,
"Are you sure? Or are you just saying that because Kevin is listening?"
Joe frowned. He obviously didn't see my hint of a grin as I said that.
"I'm not joking Shelby. I really love you. And..." he said, then leaned down to whisper in my ear, "not kissing you is like, telling the sun not to shine. It can't be done. Just like my love for you, it will never die."

Then he kissed me again, but this time, I really got into it. But, we had to break apart before it got too intense. I mean, Kevin's seen this kind of thing on tv, and he's probably done it himself, but it felt... awkward knowing Kevin was watching us kissing like that.
"Well, one day the sun will burn out you know."I said looking up at Joe to see his reaction.
"Yeah. But scientists said like a millon something more years. Some people say that Earth will be sucked into a black hole before the sun burns out."
"Wow. I don't want to talk about this anymore." I frowned.
He chuckled and put his arm around my shoulders. Thinking aboutthe up-coming 2012 Apocalypse seriouslyscares the bejeezus out of me, so I tried to think of a different topic. I couldn't, so I kissed him. It was very brief, but it got our minds off of the subject.

A few moments later, we reached our street. Kevin pulled up in front of my house, turned off the engine, and we all got out.
"Bye Ellzy. So, are you gonna drive to school in the morning or should I come and get you?" Kevin asked giving me a hug.
"I'll drive." I said hugging him again.
He kissed the top of my head then let me go. Me and Joe stood on the side of the car opposite the house, so that I could hug and kiss him goodbye and not get in trouble for it.
"Bye babe. Text me ok?" Joe asked hugging me tight.
"Ok. Are you and Nick riding with me in the morning?" I asked, still holding him close.
I felt safe right now in his arms, but I knew it would end once he let me go and I stepped inside my house.
"Yeah. Just text me when you wake up so we'll know when you'll be over ok?"
"Yeah." I whispered.

I sighed heavily as I looked up at him.
"It'll be ok. Sounds quiet, maybe he's passed out." Joe knew that I hated being home. They all did really.
"Hopefully." I whispered then kissed him.
"I love you, honey." he said.
"I love you too, Joe."
"We'll be out here until you are upstairs okay?"
"Ok. Thank you." I kissed him one last time then grabbed my bags and went inside. I paused briefly at the front door and slowly opened it and quietly shut it but I didn't stop to look around, I just walked quickly to the stairs & didn't stop walking until I reached my room, shut the door and locked it. I sat my bags on the bed and walked over to the window. They had the head lights off, but car running, waiting for a thumbs up. I gave a thumbs up and they slowly drove down the street to their house. I got in the shower, put on some old sweats & an old shirt and lay down. I was almost asleep when my phone vibrated.

*Glad he didn't yell at you. good night angel, love<3 Joey.*

I smiled and replied,

*Im glad he didnt eithr. I barly lookd around but he was probly in the kitchen. But im tired. nite baby. ilu<3 Shellz*
