Door Access Control System: Extra convenience with an additional master station

Created by kaleb44 on Monday, November 16, 2009

Installing a door access control system is an excellent way to monitor the entrances to a residential property and to easily grant access to people who are visiting. One way to make these systems even more convenient for the property owner or resident is to also install an additional master station within the property so as to reduce the distance that they need to travel to use the system. This is a great improvement particularly when the door access control system is installed on a large property.

A conventional door access control system has only two stations. One is fitted outside the entrance to the property and the other is fitted somewhere within the property. When a visitor arrives at the entrance they press a button on the station and this rings an alarm at the master station inside.

The person inside the property then presses a button on the master station which allows them to talk to the person outside. If it is a large property they may need to walk a long way to reach the master station to respond to the alarm. Installing a second master station at handy location reduces this need and makes the door access control system even more efficient and convenient.
