A Reason Worth Living For
“Why are you always mad?” The girl asked the guy that she was madly in love with. Frustration seething in the words.
“I’m not mad.” The guy told the girl, he was looking at the girl with so much emotion he didn’t understand.
“Yeah right. You’re always mad. You’re always sad. Your….. You’re never happy!” The girl threw her hands up as to saying she was tired and giving up.
“Why do you hate the world?” The girl whispered so low. The girl was in love with the guy who showed no emotion. She fell for the guy who didn’t love anything.
“I don’t hate the world.” He whispered. He was scared to look her in the eyes. He felt if he did he would show the emotion, he didn’t want her to know.
“Sadly I don’t believe you.” The girl wanted the boy to look at her. She wanted him to feel what she felt for him.
“Why?” The boy asked, finally looking her in the eyes. He took a couple of steps cover to her. He as afraid if he touched her, grabbed her hands, that she would pull away?
“…Because you never show me anything,” her voice quivered as she spoke. “Its like you don’t even want to live.”
“What if I told you that I found something worth living for?” The boy told her. .
“Yeah right? You hate everything. You hate movie’. You hate-”
The boy cut the girl off. “I hate movie’s because they’re loud and annoying and overrated.”
“You hate eating out.” The girl continued on.
“Because the foods greasy.” The boy tried defending himself.
“You hate books.”
“Only because they’re useless to me.”
“So am I useless to you? Do you hate me to?” The girl asked, scared to hear the answer.
Instead of answering the question the boy told her what was the thing that was worth living for.
“You.”
“Huh?” The girl asked in confusion.
“ You are my reason worth living.” The boy walked closer to her and embraced her with a hug. “You’re the reason to breathe to live. I don’t hate you. I don’t think I could ever hate you.” With that he ended the conversation with the kiss that both was been waiting for his whole life.
