50 Ways To Spend Your Christmas, Stuck With an Annoyingly Hot Emo Delinquent [12]
I know it's short. I know it's a filler. I know! But I'm having a tiny writer's block at the moment. Even so, I do hope you'll enjoy it. I finally updated http://quixotic-typewriter.blogspot.com/ too. Thanks for reading :310) Play Uno.
11) Fall asleep while playing Uno.
My toe felt something warm underneath the covers. Whatever cards I had left last night fell on the floor along with my book. I was planning to study that night anyway. That was, until Nathan came into the room and said he was bored.
So the only way for him to kill it was to annoy the hell out of me.
We went into his room (me, kind of dragging him into his room) and took out a deck of Uno. I lost. 7 times. But whatever, I was getting tired anyway. Speaking of which, did I even left the guest room that night?
It was like I had no memory of the events last night whatsoever.
I rested the back of my hand on my head as I opened my eyes. God, what happened last night? I remembered after dinner, I did the dishes. I stared at the ceiling silently. After that Nathan and I argued a lot about books.
And then I remembered the Uno thing.
I sighed, turning around on my side.
My yawn abruptly stopped as I let out a small shriek. My hand immediately went over my mouth. Oh god, oh my god.
Did I acidentally slept here?!
My toe was still playing with Nathan's leg. So I stopped.
Instead of getting up and running away like my mind was screaming for me to do, my body stayed stationary next to his. The bed wasn't that big, but it was enough to hold two people perfectly. He looked almost childish when he was sleeping, I realized.
Ugh, I was tired.
"Morning," he whispered and I let out another shriek as he smirked. "M-m-mor--"
He got up and stretched. "I never slept so soundly in my life. And I think I've got a card stuck on my ass."
Sure enough, when he rolled over there were a couple of cards underneath him. He picked it up, completely oblivious to how close we were. In desperation, I rolled off the bed and blushing fervently, I muttered something that even I couldn't understand under my breath and walked briskly out of the guest room.
Never again will I look at Uno in the same way.

Nathan's eyes were fixated on Charlotte as she left the room in a hurry. When she closed the door, a smile appeared on his face for no reason. He got up and went to search for his towel.
But found a book instead.
The suprvisor of his detention center would be coming again today, to make sure he didn't run away or anything. It would be impossible anyway, since they had a way of tracking them down. God knew how, but at least a dozen kids tried to escape when there were events like this.
And everytime those kids got punished. Real bad.
He flicked open the book, frowning to himself. He didn't knew why he brought it in the first place. It was an album, to be more specific. Colorful pictures that captured memories on every pages. His long-forgotten life in California.
Throwing it aside, he went into the bathroom as if he never find the photographs in the first place.
