50 Ways To Spend Your Christmas, Stuck With an Annoyingly Hot Emo Delinquent [18]
I admit it. I have writer's block. That's one of the reasons why I couldn't update two times in a day like I always did. And god let's hope the story that someone stole from me again (read my journal :D) would be removed. Thanks so much for reading. It's just a very short chapter though, so I'm really sorry about that.15) We all know curiosity killed the cat...but no one can hold themselves when the thing is shiny.
"What is with girls and shiny things?" Nate scolded but I ignored him. "It's in our brain. Anything from diamonds to...whatever these are, most of us loves shiny things," I muttered, a smile spread across my face as I poked the small crystal cat statues.
"That doesn't even make the slightest sense to me."
"Because you...you're a guy," I said slowly as if I was talking to a stubborn 5-year-old. "Carrot, come back here," he said. "Those are actually expensive miniatures kittens made from swavroski crystals."
"You're just saying that because you're jealous that I'm paying more attention to these crystals!"
"No, the last time I nearly broke those things my mother gagged me and tied me to a chair for the entire day. Charlotte, I'm not joking. She bought those--"
16) Break nearly all of those crystals.
"Oh shit!" I gasped as I tried to reach out for the falling kitten. But my knee accidentally banged onto to leg of the table and ended up trying to juggle everything at once. Of course, the only way I could save all of them was to be Superman.
And I was so not going to wear my underpants outside.
"Since when you've become clumsy?" he said after a moment of silence. Maybe to mourn after the crystal kitties. I got up when the panic finally settled in deep enough to freak me out.
"Oh my god! OH MY GOD! I'm so sorry!" I shrieked but Jane walked out with a tray of cups and a plate of cookies. "Oh don't worry, those things were ugly anyway."
Nate gaped at his mother. "They were really shiny though, but I found a new collection. Even more shiny," she said, motioning towards a cabinet behind her which was filled with weird looking crystals. "Okay, you're either drunk or nuts."
"I'm neither," his mother replied promptly. "On the contrary, I'm depressed."
Nathan rudely slumped back into his seat and sighed, sounding really annoyed. "What is it now? A pair of amazing Jimmy Chew doesn't fit you?"
"Jimmy Choo," Jane corrected. "And no, that's not the reason why," she snapped, irritated by her son's lack of interest. "I think your father is having an affair."
While I gasped in horror, Nathan looked as if he heard someone told him a story about cheese. "I don't know what to say," he said, sounding rather bored. "Th-that's horrible," I said, blushing. But it looked as if I said the magic words.
"ISN'T IT?!" she screamed angrily. Passer-by would probably thought a banshee was living in the house. "So we're getting a divorce," she finished. At the mention of this, Nate stood up angrily. "Can't you wait till after my birthday next year?"
Oh yeah...
"You'll just have to settle inside the center--"
"So you're going to leave me inside that hell hole? Just like that? Is this why you called me here in the first place, to...to make me feel more misrerable than I was?!"
His mother protested vehemently but Nathan decided to storm out of the house. I apologized sincerely to Jane Bradley before chasing him out. "Nathan!" I yelled out. "Nathan, please! You have to consider her feelings too--"
He turned around, giving me a sharp glare. "Her feelings? HER feelings?! That idiot of a woman who thinks as long as she's okay, then everyone's just fine as well?" he shouted back, his face contorted with anger.
"Nate..."
"Leave me alone," he said, loud enough for me to hear it.
It was a bright day in California.
I wished I could say the same about Nathan as he walked out of the gate with his hands in his pocket, refusing to look at me.

A/N: I'm sorry I was unable to put up any banners tonight. I don't know why I can't post it up here but I'm going to definitely put it up in the next chapters. Thanks!
