For those who are looking for a good book to read, the following is a list of of books that covers a wide array of topics to choose from. Each author are gifted with their respective teachings on topics that they discuss thoroughly in each book they have written, which could also be used as reference by readers.
1. "Approval Addiction: Overcoming Your Need to Please Everyone" by Joyce Meyer
Joyce Meyer, I believe, is one of the best Bible teachers we have to-date. She provides a good commentary and insight on the problem that many of us face today, that of trying to please everyone and anyone. Meyer's teachings have greatly influenced many people. I would highly recommend this book who has this particular problem, which is manifested through the way they relate and interact with other people.
2. "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer
This is yet another great and very solid book from the same author. This book tackles about the need for the transformation and renewal of our human minds, which is said to be the battlefield between God, the devil and our own flesh. Every Christian must learn how to walk in the Spirit and do things according to His ways. Learning how to steer clear from negative thoughts can help us resist temptations.
Your thoughts dictate who you are. You become what you imagine yourself to be. This is a way for the devil will always try to go after your mind. Demons will also try to control your thought process to to seduce you in their way of life. They would lure you away from the Lord. But the Lord will lead us to His ways of thinking and living in this life. This is one of the best books she has ever written and she discusses one of the most important areas of spiritual development in a believer's life.
3. "Be Anxious For Nothing: The Art of Casting Your Cares and Resting in God" by Joyce Meyer
People find it hard to find true peace in this fast-paced and stressful world we live in. Many worry endlessly about anything and everything. But one should remember that the Lord commands us to be anxious for nothing. Joyce does a very good job in covering the appropriate Scripture verses on this command. She also teaches the reader some ways to apply this in their personal lives.
She gives very good examples of how she learned how to do it for herself as she used to be constantly worrying and complaining about everything. Once she was able to grasp this powerful revelation and truth from God's Word, and then learn how to really get it worked into her mindset and way of thinking and living in this life, she was then able to settle down and enjoy this life much more fully.
