Mobile phones are the new trendsetters with their touch screen monitors prompting mobile phone manufacturer's to constantly outdo each other in terms of technology and features. Touchscreen mobile phones are the leading units in cellular phones in the market to date. Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second largest mobile phone maker declared that it shipped its 50 millionth full touchscreen mobile phone at the end of November of 2009.
Minor differences can be noted on various leading touchscreen mobile devices. But no matter how minute they are, this will serve as their selling point to get that niche in the market. The famous Apple iPhone initiated the touchscreen race and is still considered to be the leader in this technology.
The iPhone 3GS has finger friendly usability. It has multi-touch capability permitting the user to use more than one finger. The most important consideration for touchscreen phones is how responsive it is to the user's gentle prodding. It's immediate and accurate reaction to light tapping will be its main judging factor. Another feature to consider is the phone's interface or sometimes referred to as the home screen. Mobile phones require the use of your fingers. Having to use the aid of a stylus is somewhat passé. HTC's HD2 customized interface's responsiveness meets this requirement.
Large on-screen icons designed for using the fingers is a plus. Large screens are also appreciated although they are prone to fingerprint marks and potential cracks when accidentally dropped. A wide array of accessories such as cases or protective screens is available in the market for protection. Large screens may leave a strain on battery life but this is a small price to pay for form and functionality. LG's answer to this problem is the GD 510. It boasts off a solar-cell powered battery cover that charges the phone by using the power of the sun. It is specifically designed to save energy and help protect the environment since its packaging is made from recycled paper from soy ink printing and is made up of hazardous-free components.
touch screen monitors are the latest craze and although the technology is the same, manufacturers are on their toes upping each other in the market.
