Tom looked up at the sky as he lay on his bed, the 20 year old simple thought of what to do he tried everything. He searched the city from head to toe and he travelled the city to see if there was anyone left. But it almost seemed like years since he saw someone alive. Simply because the infection started and of course it was going to spread and then it turned on everyone. People lost their minds and began to turn on themselves. They we someone they didn’t know…like someone had put themselves in their body. Tom thought he was the only person left but of course to survive you need hope.
Flash Back.
Tom grabbed his wife and pushed her inside his car. As his 10 year old son was still sitting at the back looking confused.
She screamed “I won’t leave you here!” Tom shook his head and slammed the car door shut as Bill was in the drivers seat, ready to take Toms wife and son away to the sea where they were taking people away so they wouldn’t get infected by the disease that had been spreading over time. But not even the top scientists all over the world couldn’t find a cure. Tom wasn’t going to let them suffer.
Tom said “you have got to be safe…I’ll see you soon ok just let this thing passes.”
The boy looked at his mother as she was screaming and crying trying to get out the car.
The woman screamed “But Tom you could die!” Tom shook his head and felt tears run down his cheek. Tom bent down and kissed his wife’s cheek for he knew it would be the last time he would see her again. The young man smiled at his son and kissed his forehead.
Tom smiled and said “you look after Mummy for me while Daddy’s gone ok?”
The small boy smiled and said “Ok Daddy but come back soon ok?”
Tom chuckled slightly and said “I will” Bill and Tom said their goodbyes. Tom was letting his whole family go but he wasn’t going. At least 1 member of every family had to stay and Tom had told his family he would stay and fight anything. They drove of and Tom stood on the road and closed his eyes.
Tom whispered “3...2...1” Then an infected Human jumped on Tom and Tom knew he was going to fight for his life…
Tom walked down the street like he did every morning. Tom saw many abandon cars and every day stuff that we would use just lying around. Shop windows were smashed to where everyone had gone insane and wanting to use anything for a cure. Tom kept his head up high as in his left hand was a gun and on his right was his dog.
Tom sighed and said “where should we go today?” Tom acted like his dog was a human…simply because he knew his dog was the only thing left that would love Tom back.
Flash Back
“Everyone Was Found Dead In The Ocean, No One Was Saved”
Tom sighed…he couldn’t believe it…his whole family died in that one night even his 10 year old son. He was for too young to die he still had his whole life ahead of him and he even told Tom he was going to be like a guitarist when he grew up. Tom shook his head and began to walk with his dog right by his side. They wondered around the city to see if there was anyone left. It almost seemed impossible to find anyone alive the infection had speared so quickly that it seemed almost unreal. But of course to keep Tom going and not to give up for him to do that, he had to believe there was someone out there just waiting for someone to come along. Tom sighed and felt alone. Tom missed waking up to his wife and then taking his son to school. But it was all a dream now and to keep them proud Tom was going to find someone. Then the dog stopped in its tracks and began to growl
Tom very slowly looked up to see about 5 infected humans…all of them had pale skin with bloodshot eyes. Looking at Tom like he was something new.
One of them growled “he’s still alive.” Tom took a step back and looked at the five faces looking about at him. The five of them glared at Tom and his dog and in seconds they were all over Tom. Tom screamed and began to push them off. Tom screamed for mercy. But their blood just wasn’t the same…as they scratched Tom and rip his skin. Tom looked into their eyes and he knew it wasn’t the real them...Tom’s dog barked loudly and jumped on them. The young man gasped loudly and got up and ran into an abandoned car and screamed for my dog to come inside. Tom’s dog quickly jumped in the car and Tom quickly drove of even though they were still running after him.
One screamed “HE MUST HAVE A CURE!” Tom felt tears race down my cheek as he tried to get past the sharp roads of the empty City. Tom wished he could find a cure. These people weren’t mean people. They had simply lost everything and someone else had taken over their mind, slowly and painfully.
Tom finally lost them and felt his heart sink and he banged his back against the chair and groaned. Tom was blaming himself because he wanted to help but he just couldn’t…if the smartest people around the world couldn’t do it then how could he? Tom sighed and looked at his dog that was looking at Tom like he was trying to encourage him.
Tom smiled gently and stroked his dog and said “it’s just you and me…” Tom smiled and got out his car. Tom was going to try his hardest to help anyone, or anything. Tom walked along to the beach were his very family had died that tragic night. Tom walked along the brown sand and looked at the dark blue sea. Tom stood there looking at the ocean where so many people must still be dead underneath. Tom watched as the waves slowly went in and out. Tom looked at his dog and smiled.
Tom smiled and said “you do your job and I’ll do mine.” The dog barked and ran into the sea and began to swim. Toms dog would simple try and see if there was any movement in the sea or see if there was anybody screaming for help. Tom smiled and walked along the beach while the wind blew gently in his face.
Tom climbed the brick wall and was on the edge of it then there was a fall onto the sea. Tom looked around like he did every day. Tom saw his dog swim around and he knew that they were both desperate to find anyone alive.
Tom took in a deep breath of the ocean air and screamed out “IF YOU NEED HELP PLEASE COME FORWARD! I AM NOT ONE OF THEM! I CAN HELP YOU! PLEASE COME FORWARD! YOU’RE NOT ALONE!!”
Tom voice echoed around the empty streets of the city and the abandoned beach
….Like He Did Every Day.....

I know this is short but the story brings tears to my eyes......I know this is wierd and there might be little writing but its the story that counts and also the message that it brings....
