Not Your Princess (Vegeta) 34 - Vegeta's rejection?
XxX All should become clear....I hope :S i do gt confused my self and it is a complex thingamabob...XxX enjoy xD XxX“Isn’t this rather demanding...” Bulma mused quietly as Darcy stood in silence, “Well, I’ll start with this...close the door please.” And Darcy did so, slamming it harder than necessary, she took a seat across the bed where she glared at the woman. “Well what would you like to know?” She asked Darcy.
“Tell me who and what I am.” Darcy asked shakily, and clasped her hands together tightly.
“You are Project 563, based on little Aisha Thryss, she were an orphan, a human, you became an Android-“
“YOU TOLD ME I WAS A SAIYEN.” Darcy barked aloud in irritation, ”Or at least a hybrid!!” and Bulma shook her head slowly,
“This may take a while to explain, but can you remember anything at all from before your years with Master Roshi.” Bulma questioned her delicately, Darcy closed her eyes, wracking her memories for a shred of anything to defy her existence as an android – anything at all...
--
“Hello there Bulma!” A boy’s voice shouted happily,
“You can open your eyes now...” Bulma coaxed, and Darcy squinted into the bright sunlight, ahead of her was a small beach house of some sort, a small boy waving towards her cheerfully besides a bald surly looking boy who merely sulked. “Good girl, now this is Goku and Krillin...”
--
“Hello there, my names Bulma, what’s yours?”
“Darcy...”
--
“I can’t remember anything before you.” Darcy croaked out reluctantly, and looked up at Bulma who murmured, “I thought so.”
“Well why?” Darcy questioned her expression pained as she found, she couldn’t remember now that she actually tried to,
“Because...this may sound rather harsh, but I had to detonate your memory cells and re grow them-“
“Why?!” Darcy exclaimed aghast in horror, “That’s just – “
“Yeah, stop yelling at me and I’ll tell you why!” Bulma snapped at Darcy who silently fumed but kept her mouth firmly shut. “Right, I’ll start from the real real beginning.”
“Okay then.” Darcy shot out acidly,
“It was August sometime, I’ve forgotten when, I was in the CC corp when I heard crashing and screaming. So yeah, I ran out etc, and in the street there’d been a car crash, it was a really messy one too. One of the cars flipped and burning, the other one absolutely broken with smoke coming out, there was loads of people around, helping the bodies stuck inside-“
“Wait –bodies?” Darcy queried,
“Yeah...I knew they were all ready dead, snap of the neck ya know.”
“Oh...” Darcy said quietly, “Were they my parents?”
“Not yours, project something, I can’t remember the exact number but she was the first project.” Bulma explained,
“Why’d you call her a project? Not her- my actual name?” Darcy asked,
“Right let me continue and you’ll get it eventually.” Bulma said and inhaled deeply, “Okay, everyone had got the bodies out, Aisha the girl, was in one of them, some guy checked her pulse etc, and then...err I remember I somehow got the body into the CC lab. I remember being so upset, she was so young... just five or so.
She had the faintest pulse ever, so I wired her up to loads of machines, ones to keep her lungs moist, supply oxygen, blood, keeping her heart pulses up etc but really in the end all I did was for nothing. Her body was wrecked beyond repair, it just gave up, so I had a moment of just sheer intelligence. I cloned the entire DNA structure of her, implanted it etc etc - You won’t understand the scientific labouring I did - and then finally I had several android based “puppets” you could say or shells. They were just empty biological-“
“If it’s biological it’s hardly an android then is it? Androids are robot things with metal.” Darcy argued stiffly,
“In the scientific world we ALWAYS class anything as an android since it’s man-made, your every tissue, hair was synthetic, although living, material, of the highest quality, you’re hard pressed to find anything better.”
“So I’m a living robot??” Darcy asked her in miffed confusion,
“You could say so, but it’s not that simple, you don’t possess a chip or a CPU within you, you are all biological, but a manufactured biological. As I was saying I originally made one single functioning puppet, besides cloning the body I also cloned the brain, holding copies of it in data-“
“Bulma, why was there so much of this technology?! I thought there was issues with cloning and stuff-”
“Let me continue...Right I had them shells of clones didn’t I, I then created cranium flesh, hard lined with cells of information, that were borderline metallic – it’s hard to explain but I created your brain with threads finer than your hair I’ll put it that way. And then finally – I fused it into the first shell.”
“Sounds like an incredibly rough explanation, something like a Frankenstein experiment.” Darcy muttered bitterly,
“I believe all scientists have yearned for my creations – yes I did make several before you.” Bulma said proudly, “The first one was naturally faulty, she wasn’t stable in the least in addition to the minor Saiyen DNA I added her body mentality was blown out of proportions and was imbalanced, she harmed herself more so, so I deactivated her.”
“Just like that? What was she like?”
“Hmm...her movement and so was perfect, it was the mental side that was imbalanced, the cloned part of the brain was perfect, it was where the I rebuilt the brain it was faulty, she spewed on mountains about her past memories that were fake, and then time to time she’d have a physiological episode where she’d go on a savage hunt after humans, I’d sometimes find her stalking me for blood, or clawing insanely at herself.” Bulma explained huffily,
“I see, because of the Saiyen side? What happened then?” Darcy asked curiously,
“I assumed it was because of the Saiyen DNA rejecting its counterpart and vice versa it was shredding her mind to pieces essentially. I documented her problems and things, and incinerated her body, and then moved to the cloned shell two, with some adjustments the clone shell came to life. This time the human side rejected the Saiyen DNA in phases as I increased the dosage, so she suffered times of inexplicably rage and power chunk by chunk, one day she’d be as meek as a lamb, the next day it’d be a raging hormonal Vegeta, that’s Saiyen genes flying out of sync for you...I decided to deactivate and destroy her, it was too dangerous, and she wouldn’t learn our ways.” Bulma said sadly,
“You’re essentially a murderer...” Darcy seethed in her mind as she listened about her predecessors,
“The other few wasn’t much better, they each caused havoc, incinerated countless villages, town, cities before I was forced to issue destruction on each of them, somehow it was the DNA refusing to co-habitate,”
“So why not give up?” Darcy snapped coldly,
“I’ll get to that later, as I was saying, the closest to perfection was your latest predecessor 967 by this time the clones had grown with age, since they were biologically physically perfect, and was nearing 6 years old, slightly more mature, she accepted the Saiyen side harmoniously – almost too harmoniously, but there was something not right...I just couldn’t put my finger on it, by then I was almost ready to give up after I incinerated her-“
“You incinerated her? But she was fine?!” Darcy argued against this injustice,
“She wasn’t, she was too perfect, it was unnatural, almost like a living time bomb, I was so sure she was going to unleash her rage eventually, so I destroyed her for good measure, serves her right for being favoured above all-“ Bulma blurted out cattily,
“Why am I getting the sense you didn’t like her because she was too pretty or something.” Darcy muttered bitterly, and Bulma shifted uncomfortably under the scrutinizing glare, “It was wasn’t it?, over something petty, so you had her took care of “accidentally”. I’m really not surprised.” Darcy finished scathingly,
“Ahem, anyway...you were my last shell clone, by this time the original brain that I’d preserved was in risk of deteriorate, the fluid I created to hold it was ageing and it was too risking to change it, if that brain had been oxygen starved it would damage the chances of implanting it. So this time instead of a cloned mind, I placed that brain inside, knitted some synthetic tissue back where it was damaged, let it heal in a coma sorta stage etc etc, before letting you wake. You were my last attempt to save that girl and...in a way I succeeded.” Bulma finished smugly.
“You didn’t save that girl, I’m not her.” Darcy stated bitterly, she stared fury into the floor as she tightened her knuckles, “You just warped her entire body, re created her mind in the end for the drive of your sick, twisted ambition to create something that would satisfy your curiosity – okay at the beginning you may have wanted to save her. But then, as it progressed you just got determined to make this thing to what you decree as perfection – something that’s not better than you.” Darcy muttered out her voice breaking as she spoke,
“And in the end, it’s me.” She looked at her palms, where in the centre a tempting orange glow began to glow on and off, ”Wasn’t there ethical issues about human cloning?? Or did you not consider that and hid this secret from the world?”
“There was the one issue of should I save this girl and I did, the press never knew, why should they? All my plans, blueprints are under tight lips and locked.”
“So you had blueprints of me then, the “Android” of human clone and Saiyen mix...where did you get the Saiyen DNA?” Darcy forced herself to ask,
“That...I- err...In all honesty a future me came into play, just like five minutes before the crash, she transmitted a vial of Saiyen DNA, which I later found was Nappa’s.” Bulma mumbled sheepishly, “She told me what it was and told me to infuse it to save a girl’s life.”
“But you didn’t though, did you?” Darcy hissed aloud, her eyes narrowing viciously, “Ans from what time line?!”
“I honestly don’t know, but she said it was crucial, so you’re alive and standing right in front of me...”
“But I’ll say it again, I’m not that girl. I’m just material you created, and a brain you threw into it. The ONLY reason you saved me, is only because someone else told you to. And I’m expecting you to tell me she bribed you or something.”
“Well she mentioned it was a leap forward for genetic engineering...” Bulma squeaked out, and Darcy gave a low growl, the orange glow on her palm produced a minute ball of energy, that hovered in indecision. “Well you summed up yourself nicely today, this really is your true nature, I appreciate you raising me for whatever selfish intent Miss Bulma. So thank you for creating an abomination of life – you lied to me!”
“I never! I’ve told you the truth and I hoped you would live happier as a Saiyen – you knew I experimented on you!!” Bulma screeched as she eyed the ominious glow on Darcy’s palm,
“I thought you experimented to save my life!!!” “But I did!!” “NO - TURNS OUT I’M THE 6TH PROJECT FOR YOUR AMUSEMENT - I WANT TO BE A SAIYEN – OR A HUMAN – NOT SOME SHITTY ANDROID EXPERIMENT OF BOTH!!” Darcy shouted and fired a flaming energy ball straight towards her face...
---
A flash of something dashed into the room, the next second the energy ball fizzed and hissed into thick cloudy smoke, causing the fire sprinkling system to go off, Bulma’s medical bed released an automatic bubble shield designed for flames and heat, that encased her and the bed. Darcy glared menacingly through the smoke, her body tensing against the consistant pattering of icy water that bounced off her form and against her rival.
“Why’d you do it Vegeta?” she croaked out, the water cascading down her face where they mixed along with tears which ran down, her soft eyes wallowing in disbelief,
“I can’t let you...kill her,” Vegeta said and swallowed, “She must not die.” He replied bitterly, flexing his charred hand that was gently smouldering.
“Says you, who tried to kill her a week ago or something.” Darcy snarled angrily.
“I...know.” Vegeta said lamely as averted his eyes from Darcy,
“So why the change of heart Prince of all Saiyens??!” she queried snappily, her eyes had ceased to flow tears as she glared daggers at the well muscled man.
“It’s not because of this bitch, but it’s for that brat.” Vegeta said his eyes snapping up to meet Darcy’s readily,
“Brat?”
“Trunks.” He said,
“When did you enter the love of fatherhood?” Darcy quipped sharply,
“I don’t do fatherhood, but I was looking at him before...and that horrible child from the other timeline is his future self, it’s a shame he’s a dick.”
“So what’s that got to do with Bulma then?!” Darcy shrieked,
“A baby needs a mother, I’m no parent.” Vegeta growled as his Saiyen nature riled to this aggravating situation,
“So kidnap some woman to care for her.” She spat out,
“I’m a Prince, kidnapping is low.” Vegeta finished, “Just leave the witch alone, I’ll deal with her from now.” He said. Darcy sensed this challenge to her, him trying to assert his Saiyen authority over her.
“And who are you to say you can deal with her?! She’s going to die, I’ll make sure of it – JUST TRY AND STOP ME!”
“I know I can stop you.” Vegeta snarled out viciously, baring his teeth as he sensed this reckless change in Darcy,
“You can stop me, of course I know that. Mr Vegeta – whatever your surname is – Prince of all Saieyns, your word was law, every Saiyen listened right?! Then it’s a practical blessing to be a clone with a mind...you can’t save her.” Darcy said quietly and tightened her fists that erupted out in energy, “YOU CAN’T SAVE HER!!!” She roared an flared her energy high, the floor began to crumple and the bed shook violently.
Vegeta gave a glance at the situation of Bulma behind him, before assessing Darcy, “Your highly worked up about something aren’t you, tell me what.”
“Why should I tell you?!” Darcy snapped her pupils dilating to slits as her energy flickered to higher levels,
“As I don’t understand why being a biological android cross of Saiyen, human-“
“AAAARRGHH!!! STOP SAYING IT! STOP IT!!” Darcy shouted covering her ears, and shut her eyes tightly,
“STOP WHAT?!” Vegeta shouted grappling her wrists, he pulled them forcefully from her ears, “This is absolutely ridiculous!! – I can’t stand it! Why is it such a big deal if you are neither Saiyen nor human?! YOU’RE ALIVE, LIVING TISSUE – WHO CARES IF IT WAS GROWN FROM TANKS OR SOIL?!”
“My WHOLE life had been a lie – I was always a clone – a clone- grown from a tank – created to be experimented on – I’M NOT REAL!!” Darcy screamed in angst, throwing her wrists out of Vegeta’s hands,
“FACE THE TRUTH!! STUPID WOMAN – You’ve been living haven’t you?! You’ve eaten – you breathe – you make love – you walk – you talk – FOR STARS SAKE YOU CAN CRUSH HALF OF THIS PLANET WITH A SINGLE BLOW! YOU’RE REAL – YOUR LIFE – BODY – PERSONALITY- it’s no difference as a clone! You’re living tissue – there’s no problem at all!”“
“No! Now I know why I don’t dream – my blood is cold! When I bleed – my blood is cold! Don’t you get it?! Subtle things like that make sense now! They all constantly point out I’m false flesh – I can’t believe it though...all this time I’m an android...” Darcy said lowly, her eyes brimming as she struggled to come to terms with this new revolution.
“But I love you.” Vegeta stated blandly.
“Pfffft.” Darcy replied in stubbornness, as she folded her arms and turned firmly away. Her mind was heady with blind anger and realisation, “The Saiyen Prince likes an abomination...really. It’s not possible, it never was, and never will be...”
Vegeta stood there mentally stunned, his body shook with pain as his heart threatened to disintergrate and he roared, “DON’T THROW MY FUCKING WORDS BACK INTO MY FACE – IF I SAID IT THEN I MEAN IT –SO JUST ACCEPT IT!!”
“OH YEAH?! WELL WHAT IF I DON’T WANT IT!?” Darcy shot back in annoyance, the blood pounding in her ears as she struggled mentally to grasp the idea that Vegeta loved her...
“ISN’T IT WHAT YOU WANTED ALL ALONG? Somebody to be there for you...to hold you in their arms when you’re at your weakest? To love you?” Vegeta finished softly, he swallowed a few times and closed his eyes as Darcy looked away remaining silent, “I thought it was anyway.” He croaked out...
Darcy raised her eyes to look at Vegeta, her keen eyes spotted the tell tale glint of a forming tear despite the sprinklers still splashing water down...
