I'm so sorry its been so long since I last updated :( I just ran out of ideas. I'm still low on the idea front so the updates might still be slow in coming. Here's a long (ish?) update for you.

***Monday***
I sat at the counter in my kitchen, debating whether or not to go to school today. I didn’t want to after the rumors that would be floating around. And not only that, but I was still trying to sort through my thoughts and revelations from Friday night. My real memories felt like the fake ones and the fake ones more like the real ones.
However, I wasn’t going to get a choice. There was a knock on the door as I sat, zoning out, looking at the wall across from me. “Ana, I know your awake.” Zane called through the door.
“It’s open.” I called quietly, well aware he had heard me. The door knob twisted and the door opened. I shifted my glance to the vase of roses on the counter, changing my thoughts toward something else. I raised my fingers to touch the velvet, red petals.
“Do you like them?” Zane asked softly. I looked at him briefly and then back at the flowers nodding. I went to pick up the rose and pricked my finger on the thorn. I jerked my hand back and watched as a small pool of blood came from the prick.
Zane’s fingers wrapped around my wrist making me turn to him. He raised my finger to his lips. “Wha- but you’ll-” his lips covered the prick and I felt his tongue brush over it. I felt my cheeks heating up. He let go of my finger. I looked at my finger and where the prick had been was completely healed over.
Blinking a few times, I looked at him. “It’s another vampire thing.” he said. I nodded a little. “Now then, if I remember correctly, you have school.” he said. “Lets go.”
I groaned and looked away. “I’m not going.” I stated. “I’m not putting up with them today.”
Zane sighed. “You’ll have to eventually.” He pointed out.
“Eventually doesn’t have to be today.” it was quiet for a moment. My mind drifted to other memories as we discussed school and rumors.
“Then call in sick and we can go out instead.” he stated, amusement lacing his voice.
I glared at him but he just laughed at my expression. “Alright. I’m going.” I said getting my stuff.” He didn’t move until I came back with my bag. “Lets go.” he was still chuckling as we walked out the door.
We were quiet on the walk to school and then out of no where he asked, “Who do you think it was that left those roses in your locker?”
I glanced at him and then smirked a little. “You can read minds. Why don’t you tell me?” I responded.
He shook his head. “Funny.” he responded sarcastically. “I don’t unless necessary.” He said.
“Well then I guess this is a necessary time if you want to know.” I replied. Honestly, I didn’t have the first clue as to who it might have been. But that was alright. If the person intended to tell me, he would.
He sighed. “Fine then.” he said. I arched an eyebrow and glanced at him but said nothing. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. He was thinking.
It wasn’t an awkward silence that found us until we reached the school and people turned and looked at us, muttering behind their hands about what happened and what they thought was truth. I glanced at Zane again. “I’ll see you in class.” I said, walking away.
“Yeah, see you.” He mumbled.
I reached my locker and pressed my forehead against the metal. I was notorious for not dating. One rumor was ruining it all and honestly, if it had been about any other guy, I would have been pissed but this one I didn’t mind and I didn’t know why.
I shifted so that I was upright again and started to open my locker when Amy passed. She looked at me briefly, malice filling her gaze before she turned away from me and started talking to the girls she was with. Melanie, Larissa and Kristen. They were notorious sluts and seemed to rule the school because the guys wanted to be with them and a lot of the girls wanted to look like them. Larissa was the leader of the group and had just recruited a new girl to her ‘army.’ I felt anger well up in me at the sight. “It looks like I’ve found someone you hate as much as me.” Alex commented as he leaned against the locker next to mine.
I glared at him. “Possibly.” I replied and twisted the dial on my locker
“You know, we never did finish what we started Friday night.” He commented lightly.
I scowled. “You know that what you’re doing isn’t working, right?” I asked him angrily.
He leaned closer so that his lips almost grazed over my ear. “Of course I know my powers don’t influence you.” he said quietly so only I could hear. “I knew that when I first met you.”
I turned to look at him, backing away a step. “Here or the garden?” I responded.
He chuckled. “You really do remember.” he commented. “The garden.” I made a soft noise and went back to searching my locker for my books. “How does it feel Ana?” he asked as I struggled with one of my books.
I grunted slightly. “How does what feel?” I responded.
His hand covered mine and he pulled the book out with ease. “Why, being pursued by me of course.” he replied. “And then there is Zane. Tell me. There must be some thrill in it now that you know.”
I scowled at him. “I really don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said as I shut my locker and started to go to class.
He laughed. I slipped into my class and he followed. “But of course you do.” he retorted, laughter in his voice. “Zane and I are immortals. What interest could we really have in a mortal like yourself unless we are trying to pursue you. So tell me, how does it feel?” he asked again.
I turned and glared at him, having had my back to him until that point. “I don’t feel anything Alex. Now leave me alone.” I snapped. I wasn’t having a good start to my morning.
He leaned closer and my back was pressed against my desk. “But you will Ana.” he breathed softly. “Humans always do.” His eyes met mine and held my gaze. His hands were on either side of me and his body felt like it was encaging me. I felt trapped and it terrified me. He moved away. “That wasn’t the reaction I was looking for.” he said and sat down at his desk, his back to me.
I was going to snap at him but the bell rang and people started to file into the classroom. “Why do you insist on getting her angry Alex?” Zane asked, his voice cold toward Alex.
“I assure you it wasn’t intentional…this time.” He glanced at me as he said that and smirked. “It’s an interesting reaction though…do you always feel so terrified?” he asked.
Fear rippled through me for a moment. “Only around people you.” I lied.
He laughed. “I see. I’m sorry you feel that way.” he almost sounded sincere. “Well, sorry for myself that is. I can’t say I’m sorry for Zane though.” it then hit me how he interpreted what I had said.
“That isn’t what I meant.” I snapped back.
The teacher came in and began his ramblings about things I didn’t really care to listen to. Something about his personal life. I heard whispers going around the room and glances were constantly cast to the back corner where I sat. I knew what they were talking about and hated it.
