Is your dog barking constantly and driving you (or your neighbors) up the wall? A loud pet can cause disruptions in family life, produce problems with the neighbors and drive even the foremost patient of people insane after a while. If your pet is suffering from a barking issue that is making you nuts, here's how to prevent the constant barking and regain some peace and quiet in your life.
Putting a stop to a barking problem is not unlike any type of behavior you would like to cure your pet of. There are a variety of techniques that you'll use to curb the issue. Basic coaching methods will be used to control a barking dog and to show your pet to not bark out of control. Eventually your dog can be trained to respond to hand signals or voice commands that let them to realize it's time to stop. This approach takes time and regularity on your part however works for many pets and just about any variety of bothersome habits.

Today we are fortunate to have even more choices when it involves coaching your pet to not bark. Referred to as bark control collars, these devices activate when the dog barks alerting them to control this habit even when you are not home. Additionally to the basic and somewhat controversial static collars, you'll be able to select from collars that use sound or bursts of air (with or without citronella) to dampen barking.
What causes a dog to bark continuously, anyways? A dog will act out for a variety of different ordinary and perfectly natural reasons. They may bark to alert you of danger or to urge your attention. Some tend to stick with it out of boredom or excitement. While they don't do it just to annoy you, overzealous barking will be downright frustrating for a pet owner who simply needs a moment of peace. Luckily with a bit of coaching and time, you can successfully control this habit and regain your sanity.
