Big Time Rush :: 10
Sorry for the long wait. I've been busy for my singing interview (which is next month!) and with school. Thanks to motoxgirly91, melia335, Weasleygirl4637, x-sally-x, kitsunegirl1, and okami101 for messaging me! :DThe guys walked inside of the Palm Woods lobby all achy and sore. They all plopped down on the comfy chairs provided and sighed in pain. Their moment of relaxation was spoiled when the manager, [Mr.] Bitters, came over and slapped down his pointing stick on the table, causing a very loud whip-like sound. The voice shot up. “It’s after nine, boys…” he said with an evil smile on his face. Immediately, the four boys sat at their respected Nikki Coleman appeared on the screen, wearing sunglasses and her platinum blonde hair up in a ponytail, waving to the cameras and blowing kisses. The glass cracked from Tammie’s grip and smoothie spilled all over her lap and some on the floor. She was glaring at the screen.
Kendall rolled his eyes. “C’mon, guys…”
The four dragged their bodies all the way to the elevator, with a few moans and groans along the way. Upon arriving on their floor, they still had a long way to walk from the elevator doors to their own apartment door. Took them about five minutes because of their sore bodies. When they arrived, they first saw Katie on the couch, watching some TV.
“Hey, Katie. Where’s Mom?” Kendall asked as all four boys dropped their bags. James, Carlos, and Logan collapsed in the doorway.
“Looking for a job around town. She should be home in a few minutes.”
“Where’s our dinner then?” James complained. Katie rolled her eyes.
The sound of a blender shook them up. They glanced toward the kitchen to see Tammie blending a fruit smoothie together. She noticed their looks and smiled. “Uh, hey.”
“Wh-what’re you doing here?” Kendall asked as the other three boys jumped up to their feet.
“Your mom was gonna be home late, so she asked me to cook dinner?”
Carlos rushed up to the table counter. “Are you making your famous strawberry-banana smoothies!?” he asked excitedly.
“Uh, yeah.”
“What’s for dinner, anyways?” Logan asked.
“Mashed potatoes and gravy with mixed vegetables, a couple of biscuits, and fried chicken…”
spots at the dining table, having their silverware ready in their hands. Katie rolled her eyes, smiled, and joined them at the table.
After dinner, they all sat around the couch, smoothies in hand, and watched a couple of TV while chit-chatting.
“Tam, your smoothies make everything feel better!” Carlos said, sipping down his fourth cup.
“Slow your roll there, dude, otherwise you’re gonna have to go to the bathroom,” James teased.
“What? Noooo. That’s not-” Carlos stopped in mid-sentence upon realizing… “MAKE WAY!” He dashed off to the bathroom.
Everyone else laughed.
“Tammie, how come you really never stay in your apartment room?” Kendall asked.
She shrugged. “Eh, Dad’s always away on business and Mom works the afternoon to night shift at her work, so I don’t see her, except in the morning. Really, there’s no one there to be with.”
The sound of a toilet flush came and Carlos walked out. “Much better.”
“Did you wash your hands?” Tammie asked.
He stopped in his tracks. “Uhhh…”
She rolled her eyes and pointed to the sink. “Go.”
He pouted. “Yes, Mom.”
“Just ‘cause Kendall’s mom isn’t here, doesn’t mean you have to act like her,” Logan said.
She turned her head towards him. “Really now?” She gave him a look like, “do-you-really-want-mess-with-me?”
Logan shrunk in his seat while Carlos came back and sat down in his spot.
Katie nudged her older brother and whispered, “When’re you gonna ask out Tammie?”
“What!?” Kendall harshly whispered back.
“Oh, come on! You finally have good taste in a girl that I actually would appreciate to be my sister!”
“Katie…”
“Hey, just saying how it is. She’s the first person to really ever beat me in poker, she likes video games and hockey. She’s an amazing singer and you two are always at odds, despite your similar interests and tastes! DUDE! She’s like a perfect match!”
“Now you’re starting to sound like Camille… AND Jo…”
“Look! News on the music biz…” James spoke up and approached the TV closely.
“Down in front!” Tammie yelled and tossed a pillow at his head.
“My hair!”
“Aw, quit whining,” Carlos said. All six of them listened to what was going on. A few new celebrities had just come back from their movie premieres in Japan, an artist was rising up on the charts currently, and…
“…in other news, it seems that Nikki Coleman has come back from her hiatus and will come back to the show business. She will be returning to her old, private school, Arlington Academy (the school where Tamie goes), and will be working on her new album, which is scheduled to be released in the next two months or so…”
Tammie gripped on her glass as it started shaking. Kendall was the only who noticed and gave it a weird and confused look.
“She will be coming to L.A. in two days and will be staying at the local Palm Woods, home of the future famous,” the announcer said.
“Tammie…?” Kendall asked slowly.
“Nikki… Coleman… here…!?” she said slowly in an angry voice.
“Tam?” the four boys asked.
