She signed up today--Her username is EchoAlchemy, and she'll post her story on EvlynXSebastian whenever she can, since she's starting a Shugo Chara story =P i've noticed we have almost the same writing style too!! loool! but i'll need to help her with Evlyn's fancy wordings >&lArmelia sat in The Loft once again, deep in thought. It wasn’t like Ciel to confess his undying love, and it certainly wasn’t like him to go out of his way to do so. So, what exactly was he planning? There was no logical answer to this question that Armelia could find, and once again Ciel Phantomhive had left her stumped. Sighing softly, she lept from the great willow tree and made her way back to the Jade Manor, where she was greeted cheerfully by the butler, James.
Glaring up at him, she quickly stuck out her leg, kicking the man in his shin, making him double over.
"I don't understand." she hissed at him, "Why do I have to marry him so soon, and what the hell is he planning?" James coughed, looking up at her through his eyelashes and sleek black hair as he held his shin in pain.
"You must mean Monsieur Ciel Phantomhive." he grunted, his eyes kind but face still yet contorted with pain. She kicked him again.
"Of course I mean that manipulative bastard!! Who else would I be talking about?!" she shrieked, running passed the poor butler as she bolted across the fine marble floors and up the grand staircase, where she then ran head-on to her room. Bursting through the door, she snatched the hand of the woman who stood idle by the desk, staring out the window.
"I hate my life." Evlyn smiled slightly but otherwise did not react.
"Ma petite luciole, do you know what time of the day it is?" the woman spoke softly, her gaze still yet locked out at the horizon, where the sun was beginning to set.
"It is twilight, isn't it?" Evlyn nodded.
"The end of a day, yet the start of a new. Death to one, birth to another. I do not know yet how twilight affects me, it's mystery is one I cannot solve." Evlyn turned her gaze onto the small girl that stood clutching her hand.
"If you can't solve it by yourself, why not solve it with another? I mean, two heads are better than one, so..." Evlyn smiled down at Armelia, placing her hand gently on the smaller girls head.
"You're such a sweetheart, Ma petite luciole, you don't even know. I've noticed recently, however, that ever since the announcement of your engagement with Monsieur Phantomhive, you have been less... violent, I should say, or tempermental." Evlyn smiled teasingly at Armelia,
"Could this be an act of you making yourself worthy of the young master?" Armelia's face flushed, and she ripped Evlyn's hand off of her head.
"Don't be silly. I do not particularly care what Ciel thinks of me, nor being 'worthy' of him. Honestly, where do you get this rubbish?!" Evlyn laughed softly.
"You are correct, Armelia. I apologize for being so foolish to believe for one second that you cared for your future husband."
"I do care, Evlyn, don't play games. I just do not care in that way. Honestly, what goes through your mind?"
"You say 'honestly' a lot."
"Oh, shut up." sighing, Armelia threw herself onto her bed, staring at the ceiling of the room, tracing patterns inits midnight-sky painted glory with her eyes. Laughing once more, Evlyn walked to the wardrobe that stood to the side of the room. A few moments of silence passed as Evlyn chose a nightgown for Armelia, preparing for sleep.
"Armelia, aren't you going to dinner?" Armelia glanced at the older woman, her eyes dull.
"I'm not very hungry. Ciel made me lose my appetite with his little announcement earlier today." Evlyn smirked.
"Then I expect you to eat a full breakfast. I will not tolerate my young Mistress being low in health." As she said this, Evlyn walked back to Armelia, a white nightgown held carefully in her arms.
"Come, dear. It is time to prepare for another night."
"Another night, another end." Armelia murmured, glancing up at Evlyn's face as she did so.
"Another end, yet another beginning." Evlyn agreed, slipping the nightgown over Armelia's head.
