History: The Black family and the Baudelaire family have known each other for decades. Emma's mother grew up with the Baudelaire's father, and they were the best of friends. Once they both had grew up and had families of their own, their kids grew up knowing each other, and that's how Emma and the Baudelaire's became friends.
