Stubborn As Hell- Meeting Inu-Yasha #17

Shippou jumps up and faces his palm to the tentacle, 'FOXFIRE!!' A swirl of the aqua-blue flames shoot towards the tentacle and actually burns it off! You pull you wrist to your chest, and are in shock that it's bleeding severely. You grasp it just tight enough to contain the blood from spilling out. You feel very light headed and weak now. Inu-Yasha nods to Shippou, 'Not bad kid, but that's a pretty weak attack.' He growls, 'I'm still young!! Of course my power isn't nearly as great as my father's was!!' 'But it was strong enough to destroy one of Naraku's tentacles, it is impressive.' Miroku says, walking towards you all with Sango leaning on him. Inu-Yasha sees the blood dripping out from between your fingers, 'We have to get her to Kaede's village, before she looses too much blood.' Everyone nods and you all head to it right away. 'What have ye now Inu-Yasha..?' An old priestess with an eyepatch greets you. 'Spare me ya old hag, no funny bussiness. She's wounded, can you heal her?' She examines your pained look and sees the blood dripping to the ground from your wrist. 'Hmmm, follow me then.' She leads you to a small hut, and proceeds to heal your wound. 'I have never seen such injuries before, tell me Inu-Yasha, from where did she obtain such wounds?' 'Take a guess.' he responded with much malice in his voice. 'Naraku I see...' You wince as she puts an herb that stings horribley. 'Please try not to move child. 'Tis already a task to stop your blood from continuing to spill.' You try your best to cooperate, but the medicine stings so bad, it's worse than alcohol. Sango and Shippou comfort you, 'Be strong ___________, Kaede is almost done.' She finishes after bandaging your wrist up. You heave a long sigh of relief. 'Shippou.. that pelt, from your father.. I was curious...' He looked to you with his bright green eyes, 'Yeah?' 'How.. did your father end up like that..?' He frowned, 'There were two demons named Hiten and Maten, they were brothers. Not just any brothers though, demon brothers, they called themselves the Raiju Brothers because of their power over thunder and lightning. Both had shards of the Shikon jewel and were terrorizing many other tribes, including mine. My father was killed trying to protect our tribe and Maten had skinned him and used his pelt as a belt... I had planned to avenge my father's death, but Naraku got to them first. I overheard him say that the Raiju Brothers had completed their part of his plan and wanted his shards back, but the brothers were greedy and overconfident, and wouldn't give them back! Naraku didn't hesitate to slay them just as they were about to put up a fight...' You copy his frown, 'So that's why you're here.. you found out the Raiju Brothers killed your family because Naraku told them to...' He nodded, 'That demon is going to pay for what he did!!'
*cries* LIFE IS SO UNFAIR IN THE FUEDAL ERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They all stop abbruptly, Inu-Yasha's eyes widen, 'That scent...' Everyone speaks in union, 'Naraku!' You gasp and suddenly become nervous, you're off by yourself, and you still haven't changed back yet, you shutter as you feel that eerie chill again, 'I-Inuy-yasha..!' '_____________, move!!' Miroku yelled. You quickly run forward, but you're quickly jerked back by your wrist, 'Inuyasha!!' A feeling of a thousand needles pierce into the flesh around your wrist and you yelp in pain. You wince to your wrist and see a brown, stone textured tentacle coiled around it. You scream as it tightens and cuts off circulation, dragging you into the shadows. Inu-Yasha practically gallops to you, grabbing your other wrist, 'LET HER GO!!' Tears are cascading down your face as the tentacle tightens even more and more needles dig into you, practically yanking your hand off. Inu-Yasha sees your pain and yells to Sango, 'Tetsusaiga, now!!' She pulls a second sword from her sash and tosses it to Inu-Yasha, 'Think fast!!'
H-How did Naraku find me so fast?!
Hurry up, I hate pain!!!
*biting tentacle* YOU WILL RELEASE ME!!!! *chips tooth* owie... DAMN YOU!!!
*crying* Why do these things have to happen to ME?!
*trying to pull out of tentacle's grasp* Come on you stupid thing, LET ME GO!!

You take the Shikon jewel and hold it between your fingers, sighing as it softly glows and releases the sweet scent of strawberries and vanilla. Kaede gives it a curious look, 'Might I ask ye what that may be..?' Miroku answers for you, 'That would be the Shikon jewel, transformed.' 'Transformed..?! How on earth did that happen?' Miroku looks to you, his eyes asking if it were okay to tell her. You nod and he continues, 'Lady __________________ has just recently found out she is a living Shikon jewel, and the original Shikon jewel reacted her presence. And because of that.. Naraku is after her in order to obtain the power that resides in her.' She has a grim look on her face, 'Tell me child, what did it feel like when Naraku harmed you?' You twitch uneasily remembering how horrific that feeling was, 'It was pure pain.. I'll never be able to forget how much it hurt... It was as if he was stabbing me with needles, and just kept adding more and more...' 'Oh my,' she stood and started pacing. Inu-Yasha narrowed his eyes, 'Something up Kaede..?' 'I'm afraid Naraku may have already taken some of her power...' You put two and two together, that's why you feel so light headed and weak, 'He.. drained it right out of me..?' She nodded, 'Who knows how much stronger he has become from such a little amount... You hold much more power than the original Shikon jewel.'
Dammit Naraku.. stealing shit from me now eh, YOU WILL PAY!! *fire in eyes*

'We're being watched,' Miroku suddenly speaks. (If you fell asleep, him talking woke you up okay? Okay.) Inu-Yasha grabs his sword and rises, '__________________, stay close to me.' 'Right,' you say as you stand, holding Shippou close to you. Kirara stands and transforms, standing to your other side in a defencesive stance, growling. Sango is also up and she and Miroku finish the circle around you, getting their weapons ready. The moon dawns high in the star littered sky and the light beams down to shine on you like a spotlight. Sango shoots her gaze to your right and steps forward, throwing her boomarang, 'Hiraikotsu!!!' It spins its way into the darkness before hitting something and comes back to her. 'Damn! It deflected my hiraikotsu..!' 'Come on out Naraku, I can smell your vile stentch from here!!' Those damned tentacles come flying out towards you all, Inu-Yasha draws his Tetsusaiga and wind currents start swirling around the blade, 'Everyone get back!!' He leaps forward and slashes at the air, 'Kaze no kizu!!' The ground errupts with a series of waves darting right towards the tentacles, shredding them completely. You awe, 'Inuyasha, that was awesome!' 'Heh, ya ain't seen nothing yet.' The tentacles clumped back together and revived, lunging back at you. 'Why don't you show yourself Naraku?!' Miroku yells at the tentacles and pulls off the nenju around his right hand, 'Kazaana!!!' A high wind rises from a hole in his hand and sucks everything in front of it into his palm. Naraku is eventually drawn out, trying to resist the pull of the wind tunnel. Shippou is suddenly awake and calls out in a panic pointing wildly at the sky, 'Miroku watch out, it's a whole swarm of saimyosho!!' 'Damn!!' he pulls the beads back on and steps away, now pulling his staff in a defensive stance.
*growls* CURSE YOU NARAKU, YOU RUINED THAT ROMANTIC MOMENT!! *grabs stick* PREPARE TO DIE!!! (Me: Um.. just what do you expect to do with that..?) BEAT HIS SORRY RED ASS, WHAT ELSE?! (Me: Um, yeah.. okay...)
I KNEW IT!! I just knew something was gonna mess up that peaceful moment, nothing ever stays the same in this damn series!!! (Me: Isn't that a good thing..?)
Yes, now's our chance to own his ass!! Get 'em guys!! I'll eh.. cheer on the sidelines...

You both hear Shippou struggling, 'Lemme see, come on!!' You giggle hearing Miroku's excuse, 'One day when you're older Shippou, this is too graphic and complicated for you.' 'It is not, come on, I wanna see!!' You rise and walk over to your friends in *hiding* and lightly laugh, 'Miroku, Sango, Shippou, Kirara.. you guys can come out now.' They all look up to you surprised, Inu-Yasha looming behind you with his arms folded, his eye twitching in irritation, 'So, you guys evesdropping again eh..?' They all went into a group *eep!* and made a run for it as Inu-Yasha yowled in anger and chased after them, 'WHY CAN'T YOU EVER GIVE A GUY HIS PRIVACY?!' You smiled watching them from a safe distance. 'Inuyasha, please forgive us!' Sango cried, Kirara chimed in a helpless mew. Shippou was streaming tears of fear and panic as he ran, 'BWHAAAAAAAAAA!! ________________, HELP!!!!' Miroku was just running as fast as he could, Inu-Yasha was waving his arms over his head wildly while growling, 'GET BACK HERE!!'
*rolling on floor laughing*
*sigh* Reminds me kindda of my family back home... Such chaos...

'Inuyasha, you should get ______________ to a safe area for a while, Naraku is bound to come after her now that he has her essance.' He nods and takes your hand, 'Come on, I'll take you to my forest, you remember where that clearing is, right?' You think back and blush, 'Uh huh...' Miroku and Sango rise as well, 'We'll come with you, you never know.' Sango grabs her boomarang and Shippou hops onto your shoulder, 'We're all going with you! We'll protect you no matter what!!' You smile and nod, you can't believe you have such amazing friends. You notice Inu-Yasha's smile. Yeah, that's right, SMILE. Then these words echo in your mind, 'I'm the only one who can protect you!' Everyone but Kaede exits the hut, she puts in one last thought, 'Be careful, all of you!' You all walked into Inu-Yasha's forest, evening was just setting in, so the light was marigold as it peeked through the trees and brought the forest floor to life. When you all reached the clearing, Miroku and Sango set up a fire. You sat against the same tree from that very day you first met Inuyasha with Shippou lying on you asleep. You petted his head and smiled listening to him sleeping soundly, 'He's like--' 'A son?' You were surprised hearing Inu-Yasha's voice. He came and sat beside you, but didn't look at you, 'Do.. you want one?' 'W-Want one what..?' 'Don't be stupid!! You know what I'm talking about...' You blush bright red, 'Geh!! Well eh, I uh, er what I mean is, um oh, erk...' You see a smirk form on his lips and he finally looks to you, 'I was just kidding ____________, don't get so flustered up over nothing.' You see Sango and Miroku giggling over your reaction. 'You guys planned this didn't you!?' They all laughed, 'You guys are awful!!' 'Keep your head on ____________, we didn't plan anything!' Miroku said between snickers. Shippou stirred and looked up to you, 'Huh.. what's with all the noise..?' You pat his soft, orange hair, 'Nothing Shippou, the others were just being mean.' He nods and curls up in your lap, Kirara joining him to your side. 'I'm like one big pillow aren't I..?' you whisper so as not to disturb the little ones. 'You're just so warm and soft, I know that for a fact...' you hear Inu-Yasha whisper to your ears only. Sango and Miroku had drifted off into sleep, so you put your hand over Inu-Yasha's. 'Inuyasha..?' 'Yeah, what is it?' You smile to yourself and then look to him, 'Thank you, for protecting me.' He actually smiled again and put his arm around your shoulders, 'Like I said, I'm the only one who can protect you.' You nod, 'I know.. and.. well, I just wanted to thank you for it.' He leans his head onto yours and pulls you closer to him. With Shippou sleeping peacefully on your lap and Inu-Yasha close by, you can't help but feel safe, warm, happy, and like a family.
I'm actually.. happy for once...
I wish this moment would last forever...
Something is bound to ruin this moment any second now... I should enjoy it while it lasts

Inu-Yasha grabs the Tetsusaiga and Kirara transforms, Sango hops on and they fly towards where the tentacle is coming from. Before Inu-Yasha can unsheath his sword, he's hit back by another tentacle, and soon after, Sango and Kirara come flying back as well. Naraku's baboon cloak comes floating out of the shadows, a series of tentacles flailing randomly underneath him, 'Inu-Yasha.. we meet again.' 'Naraku you bastard!!' He tries to get up but his body is shaking uncontrolabley. 'Don't even bother Inuyasha, one touch of my tentacles is of equal damage to as if Miroku would suck one of my saimyosho...' 'So that's what this stinging feeling is..?' you ask weakly. He chuckles, 'Yes my dear...' Shippou leaps from Miroku's shoulder and pulls the long furry cape he was carrying, 'You let ___________ go!!' Naraku goes in to whip little Shippou, but the furry cloak shields him. You gasp, 'Shippou, get back, he'll kill you!!' He hops over the tentacle, 'This is the fur of my father, he'll always protect me!!' He's so close to you, you reach out your free hand to grab his tiny one. Naraku's baboon cloak came between you two and he head butted Shippou back. 'Shippou!!' you yelled as he hit a tree with a sickening thud. His empty eyes turn to face towards you, 'I believe you have something of mine...' The Shikon Jewel glows bright red, 'It's not yours..!' More of his tentacles coil around you, but they don't touch you, 'Is this an arguement you're confident you'll win my dear..?'
You bet your red ass I am!!!!!! *glare*

TO BE CONTINUED!!! Haha.. yeah, stopping there, I want the next one to be action packed!! So, do ya think this one was worth the wait? I hope so, took me a while to get the idea for it.. I was at a really bad writers block, and then I saw the episode Demon Eye from Trigun, and got all inspired with a bunch of ideas. Well, you're probably tired of me blabbing, so I'll shut up now.

'Bastard, don't you dare touch her!!!' Inu-Yasha comes flying down and slashes Naraku's head off, or so it looked. The tentacles retracted from you and slunk back into the shadows, the one around your wrist however, stayed. Inu-Yasha's breathing was heavily labored, 'Are you okay..?' You look at him worried, 'Inuyasha.. you're.. you're poisoned aren't you..? Everyone but Miroku...' Miroku is helping Sango and Kirara, and Shippou comes limping to you, '_____________, the tentacle is still on you...' You pet his head, 'It's okay, it's not cutting off my circulation anymore...' you lie. You try to contain the sounds of pain from escaping your throat as the tentacle proceeds to add even more needles. Shippou holds up his father's fur, 'Father, please give me the strength to help my freinds..!' You frown, 'Shippou, it's just fur.. your father is.. is dead, he can't do much of anything right now...' 'No! You're wrong, he protected me from the tentacles before, his spirit still lives in this fur!' As if on cue, the fur glows a bright blue and engulfs little Shippou in flames, you and Inu-Yasha gaze at him in wonder. You can see the poison leaving his body and disintigrate among the flames. His eyes tear up as the flames fly to Sango, Kirara, Inu-Yasha and yourself, killing the venom inside you all. At last the fire all goes into his little hands, making them glow a light aqua blue before disappearing along with the fur. 'Thank you Father..!'
Yeah, this is all nice and happy.. but in case no one noticed.. THE TENTACLE IS STILL ON ME!!
