I was working late again. I hated my job. I just moved here to Orem, Utah from Mexico. The only job I could get right now was as a waitress at a small restaurant. A group of four boys came in and sat at a table. I got four glasses of water and some menus and headed to the table. "My name is Angie, I will be your server tonight. How are you boys tonight?" I asked walking up to the table. I noticed these boys looked familiar. "Oh damn, they are Jeph, Quinn, Bert, and Dan from The Used" I thought to myself. I didn't freak out because I knew they were people too. But I couldn't help but be a little excited. They are my favorite band. I couldn't help but notice Jeph looking at me a little differently. "Good, you??" they all asked me. "I'm good, what can I get you to drink??" I asked them. All wanted soda besides Jeph, he asked for green tea. No surpise to me. I brought them their drinks and took their orders. They finished, paid and left.
*AFTER WORK*
FINALLY!! closing time. I finished up my cleaning and locked up. I was walking to my rental car when I heard footsteps walking towards me. I turned around and saw it was Jeph. "You are really pretty you know" he told me. "Uh, thanks." I told him. I was shocked he would say that to me. "Want to go to the park and swing??" He asked me. "Sure, get in." I told him, pointing to my car. We got in and I drove to the park. We went and sat on the swings and talked for a few hours, just laughing and telling jokes. I really liked him.
We went to the playground section of the park and started playing tag. I was having so much fun until I tripped and fell. Jeph came running over to me to see if it was okay. I pulled up my pant leg and saw my knee was bleeding. It really hurt. I swore a few times at my stupidity. Jeph picked me up and carried me to the bathrooms. He cleaned my cut and I felt dumb. After he cleaned my knee, I noticed him staring at my face. I couldn't help but feel self concious. Why would he choose someone like me?? All those thoughts disappeared when he leaned in and kissed me. "I really like you Angie. I hope you like me too." He told me looking into my eyes. "I do..." I said blushing. I knew this was going to lead to something big someday.
