Ed one shot request for KITTYxxxCATTYxxxGIRLxxx
Name: Vail Siver
Age: 16 (Ed is 16 too)
Personality: Happy person, Jokester, Outgoing, Lazy, doesn’t get mad often, and Clumsy
Past: Her parents died in crash long ago. She has been living with her best friend Hona. She learned alchemy, but uses it for strange things like to play pranks on Roy.
Looks: Has dark brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on her arm from fighting Lust. She usually wears dark clothing and won’t wear dresses or skirts
Vail hid carefully behind Roy’s desk. He would be coming in soon and she would have to strike at just the right moment. Her hands were poised at the ready, the alchemy circle already centered under his desk. She heard talking outside the door and got ready.
“Just finish the papers and set them on my desk Havoc.” She heard Roy call from the door. It was time. She placed her hand on the alchemy circle and there was a puff of smoke. Roy was coughing as she slipped out of the room. Just wait until he saw himself in a mirror. It was going to be hilarious.
“VAIL!!!!!!” She squeaked and ran down the hall in triumph. It was a simple alchemy technique that just happened to turn Roy’s hair a vivid shade of hot pink. Her long ebony hair flowed out behind her as she ran down the halls to escape Roy. He was hot on her trail. She turned a corner without looking and slammed into something hard and solid.
“What are you doing Vail?” It was Alphonse Elric that spoke, his voice filled with curiousity.
“Hide me Al! Roy is after my blood!” She giggled. Al opened up his chest plate and let Vail climb in. He closed up his chest just as Roy skidded to a halt around the corner.
“Alphonse! Did you see where the little brat went?” Roy asked. Vail peaked out and had to hold in her giggles seeing that Roy’s eyebrows had also been tainted by the hot pink stain. Al chuckled and pointed down the hall. Roy nodded and disappeared quickly from sight. Once they were sure he was gone, Vail climbed out of Al and started to laugh like crazy. Al joined in. Vail was rolling on the floor holding her stomach as Edward came around the corner, an amused look on his face.
“So you are the one who dyed Mustang’s hair pink huh?” He chuckled as Vail finally caught her breath. She nodded since there wasn’t enough breath left in her to actually form a sentence.
“Nice one!” Ed started laughing too, cupping his hand on Vail’s shoulder. She felt her skin heat up where his fingers touched. For some reason, Ed always gave her this feeling. Al smiled knowingly and cleared his throat.
“Well, I’m going to go see if I can distract Roy. Why don’t you two go to the library since Ed needed to look up some stuff anyway? See ya!” Al clanked down the hall before either of them could protest.
“Well, shall we?” Ed held out his arm. Vail giggled, her face beginning to heat up as she linked arms with him.
“Lead the way Ed!” She smiled as they began walking down the hall. Vail made sure to check that the coast was clear before running into the library. Once Ed had entered as well, she locked the door and let out a sigh of relief. Now to just let Roy cool down.
“So what was it that Al said you needed to look for?” A slight pink tinged Ed’s cheeks as he looked away from me.
“U-um, nothing really important. I’ll find it pretty easily.” Vail raised an eyebrow. Most of the stuff Al and Ed dabbled in was associated with the philosophers stone, which was rather hard to find and important.
“Okay, I’ll just keep you company then.” Vail smiled, following Ed into the farther reaches of the small library. There were a lot of spare parchment bits here and there along with bundles. Each was labeled with a date and section number. Ed marched to the very back and walked to the ladder at the end. He began to climb while Vail stood at the bottom, making sure the ladder stayed steady.
“So, how is life at Hona’s?” Ed asked her as he riffled through some papers.
“It’s alright, she’s out with her boyfriend today I think.” Vail loved living with her best friend. It was like a constant sleepover. Since Hona had gotten a boyfriend however, Vail felt a little left out. Hona had tried to hook Vail up with one of her boyfriend’ s buddies, but none of them were Vail’s type. In truth, she really liked Edward. He seemed to only like her as a friend, so she never pushed the matter. Having Ed as a friend was better than not having him at all.
“Oh, what about you then?” He asked her, shuffling through some more papers.
“What do you mean?” Even from below Vail could see the red hue of Ed’s cheeks as he tried to concentrate on the papers in front of him.
“I mean, do you have a boyfriend?” He asked curiously.
Vail blushed and slowly looked down at her feet. She shook her head, but answered his question in case he wasn’t looking at her.
“No, Hona has been trying to set me up, but all those guys weren’t my type.” She blushed. Why was this conversation happening with Edward Elric of all people?
“Well…What is your type?” His voice was a little quieter.
“Um…kind, maybe a little silly sometimes, an alchemist, serious when he needs to be, you know, that kind of stuff.” Vail wasn’t usually this shy, but Ed tended to bring out this side of her.
“Oh, cool.” Ed replaced the papers and started looking for some new ones. It was then that Vail noticed he had shuffled through all the papers on the top shelf. All of them didn’t even seem to be related. He was faking looking for something! But why?
“Ed, you do know that none of these subjects are related right?” Ed stiffened and Vail grinned.
“So? Who said I was only looking for one thing?” He snapped defensively. Vail giggled and climbed up the ladder to meet him. She was a little shorter than him as she stood a few rungs down on the ladder. He seemed to get a little flustered as she did this and looked away.
“Come on now Ed, you can tell me what you are really looking for.” She grinned up at him. His piercing yellow eyes finally rested upon Vail’s brown ones. He stepped down about two rungs and gulped. Then he looked carefully at her.
“I was looking for a way to tell you…” He huffed a bit, frustrated that he couldn’t just come out and say it. His gaze changed around as he thought of a way to just tell her. Instead, he leaned down and pressed his lips firmly against hers. Vail’s eyes went wide as he did so. It didn’t take long for her to give into the kiss. He was a little inexperienced, but the kiss was gentle and questioning. He pulled back with a huge blush on his face. Vail giggled and hugged the part of him she could easily reach.
“I like you too silly.”
