OK so you've decided where you want to go but have you booked your honeymoon? Do you even know where you are going or is it a complete surprise? There is so much to worry about when it comes to planning a wedding that you don't really have time to worry about what to take on your honeymoon. Well never fear because we have thought of it all for you! This article has been written for you to follow and make sure that you will never be unprepared on your honeymoon.
If you know where you are going on honeymoon, as most modern brides do (long have the days gone when your groom would book and plan the honeymoon) then you will have an idea of what type of clothes to take with you. If you know what sort of resort it is or what type of activities you are doing then you will know roughly what to pack. But what about the rest of it? What about those spontaneous moments when you decide to do something completely outrageous that you are unprepared for? Well luckily we are here to help you pack exactly what you need for any (well most) occasions.
The first thing to remember is that you should keep your luggage light. Nothing says romance killer like a slipped disc from one too many pairs of packed shoes. Pick a suitcase thats light and then be selective about your clothes. Think about what you can buy out there and what outfits you can match up with others (for example a black dress with different jackets/pashminas/scarves). This will save room and keep your luggage light. Don't' forget that everyone will expect presents so leave some room for gifts to take home and mementos of your special holiday.
No holiday is complete without a toiletry and medicine bag. All your shower creams, gels, shaving foam, lotions, toothpastes/brushes and sun creams should be put in one bag. The medicines should be put in another and include things like plasters, pain killers, diarrhea tablets, anti sickness tablets and antiseptic wipes. Insect repellent is essential for a beach holiday and after sun should also be packed. Once you have all of that then you can add in the little extras that make your holiday such as the music players, books, crosswords and playing cards. Don't forget the pens because this is the one thing you are most likely to want and can't find!
The final things to pack are all of your travel documents and your money. Do a last minute check and see if you have your tickets, your passports and your hotel reservations. If you don't have these then you don't have a honeymoon so if there is one thing you forget, don't let it be these! If there is anything you forget, don't worry. Unless its one of your travel documents then you can always buy it when you get there and the hotels usually have really good staff who will be able to help you too. Enjoy your honeymoon!
