Inu-Yasha takes a step towards you, but another blast of energy shoots in front of him and again you yell at him to stay away. He grits his teeth and runs to you, avoiding the erruptions coming from the ground. He stabs his Tetsusaiga into the ground beside you and slides around to your front, grasping your face firmly, but gentley in his shaking hands, ''I won't let you fight this alone ____________!! I refuse!'' You're gasping for breath, his touch seemed to worsen the pain and your spine completely cracked inward and your shoulderblades popped out; a pair of black bat wings emerging from your back. They dripped with your blood, and you were wailing from the burning sensation. Collapsing into Inu-Yasha, you cling tightly to his kimono, tears simpley cascading down your cheeks, onto his hands, ''Inuyasha, please, get away, I.. I don't want to you to get h-hurt!!''
He hugs you around the neck, ''I don't care! I won't abandon you, I promised that I would protect you no matter what, even if it is against yourself!!''
''Inu.. ya.. sha...'' your voice trails off. Your eye colors blur between black and gold. Your muscles completely relax and your mind begins to shut down. Scenes of you and Inu-Yasha play one after another.
Flashback
You're lying on your back at the edge of a sparkling stream, hands behind your head. Two butterflies pass before your eyes making you sit up and watch them flutter together. ''How pretty,'' you sigh. Inu-Yasha is watching you from a tree a few feet behind you, smirking just slightly. He watches you chase the butterflies, ''It's amazing how you lead others on to believe you're so innocent.'' You stop in your place and gaze up to him, ''Lead? Hey, what's that suppose to mean..?'' He jumps down and puts an arm around your shoulders, ''I'm just kidding, don't get so worked up over nothing.'' He sweetly kisses your nose, causing you to blush, ''I-Inuyasha.. why so affectionate today..?''
He takes your hand into his and snakes his other arm around to your back, lowering you down on your back, ''Inuyasha.. what are do--'' He steals a kiss from you, nuzzling your nose afterwards. ''Inuyasha.. come on, tell me what's up!'' you giggle. His eyes shimmer and a childish grin spreads on his face, ''What, I can't treat you as a man should treat his woman..?'' You push him off gentley, ''Inuyasha.. I know you, there's some hidden motive someplace in all this, now tell me,'' you try to sound serious but are too happy, so it ends up sounding more of a tease.
He puts a hand to your cheek and kisses you in a rather strange way. It felt as if a warm flow of energy was circulating between your lips, you felt so at peace. When he drew back, he laid on top of you, as if wanting to keep your body warm. He whispered into your ear, ''____________, remember how that felt... Remember the feeling of my lips on yours. Know that no one else can kiss you like I can.. no one can have feelings for you like I do... If anyone else ever dares to lay hands on you, remember that feeling, and ask yourself which felt more right, which was better...''
''You're.. referring to when I wanted to forget how Koga kissed me... Aren't you..?''
''..Yes.. don't forget... You're mine, and I'm yours... Only I can protect you.. and I swear.. I promise to always do just that.''
End of flashback

You roll off and stand, ''S-Sorry...'' Inu-Yasha's eye twitches in irritation seeing you do that for his half brother.
''Hey ____________, how 'bout you quit flirting and you start focusing on this fight?!''
Your cheeks heat up, ''I'm not flirting okay, I just didn't want him to get hurt, we do need his help!''
**But how are we suppose to beat him..? If I try to help everyone by using the jewel's power, Naraku gets that power too..**
You feel your side beginning to heat up again and gasp, ''You're tapping into the jewel inside me by using the shards you have!!''
''You finally understand... Well done.'' Naraku says with a smirk.
''H-How dare you use me like that!!'' You scream, balling up your fists. Sango holds her hiraikotsu in front of you, ''__________, calm yourself. Don't let him get to you, we need a plan, we can't go into this swinging out attacks wildly like--''
Inu-Yasha charges at Naraku howling as wind currents swirl around his blade.
''Inuyasha, don't!!'' Sango yells to him. But it's too late, he excuted his Kaze no Kizu. The yellow waves of demonic energy make their way to Naraku's cocky smile. Your vision blurs suddenly, they water and sting as an image forms before them. You see Naraku slowly raise his hands and reflect Inu-Yasha's Kaze no Kizu right back at him! Your head is throbbing but your vision quickly returns. **Vision.. that's what it was! Two can play at this game.. if Naraku can tap into me, I can sure as hell do it to him too!!** You're about to use the jewel to boost your speed to knock Inu-Yasha out of the way, but quickly hesistate remembering you would only help Naraku as well.
Damn!! I thought I had a good plan for a second...
This is hopeless, just as I think I'm gonna get somewhere, I fall before I even take a step!

Inu-Yasha takes your hand, ''Don't speak, focus on fighting off that demon in you!''
Naraku chuckles, ''Don't waste your breath on her Inuyasha... She's as good as dead. That inner demon is eating her human side.. soon it shall devoure her heart.. forever erasing you from her memory...'' he then laughs again as a bolt of lightning strikes behind him.
Your sight is beginning to distort and it looks as if someone just put drops of red food coloring into your eyes. Inu-Yasha's face is fading away, but you feel his grip on your hand tighten.
''_____________!! Wait, what promise, what did you mean by that?! _______________!! Stay with me, wake up!! _________________!!''
You slip into unconsiousness, seeing your body free falling into black space. Purple orbs of light pass by as you continue to fall. **Inuyasha.. Sango.. Kirara.. Shippou.. Sesshoumaru.. Miroku.. I can't.. I can't see any of you... Where are you all..?** A scene of yourself in 3/4 demon form flashes into your mind and you're slashing away like a maniac towards Naraku. He's covered in bleeding gashes, but with an arrogant smile. ''Good ______________, let loose your inner demon further... Then I shall take over your mind.. my little puppet.'' He leaps away and you snarl at the sky, lightning striking the ground around you. **No.. no.. no!! I can't.. I can't allow Naraku to get what he wants!** Inu-Yasha grabs your wrist, ''Snap out of it __________!!'' You uppercut him with your elbow and pounce onto him once he hits the dirt. You swipe your claws at his face, bloody streaks were all you saw in front of your eyes. **INUYASHAAAAAAAA!!** He kicks you off, a few cuts on his cheek. **No.. Inuyasha.. get away, please!! I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU!!** You lunge at him and pierce your claws right through his stomach, he held your wrist tightly, gagging and coughing up blood. **NO!! INUYASHAAAAAA!! My promise, my promise!!** You saw that raging fire once again, the blue orb exspanding in a huge burst of sudden energy. It swallowed up the fire, and you forced your eyes open, seeing Inu-Yasha gasping for breath, your hand still lodged right through him.
*gasp* N-No.. so that wasn't a dream.. it's what I was seeing..!
I-I'm so sorry Inuyasha... *tries to pull arm out* Inuyasha: *coughs up more blood* Aaagh!! (Me: Not a good idea) Eep!! *stops* What do I do?!
I'm.. back? *half smile* Inuyasha! *notices blood* ACK!!
*frozen* I-Inuyasha!! *stares at arm stuck in/through his stomach* Ohmigosh.. w-what have I done?!
The glow shines brighter and you make a choking noise due to the rising heat within you. ''It.. burns...'' you breathe out. You yank your hands away from your side as steam rose from your palms. You winced in horror and disgust at your burnt hands, still smoking a bit.
''_____________, are you okay?!'' Sango quickly shouts to you, noticing your pained expression. The glow intenses, you feel as if lava is bubbling in place of your flowing blood and collapse to the floor screaming, ''Stop!! Please, stop!!''
''Hurts.. doesn't it my little puppet..?'' Naraku teases. Tears run from the corners of your eyes, the burning sensation becoming unbarible, as if you were lying on a frying pan covered with oil. Inu-Yasha rushed Naraku and slammed his Tetsusaiga into Naraku's figure. As predicted, he missed and ended up making a crater instead, ''Leave her alone!'' The heat subsided then, and you shook yourself to stand up.
''What.. was that..?'' You stared at your side, just a second ago it was glowing with the brilliant shine of the Shikon Jewel, now nothing. What was going on, what had caused that? Could it have been Naraku? If so, how?
''Sango, look out!!'' Miroku yelled to her. She turned her head just in time to block a sudden strike from Naraku with her hiraikotsu, but was knocked off balance by such force and was sent flying into Miroku. Sesshoumaru swifty made his way to face Naraku with his Tokjin already raised. They clashed in a draw and flew back, Tokjin vibrating in his hand and making some strange, high pitched noise.
''It's like Tokjin is.. crying in pain.'' Shippou deduces while poking his head out from his hiding spot. You can see Tokjin's aura pulsing in uneven waves, it can't take much more abuse. Sesshoumaru stares at his beloved killer of a sword with as much concern as he ever has, ''Tokjin.. are you in pain..?'' You inform him quickly, ''Lord Sesshoumaru, your sword.. if it takes anymore hits like that, it's going to break!'' He shoots you a quick glance, ''I am well aware of that, ___________.''

I can use my own power instead of the original's and block him out!** You draw in a sharp breath, closing off the Shikon Jewel's energy flow to everyone, including yourself and search for your own special power source. You hear a series of things clicking in your mind and your eyes flash bright white, like a car's high beams. With a sudden jolt electrifying your whole body, you're at Inu-Yasha's side and slice the air with a diagnal slash, just as Naraku reflected his Kaze no Kizu. You slide back a bit by the force of his wind scar, but you feel Inu-Yasha's hands on your shoulders, helping you hold your ground. The wind scar cancels itself out after a few seconds and Naraku looks to you with an amused expression.
''You've shut me out.. how clever you are.''
''You only had a connection with the original Shikon no Tama.. not me.''
''What are you two talking about?'' Inu-Yasha whispers into your ear.
''I figured, because Naraku has shards of the Shikon Jewel, he would have access to the jewel in me.. but then I also realized I could access parts of him too, I got his entire strategy up in here,'' you tap your temples lightly and smirk. Naraku's smile disappears as you continued. ''Then I remembered, I'm a living Shikon Jewel, which, as I said, he has no connection to, so I figured I could use my own power as a jewel to help instead.''
You spread your arms apart, orbs of light gathering in each palm, ''You've abused the power of the Shikon no Tama enough Naraku, now prepare yourself to experience the power of a living Shikon no Tama!!'' You slammed your wrists together and the orbs of energy fused into one another and fired themselves at Naraku with sound breaking speed. He winced in discomfort and bounded backwards, drawing a katana and blocking the energy. The ball of energy still pressed hard against the blade though, it began to crack the steel. Naraku slashed his katana upwards and rerouted the energy's path up into the air where it exploded witha deafening boom. Everyone gasped in awe seeing such power, you stood with a determined expression, fists clutched so tightly, your knuckles turned white. Your eyes blurred and blanked out into a milky white. You felt your canines sharpening in you mouth and glared them at Naraku with a terrifying snarl. The bones in your hands cracked out loud as they became more claw-like.
Inu-Yasha made a quiet gasp and he took a step away from you, ''She's.. she's becoming more of a youkai...'' Sesshoumaru seemed to stare at you with a hint of surprise hidden behind those expressionless eyes of his. Sango and Miroku drew away from you as well sensing such an impossible thing happening. Kirara and Shippou shook with uncertainy. **W-What's going on.. why am I changing again..? I feel so numb..**
Laughter forced you to look up to Naraku whose arrogant smile returned, ''You can't handle.. your own power. Fool, did you really believe you could control such an immense power?!'' **No!! I have to keep consious.. I have to maintain control.. I can't let my demonic side run wild with the power equal to the Shikon jewel!!**

You drop to a knee holding your head, ''Dammit...'' Inu-Yasha slowly approaches you, ''___________, are you--'' A blast of energy shoots up from the ground in front of him, ''DON'T COME NEAR ME!!'' Your eyes return from being blank, but your irises keeps changing colors.
The sky above darkens to a depressing grey and storm clouds begin to gather. The booming sounds of thunder reach your ears and streaks of white lightning claw themselves over the now darkened sky.
''This is a baaaaad omen,'' Miroku says, just a little too loud. He holds his staff upright and stares at the void on his palm sighing. The rings on his staff jingle, getting Inu-Yasha's attention. You were too caught up with yourself to notice anything, let alone hear anything, there was a loud ringing in your head, blocking almost all sound.
''Inuyasha.. if bad turns to worst,'' he clutched his fist, the prayer beads clattering, ''I may have to suck her in.''
''What, you can't!! She can maintain control, have some faith in her monk!!''
Sesshoumaru punches him right across the cheek. He stares baffled at his half brother's action.
''Idiot. Will alone will not save her from her inner demon. If she is to lose all control.. who knows what she could do with the power of two Shikon Jewels. She could easily destroy us as well as anything else with no remorse.. even you.''
Inu-Yasha's eyes wince in pain, ''No.. we can't... We can't just do that to her!! There has to be another way, I know she's strong enough!''
Their arguement is interrupted by your loud scream and Naraku's laughter. Your ears just shot up another foot taller and your tail as well. Inside you're desperately trying to contain the power you awakened. In your mind you see an orb of fire, blazing far out of control, but another orb of blue light is trying to contain it within its sphere, it's like a battle between the two forces, and you, the blue, is starting to lose. Your clothes begin to tear as your bones crack out of alinement, rearranging your body structure.
''What a pity, I was hoping to take both powers from each jewel as the vessel was still.. alive.'' Naraku throws his head back laughing at your pain.
**While I'm still alive?! What's that suppose to mean, I thought I was only going to be possessed or something!!**
