Review of Medela Breast Pump

We rarely even mention the term breast pumps at the family's dining table, but actually we should. A lot of the women I know have taken to feeding formula to their kids instead of breast milk because breast pumps can be painful. I'll tell you a little story - I was pregnant with my first born and had major problems with my breast pump. It worked terribly for me, but since I don't like to criticise, I will not mention its name.

But the fact that I discovered a great working breast pump eventually is the real good part of this story. I bought the Medela Breast Pump from Amazon's website, though I later realized that elsewhere it is even cheaper than $300. The first noticeable feature of the Medela pump is its design, which seems to have been done unusually thoughtfully. Whether you're used to using a bag or not, Medela breast pumps come in quite a range, most of which are in 3 different bag styles.
For me the backpack was ideal especially since we go out walking a lot, but others may want to pick one from the alternate styles they offer. The large variety of breast pumps out there was confusing me, but its online reviews I chanced upon while researching for pumps, affirmed that it should be the pump to try.
Even the reviews for the top-of-the-line pumps were not as great as that of medela breast pump. The features to particularly look out for, when deciding on a breast pump are:

1. Price - you should be able to buy a great electronic breast pump at $300, but if that is beyond what you can afford, a manual pump would be an option. 1. Although, searching through discount sales may just turn up an electronic pump within the budget.

2. Material quality - Since a breast pump is meant to be a one-time investment, it is important to research which pump would be durable. Online reviews could be very helpful in establishing that.
3. User-friendly - Using a breast pump can be challenging, so it is important to choose one that will simplify the task of pumping milk.
