October Children [Chapter 6]

Now that I finally have my Soul Weapon I feel like I've done something for the team now. But when the village saw what we've done to the temple while in the process of killing the Yaogurai they got angry and kick us out. it was probably time why kept on moving ahead anyways. So we're still on our way to the Mountain and we don't seem that far as i thought we were. we're starting to come close.

Well the mood around the four of us has seemed pretty happy lately. I keep getting comments from them like "It's amazing how far you've come!" or "Your weapon's so kick ass!" and "Congratulations on how far you've come." That seems to be all they can start a conversation with.

"Wait when you guys finished off that Yaogurai when i didn't have my Soul Weapon your weapons didn't glow blue like mine. Why is that?" I asked

"Well you're the chosen." Murashigure said smiling.

"But you guys got desparte i'm not the real chosen." I groaned.

"Well because Akikaze choose you to become the chosen he's given you some of the special benifits that the chosen would have. though you don't have it all due to that fact." Akino chimed in.

"So this makes me some how more powerful than you guys in any ways?"

"Well with some things. but it doesn't come right away with time like it does to be tame." Akisame said joining in.

I sighed. "So i have to work towards getting stronger but it comes easier than it does for you guys?"

"Yeah that's pretty much it." Mura said putting his arm around my neck and smiling.

Up ahead there was a girl. she was sitting on the dirt road. She was crying for some reason. We were all quiet or a while as we stared at her. Looking at her not doing anything tugged at my heart. I ran up to her ahead of everyone. I knelt down close to her to see her face.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

The girl sniffled and pointed at her ankle and softly said "I twisted my ankle."

I took a close look at her ankle when a felt a tense pain neck with a shiver down my spine.

"Hiro!" Akino, Akisame and Murashigure shouted.

I felt like i couldn't move. I looked at the girl and she was biting at my neck. I reached for my pocket and took out my shruken shuriken. I focused on my power and rage and the shuriken grew. but it was too big to handle so close to her. I was a far distance fighter.

"I usually don't beat up little girls. but i think in this case it's okay!" Mura came up and punched the girl in the face. The girl few and let go of my neck.

Caught up in my fear I went to throw the Shuriken at the girl for what she did but Akino stopped me.

Akino glared at me and shook his head. He went of to the girl that was now unconious. Akino picked up the girl and looked over at Mura with a stern angry look. "You went too far Murashigure." He said with a flat low angry tone.

"That thing just bit me i think he did fine!" I yelled at Akino.

"You have no idea what you're talking about Hiro so just shut up!" He yelled raising his tone and me came close to me with a look in his eyes that seemed like he would have killed me if his hands were free or maybe because i was so important to this world right now.

"Maybe i don't! But you have no reason to bitch at me Akino! You weren't the one bit!"

Akisame took my arm before i had the chance to punch him. "Hiro come on." Akisame said with no emotion and a blank look in her eyes as she tugged me away from them and farther up the path.

"What the hell is wrong with him?" I asked

"There's nothing wrong with him. He saw a weak vampire not to mention she was young. You have no idea why she bit you. no one does but her. She was too young to do that just for the hell of it. she was probably doing it out of desparation."Akisame explained.

"Looks can be decieving... I want her dead."

"Well you can't kill her. Akino's going to help her and because of your extreme hate for her Akino's going to probably send her to Akikaze and he'll find somewhere for her to live."

"I think it's stupid."

"It's not. you were acting just like her a few days ago so just be quiet Hiro."

I stopped walking along side her and ripped my arm out of her hand. I walked off the trail and into the woods.

"Hiro! Come back here! It's already bad enough you got Akino pissed off. this isn't going to help you or me for that matter!" She yelled into the woods staying on the trail. I ignored her and kept walking. I went so far i couldn't see the road anymore.

Akisame's yells faided till i couldn't hear them. It started getting darker and darker was i went threw the woods. My heart started to feel heavey with worry on how to get back, if i'll get back, if someone doesn't find me. I wouldn't know what the do. I was lost.

I sat at the bottom of a tree. It slowly started to rain. I started to cry with the sky.

A dark figure approuched me. I saw his feet out of the corner of my eye and look up.

The figure took off it's black hood off it's head and revealed his face. He had a worried look. He crouched down so we could be eye level with each other.

"Excuse me miss but are you okay?" He asked.

I sniffled. I shook my head. "I don't know." I hid my face in my arms.

He sat beside me in silence. He waited a while like he was exsepcting me to say something first. "Is there any way i could help you?" He asked.

I could feel my eye color shift. not now... "I'd like to be able to get back." I said lifting my head.

"Get back where?"

"To the dirt road. The one that leads up to the big mountain."

"Okay then." He stood up and brushed himself off. He stood infront of me and held out his hand. "Come on now."

I took his hand and he helped me up onto my feet. He smiled at me brightly and held my hand till i smiled back at him. It made me sick being so close to him. I knew if i had to stand this much longer i would bite him. But would i kill him? Would i turn him into a vampire too? What if he's like a vampire slayer?! I shouldn't have left Akino. He'd know how to answer all these questions...

I tripped over a root when i was caught up in my though. although he was a good distance away from me in about the blink of an eye he had caught me. "You need to be more careful." He said smiling and helping me to my feet again.

I should probably just ask him if i want my questions answered. But i think vampire is out of the question and he's not human either. That leaves vampire slayer. YAY!

I asked him "You're not human are you?"

He smiled ignored the question and kept moving.

I still followed. I had the feeling the smile ment yes but then what the hell is he?!

"What's your name?" I asked.

"My name is Tsukami." He replied. "And yours?"

"Hiro."

"What a cute name." He smiled.

The woods seemed to go on forever. I kept following him. I was worried tha the was going to pull a trap on me at any moment. "What are you?"

"Don't worry your pretty little face about it Hiro. I'm no threat to a Vampire like you."

"How'd you know I was a vampire?!"

"The way your eyes shifted color and your teeth."

"You saw my eyes change?"

"No but I'm noticing how pale they're getting since the first glance i had at them."

"Well because you know I'm a vampire it's only fair that I know what you are." I pouted

"It's a secret. I really wish I could tell you but I can't. It's against what I go by. But if you can guess if yourself I'll tell you yes or no."

"Okay then.... So you're not a vampire?"

"Correct."

"And you're not a vampire slayer?"

"Nope." He chuckled. "There's not that many people who dedicate to only killing Vampires. There are guns for hire but even those have a small number to them."

I ignored his statement and went on with my guessing. "So are you a.... A.I.?"

"No. I caught you. You'd think you'd know that if i caught you in such a way."

"Well i don't know this world that well yet! I'm new to it all! Maybe you guys are smarter than where i come from and found a way for robots to feel like living people."

He laughed... and stopped realizing something. "Wait... where do you come from?" He asked seriously.

"Earth...." I said trying to watch what i say.

"That means. You're the choosen Vampire that showed up late?!" He looked angry.

"Well kinda not really." I said trying to keep a distance from him.

"You know you could have killed us all!" He yelled grabbing my arms tightly in his hands hurting me.

"You don't understand Tsuka-"

"No I understand fine. You're on your own now I'm not helping someone as low as you." He pushed me to the ground.

I fell in a puddle on my behind. uck... "Tsukami come back!" He started to walk off in some other direction.

I quickly got up to my feet and ran after him. I reached for his arm. In the blink of an eye he was standing behind me as I fell again not being given enough time to process threw my head that he wasn't in front of me anymore. I sat back up and looked at him panting. "I'm not THE choosen vampire. You guys were running out of time and I came along staying here past midnight and unable to go back. So Akikaze gave me some of the powers that he could give to me fulfill what the other one that didn't show up to do." I sat there trying to explain it to him. my eyes starting to water and the whites of my eyes starting to turn greyish.

"What?!"

"Please you have to believe me and you have to help me get back to the road so i can meet up with my friends. I'm starting to lose it here alone." It was starting to get hard to breath as i sniffled and cried.

He picked me back up quickly and gave me a big hug, holding me tightly and letting me cry on his shoulder. "Please stop crying. It hurts me to make a pretty girl cry."

I tried to hold back the tears and sniffle again. I wiped away the tears and got my breathing back on pace.

He sighed relieving that he got me to stop crying. I hugged him back and he held on to me tighter. He wispered into my ear, "Bite me..."

I was confused. "Wait but-"

"It won't effect me. Just do it now before I get second thoughts and you end up going crazy." He said holding me really close.

I couldn't come up with an argument. temptation won. He smelled lovely. It was extremely hard to say no to someone like him. So i didn't. I bit his neck. He jolted and tightened his grip on me. His blood was sweeter than Akino, Akisame and Mura. But i guess that's because their vampires. Tsukami is definetly more human. Tsukami let out a few paining moans gripping me tighter and tighter. I knew i had to let go or I'd kill him and my eyes were definetly coming back to a satisfied state. I let go of my bite and put my hand over the holes in his skin i left. I took a band aid out of my pocket and put it on his neck. His tense muscles relaxed and let go of me.

Dowsily he took one of my arms in his hands and pointed out to the right. "Let's go we're almost there." He said dragging his feet on our way out.

We only walked about 20 feet and i could see the end to the woods and the faint light from the moon that shone on the dirt road. I could hear my name being called.

"Sounds like you're needed Hiro." He sat down at the bottom of a tree and motioned me to keeping going without him.

"Thank you Tsukami." I bowed to him and ran out of the woods where Akino, Akisame and Murashigure were. The tears came back again as i saw them. Akino was covered in tears and worried half to death, Mura looked like he had been crying to himself but held himself together to look tough. He smiled when he saw me. Akisame was beaming the moment she saw me there standing in front of them all again.
"Hiro! You worried us. Promis me you'll never take off like that again." Akino said hugging me tightly, crying on my shoulder.
Akisame came up and rubbed both Akino's back and my back.
I looked back at the forest. I no longer saw Tsukami there. I looked back at Akino. I hugged him back and left a few tears on my his shirt. "I promis."
Murashigure came up from behind us and patted my back.
