"You say 'anyone elses'. Does that mean that you've drunk from this boy before, Elijah?" Markus said with a slight shake of his head and frown, trying to understand what was going on.

Elijah gritted his teeth, his nostril's flaring, but his eyes weren't dark with anger, but more so with tormil. He nodded his head in silence, a stiff jerk of his neck.

"I don't understand. Why can't you drink any other blood now?" Fenix asked, still confused. Hell, they all were. They were all staring at Elijah like he had gone out of his damned mind. He didn't like it in the least bit. He was always the one on control. The most logical out of all of them. What they must have thought, looking at him just now, with his appearance in complete dissarary and his eyes slightly mad.

"I don't know. When I first drank from him about two week's ago I noticed something different about his blood." He shook his head in confusion. "It was so...addictive. I almost lost control. And then..." He turned, remembering that night at the construction sigh. "A few day's later I found him again and...almost killed him." He swung back around, sensing their shock. "I don't know what happened! I have never felt like that after drinking someone's blood. There's something about it that drives you mad! If you were to drink from him you'd see too." He clenched his hands into tight fist's. "Anyway, after I finally snapped out of it I took him to a hospital and made him forget. He must have left soon after." Suddenly so weary he fell back onto the couch with a sigh, running his hand over his eyes. "It's like his blood did something to me." He shrugged. "Maybe there's something different about him. Hell, we have a guy that can heal with his hands, it wouldn't be that surprising."

"Something about him that makes his blood addictive to vampires." Markus muttered to himself, still slightly shocked. He was quiet a moment before a frown caught his face. "But wait...you drank blood that night that Lasher almost killed you."

Elijah growled at the word 'killed', not likeing the fact that he had really come so close to death. "I'm pretty sure if my body hadn't been in such desperate need of the stuff then that I wouldn't have been able to hold it down. Or I don't know, maybe it took time for my body to become like this. Whatever the reason though...I have to find out how to stop it."

"I wish Gage was here." Fenix said softly, grasping onto Von's arm. "He learned a lot about vampire's while he was away, maybe he's come across something similiar."

"No." Elijah stood. "I don't have time to wait around and hear an explination. I know where he is now, I have to.." He drew off, his face growing dark, almost pained filled. "Lasher." Suddenly he bellowed in rage, causing everyone to jump back in surprise. "I can't go now! Lasher is still out there somewhere, I have to be here to protect all of you, to make sure that nothing happens!" Spitting out obsenities he began to pace back and forth, his entire body pulsating with tension and restrained violence.

"You need to go." Markus said suddenly, making Elijah pause to turn to him. He stared at his brother a long moment, his chest heaving up and down with each breath he dragged into his lungs.

"What?"

"You need to go. You have to find a way to fix this thing. Even if it mean's bringing the boy back here."

"He's right." Von spoke up, stepping forward, sliding his hand down until he had entwined his finger's in Fenix's. "You're no good to us the way you are now. Besides, we have Trent and Gage to pick up your slack."

"That's right." Trent said with a wink, pulling his sai from their back holster's and twirling them in the air. "I've been pretty bored lately anyway, I'll jump at the chance to put a kick down on some badies."

Elijah watched them all a moment. "But...what about Fenix?"

Markus shrugged. "It's fine. I'll just watch him on the day's that Von sleep's in. It's no problem."

Elijah felt an overwhelming warmth fill him, and turned away in embarassment before they saw any emotion cross his face. Sometimes he forgot how good it felt to have people that would stand up for you. People that would risk themselves to help you.

But if Elijah were at his full stregnth he knew he would have said no. That he wouldn't risk leaving when Lasher could attack when he was gone. But the way he was now....he just needed to find Blake and find out what the hell was wrong with him. What the boy had done to him. Or his blood, rather. So, nodding stiffly he squared his shoulder's. "I'll should be back within a day's time."

Markus arched a brow. "Sure that will be enough time?"

"If I still haven't found out how to fix this, then I'll just bring him back with me. I can't stay gone too long, now considering everything that's happenening."

Von and Markus nodded behind him.

"Well the least you can do is go take a bath before you leave. You reek. Find him the way you are now and you'll just send him running the other way."

Elijah rolled his eyes at Markus's words but headed for the hallway. "He can run if he want's. It won't change a thing." Elijah said darkly. "He can't hide from me. Not anymore."
