★ Once upon a Fairy Tale in Seoul â™’ Kpop Mash-Up Drabble Series • 3/15 â–ª B1A4 – Gongchan ◊

Every day the Big Bad Wolf would scare the darling Little Red Riding Hood. But he would scare her in a different way—he would scare her by taking more and more of her heart without even noticing it.

Every day that he gave her a smile, he took a part of her heart; every day that he let her use his pen or pencil to correct a paper in class, he would take another part of her heart; every day that he gave her half of his cookie at lunch, he took part of her heart; no matter what he did, he was always taking part of it.

They played dodge ball almost every week in gym class because he and the other boys would always beg to play it. Their teacher would always let them pick their teams. Gongchan picked her first, even though he knew she would be the first one out. Her heart fluttered when he would take her hand from beside him and say, “Mine. Now pick someone, hyung.”

Little Red Riding Hood was too sweet to hurt even a fly. So when she played dodge ball, she was lost and scared. She’d scream and run to a corner and would just barely dodge the flying weapons aimed at her from all directions. But today, she and the Big Bad Wolf were the only ones left against five really big boys on the other side of the floor.

She screamed her poor little heart out and ran back and forth, avoiding flying objects as best she could. Gongchan caught one ball, annihilating one boy, but then was hit in the leg.

“You’ll be okay! Just throw a ball!” Their teacher exclaimed, laughing to herself as she watched Little Red run away.

But today, Little Red had a spark that she’d never felt before. Was she feeling strong and brave? Perhaps it was because she finally wanted the Big Bad Wolf to notice her. She picked up a ball as she ran away, just barely avoiding a ball aimed at her head. She screamed and threw the ball as hard as she could with her eyes closed. She opened her eyes to see one boy go to the bench.

“You got him out, girlie!” Her best girl friend said from the bench, a huge grin on her face. “Do it again!!”

Little Red screamed and hit the floor doing the splits to avoid being hit with a barrage of colorful rubber dodge balls. She looked up and saw that her side of the floor had all of the weapons now. She got up and picked one up, looking at it shyly before looking up at the bench with her friends on it.

She saw the Big Bad Wolf smile at her and blushed, giving him a shy smile back. She saw the look in his eyes that told her that he wished he could’ve been getting the boys out with her; he had a grudge with those boys for some reason. Upon remembering that, Little Red’s fire exploded into something bigger than herself. She smirked and picked up another dodge ball and charged to the half-court line.

She threw one throw after another until she was the last one standing. She collapsed onto the hardwood floor, having never been that tired before.

“NEVER AGAIN,” She groaned. “I WILL NEVER PLAY AGAIN.”

A charming laugh was soon in her ear as she was picked up by strong and warm arms. Soft lips were placed over her cheek and her side was suddenly being snuggled closely.

“I thought I saw something in my sweetheart’s eyes. I would’ve never guessed that my darling had such fierceness in her, though…” Gongchan kissed her cheek once more and hugged her tight.

Good thing he was holding her; Little Red’s poor fragile heart was in overdrive in his paw and she passed out, her face the color of her hood.
