You Caught Her Heart \\H.P. CAST\\ -1-

Here, I guess I am supposed to write something. I just don't know what. But by writing this, I am filling the space needed to be filled!

Soft, sweet music filled the air around. It put a pause to the busy life around- allowing even the most stressful to relax. Minutes would pass, although they all mixed together never allowing anyone to decipher one minute from the next. An occasional sound would enter its melody, whether it would be a car passing, a plate breaking, a conversation continuing or a bird chirping.
But at the sound of, "SYDNEY, GET THE PHONE WOULD YOU?"
The music stopped, and there was a pause as the pianist's fingers lingered above the notes.
"SYDNEY!"
The same voice echoed through the walls, in its background the constant dring of the telephone.
She swept a hand that flicked all the loose strands of hair to behind her ear and stood up, pushing her piano stool further behind.
And now, the telephone conversation.
"Sydney speaking," the girl spoke into the receiver as her ear came in contact with the phone.
"SYDNEY! It's you!" a shrill and excited voice screamed back in reply.
"Um, yes?" she hesitated before answering.
"God, Sydney, how can you be so daft? It's me... Catherine," the once excited voice said in a now, annoyed voice.
"Oh, Catherine. I wasn't expecting you," Sydney defended herself.
"Well, Surprise!" the ennoyed voice had dispersed as best friends conversed.
"Weren't you at that Harry Potter thingy?" she asked, twirling the coil of wire around her fingers.
"Well, ya, but I returned!"
"And??? How'd it go???" Sydney asked, curioused.
"I GOT IN!"
End of telephone conversation.
Catherine had auditioned for the part of Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movies without the approvement of her life long best friend, Sydney. But all the same, the lack of enthusiasm in the project did not put a stop to the support Sydney gave to her dear friend. And together, they'd go through scripts, research everything to do with Cho Chang and ask for advice from anyone willing to give any. And as the audition day arrived, Catherine walked in fully prepared. She knew exactly what her character liked and disliked, how her character thought and would think. That part was thanks to Sydney, as she had a talent with people, and knowing how they are. The final decision as to who got the part wouldn't be out for months, and as the days swept by, Sydney thought less and less about the whole thing- until those thoughts extinguished. Catherine, although never talked about the matter, preyed every night to whoever was up there, that she got the part she wanted. It never left her mind and every day she checked through the post. Always being left, utterly unsatisfied- and with disgarded letters chucked about the floor, waiting to be picked.
So, it's not Sydney that gets the part. Ah, a twist.
But, where's the Harry Potter group?
Upon hearing this news, Catherine heard a deep breath being taken in on the other end of the phone. She paused, waiting, nervous as to the reaction.
"Look, Sydney, I really want this-"
"WOW! That's great Catherine, really that it. I am so pleased for you!" Sydney exclaimed in delight.
"Really?" Catherine asked disbelievingly.
"Absolutely. Cathy, I know that you deserved the part more than any of the others that walked in there. And anyway, even if I didn't want you to go, don't let that stop you."
Phew, I'm not that cruel then.
Did I want that part though?
ANSWER: No, you did not.
That was just the introduction. I know it's not the stuff made to be on the highest rated, but I would most appreciate it if you voted and messaged. I don't want to be doing this series without any readers.
