Bride's POV: You were getting more than a little annoyed at your husband's silence. Why wouldn't he talk to you? You didn't like the idea of being married to him any better than he liked the idea of being married to you. What was his problem? Why did he refuse to talk about this girl he loved? Was she who you thought she was? You hoped not? Oh you really hoped not? Otherwise everyone was going to be in for a big surprise. Who was this man, your husband? What was his name? You continued to study him. You knew you knew him but from where? "Hey!" You shouted. Your husband glanced at you and scowled. "If you won't tell me her name tell me a little about her." "It's none of your business." He mutters as he dismounts. "We will camp here for the night." He helped you down from your horse and made up two different beds far from each other. You grinned. You murmered to yourself. You had always been considered somewhat of a beauty and here was your husband ignoring you. Who could have asked for a more ideal wedding and wedding day? You mutter sarcastically. You lie down on your bedroll and fall quickly asleep.
LOL!!
Faramir's POV: You finally reach Gondor. Your plans were to leave your wife here and head out for Cassie. You had to make sure your brother's widow was okay. You enter the hall and find your father sitting with the broken Horn of Gondor in his hands. You take a deep breath and fight back your tears. Boromir shouldn't have died. It should have been you. Things would have been a lot less complicated if it had been you. Your father looks up as you entered. You knew then you would have to find Cassie later as much as it hurt you to. Right now you had a city to defend.
some marriage indeed
Denethor's POV: "Hail, Denethor son of Ecthelion, lord and steward of Gondor. I come with tidings in this dark hour. And with counsel." You stare down at the broken horn in your hand. You look up and stare coldly at the wizard and his companion. "Perhaps you come to explain this. Perhaps you come to tell me why my son is dead." "Boromir died to save us; his wife, my kinsman and me. He fell defending us from many foes." Pippin cried. Pippin walks toward you and kneels. "Pippin!" Gandalf cries. "I offer you my service, such as it is. In payment of this debt."
dislikes Denethor
Pippin's POV: "Get up!" Gandalf nudged you with his staff and you stood. "My lord, there will be a time to grieve for Boromir. But it is not now. War is coming. "The enemy is on your doorstep! As steward you're charged with the defense of the city! Where are Gondor's armies?! You still have friends. You are not alone in this fight. Send word to Thoden of Rohan. Light the Beacons." You listen to Gandalf as he talks to the steward. "You think you are wise, Mithrandir. Yet for all your subtleties, you have not wisdom. Do you think the eyes of the White Tower are blind? I have seen more than you know. With your left hand you would use me as a shield against Mordor! And with your right, you seek to supplant me! I know who rides with Thoden of Rohan. Oh yes, word has reached my ears of this Aragorn son of Arathorn, and I tell you now: I will not bow to this ranger from the North! Last of a ragged house long bereft of lordship." Denethor scowled at the wizard. How could this horrible man on the throne possibly be Boromir's and Faramir's dad? Why was he grieving so? Boromir had been dead almost two years know. The man was mad. "Authority is not given to you to deny the return of the king, Steward!" Gandalf shouts. Denethor leaps up from his chair. "Rule of Gondor is mine and no other's!!!" He argues. You stare at Denethor. How could you have possible just enlisted to serve under this man. "Come!" You follow Gandalf from the room.

Later that evening you study your armor. They really expected you to fight. You'd be killed for sure. Oh well you had gotten yourself into this mess. You were the one that would have to get yourself out of it. You stand outside talking to Gandalf. The sky changes color above Minas Mogul. You shuttered. You knew the battle was near.
click
Cassie's POV: You stood outside on the patio. You had just put the children to bed. You took a deep breath of the night air. It felt wonderful. When you open your eyes you see a color change in the sky. Oh my gosh the battle was near. Was Faramir okay? He had promised to return but hadn't. You buried your head in your hands. He was your only shoot for your children to have a good home. He loved you, loved the children. What more could you ask for. You felt a shoulder on your hand. You jumped back startled. "Cassie." Eomer whispered your name softly. You trembled beneath his touch. You looked up into his eyes and your fears vanished he wouldn't hurt you. He cupped your chin in his hand. "Cassie it will be alright." "Will it Eomer? Will it?" You leaned against his broad chest and clung to him. You hoped he was right.

Pippin's POV: At dawn Gandalf lead you into the streets. "Peregrin Took, my lad. There is a task now to be done. Another opportunity for one of the Shire-folk to prove their great worth. You must not fail me." You nod and leave to light the beacon. You knew the fate of the city and of men depended on you.

click
Faramir's POV: You prepare your men for battle. You know the orcs will soon be here. Your wife rushed toward you. "I told you to take cover!" "No! I will fight as I have always done!" She retorted. "And you and no other can stop me." You grab her arm. "You are my wife you will obey me!" "Yeah some unfortunate events made it so. But you are only my husband in words! And some husband you are." She muttered sarcastically. "I don't even know your name." She leaned forward and kissed you passionately. "But that will change. Come back to me." She whispered. You nodded and walked off. She had set you soul afire in ways not even Cassie had. How had you allowed this to happen? "To the river! Quick!" You stand inside the walls of Osgiliath. It was only but a matter of moments before the orcs arrived. Your men run to your post. Your wife stands beside you and pulls on a helmet. You, your men and your wife lean against a wall and watch as the orcs rush by. You give the signal and the battle begins.
click
Pippin's POV: You have to climb up a wood pile to even reach the light. You finally get the fire started. The torch is lit. I I did it! I did it. You jump up and down and watch as the other beacons are lit. Yes. Help is now on the way.
click
Cassie's POV: You stand outside trying to get a grip on your thoughts. A light catches your eyes. The Becaons had been lit. "Aragorn!! Come quick!" Aragorn came charging out onto the patio. ""The Beacons of Minas Tirith! The Beacons are lit! Gondor calls for aid!" You hug Aragorn. The future of men just looked a little more hopeful. You turn to look at Theoden. Your heart sinks a little. He hadn't said he would come to their aid. Eomer is standing at his uncle's side. Eowyn and Geoffrey join them. "And Rohan will answer. Muster the rohirrim!" You watch Eomer bow and leave to gather the riders. You closed your eyes. You should have known he'd be in the front. "Assemble the army at Dunharrow; as many men as can be found. You have two days. On the third, we ride for Gondor. And war." Theoden told his nephew. You gasped. Two days?!!! You watched grimly as Eomer walked off. This couldn't be happening.
click
Faramir's POV: You jump out of the way as several archers release their arrows. "Tell the men to break cover. We ride to Minas Tirith. Pull back! Pull back to Minas Tirith!" You grab your wife and throw her up and on a horse and mount behind her. You had to get out of here. The city was lost. "Retreat! Retreat!" You scream. Your wife kisses you passionately. You ride towards Rohan. You see Gandalf and Pippin approach. Gandalf raises his staff. A light is given off from the staff that sends the Nazgul away. Once you are inside the gates you dismount and help your wife down. "Mithrandir! They broke our defenses, they've taken the bridge in the Westbank. Batallions of orcs are crossing
the river. You cry. You stare as you see a hobbit sitting before Gandalf. "Faramir? This is not the first halfling to have crossed your paths?" "No..." You've seen Frodo and Sam!?" Yes "Where!? When?!" Gandalf asks "In Ithilien, not long before Cassie was to be burned at stake. Gandalf, they're taking the road to the Morgul Vale." "And then the Pass of Cirith Ungol?" You nod. Im afraid so." "Faramir, tell me everything." You tell Gandalf all that you know.

click
Cassie's POV: You race from the room and run smack dab into Eomer. "Whoa!" You stumble backwards from the collision. He grabs your arms keeping you falling from to the ground. "Cassie what's wrong?" You can't answer. You had heard Sauron's voice in your head. Apparently the others hadn't heard a word he had said to you. You didn't want to have his child. Carrying Saruman's was scary enough. Eomer gazed down at you a look of concern on his face. "Cassie? Are you okay?" You nod. Tears begin to fall. Man I am weak. Why am I always crying? You wanted to give yourself a stern shaking. "Tired that's all." "Why the tears?" He asked as he wiped a tear from your eyes. "Your touch frightens me." You say partially lying. His touch did terrify you. Almost any man's touch still did. You were worried about Pippin, about your baby, about yourself and what the future might bring. "I'm sorry Cassie." You nod and he steps back and releases you. Your body trembled. You reached up and touched his face. "Eomer, oh Eomer." You whisper. His eyes turn dark and you find yourself staring longingly at his lips. Suddenly you overcome your fear for a moment and wrap your arm around his neck and pull his head down towards you for a kiss.. The kiss was sweet. As it became more passionate, more demanding you stepped back, stunned. Eomer stared down at you. "Uh....goodnight." You whisper as you race off toward your room.
she kissed him!!!!!!!!!!
Awhile later you step inside the castle and watch Pippin saying his oath. You chuckle as he gives his oath to your father. Pippin is having quit a time trying to remember his words. You give the hobbit an encouraging smile. After Pippin has finished his oath and had become a member of your father's service did your father turn his attention to you. "I do not think we should so lightly abandon the outer defenses. Defences that your brother long held intact." He said "What would you have me do?" "I will not yield the river in Pelennor unfought. Osgiliath must be re-taken." "My lord, Osgiliath is over-run." "Much must be risked in war. Is there a captain here who still has the courage to do his lord's will?" "You wish now that our places have been exchanged. That I had died and Boromir had lived." "Yes, I wish that." "Since you're robbed of Boromir, I will do what I can in his stead. If I should return, think better of me, father." "That will depend on the manner of your return." You hung your head down and walked out of the room. You ran into your wife down the hall. She grabbed your hand. "I must leave in the morning." "Give me tonight then." She yanked you into your room. You gazed at you wife in amazement and wiped a tiny sweat bead from her nose. She was so beautiful. "Who are you? What's you name?" She asked "Faramir." you whisper. "I'm Abby." She replied softly. Where had you heard that name before?
click
In the morning you dress and head out. You gather a group of soldier to retake Osgiliath. "Faramir! Faramir! Your father's will has turned to madness! Do not throw away your life so rashly!" Gandalf pushes his way though the crowd "Where does my allegiance lie, if not here?" You ask. "Your father loves you, Faramir! He will remember it before the end."
click
Abby's POV: You sit up in bed. Faramir's side of the bed was cold. When had he left? You dress and head downstairs. You see a hobbit talking with Gandalf. "Did you tell Faramir Cassie was okay?" You freeze. "Never had a chance." Pippin replies. You listen to the conversation. OMG!! You had married Boromir's brother!! Your husband loved your sister. You raced up the stairs. How coud you have allowed yourself to fall for him? You should have known this was Emelia's brother. You sank down on your bed. How could you deny your sister and Faramir happiness?
click
Aragorn's POV: "You ride with us?" You ask Eowyn. "Just to the encampment." You mount your horse and gaze over at Cassie and Madison who were ready to ride. Madison and Legolas paired off as did Geoffrey and Eowyn. Gimli and Merry stuck together. You, Eomer, Theoden and Cassie rode together. Eomer kept glancing over at Cassie who was riding quietly at your side. You'd be happy if he ever just came out and declared his feeling for her. Those two were driving you crazy. "Do you imagine Faramir's alright?" She asked softly. "I imagine so." You knew Cassie loved Eomer but did she love Faramir too. Maybe I should stick my nose back out of this. You think.
click
You make camp for the night. Eomer goes around giving orders. You see Cassie sitting alone watching him. She looked so sad. "Cassie?" You sit beside her. "What's wrong?" "I told Faramir I'd marry him but he's gone. Will I never see him again?" What?!! Your mind raced you thought she loved Eomer. "What about Eomer?" You ask. She blushes and lowers her head. "No I have to marry Faramir." What wasn't she telling you? "He fought Saruman for me Aragorn. If he lives I must marry him. It's the least I can do. He's a great man. He loves my children, loves me." "But do you love him?" You ask. "I do."
Eomer..Eomer...LOL
You race through your bedroom door and quickly bolt it. After it is secured you lean back against the door and sigh. Why had you done that? You touched a finger to your swollen lips and smile trembling. What would you have done if he wanted more? Could you.. would you have had to fight him? You lay down on your bed and pull your blankets up tight. You couln't believe Boromir had been gone nearly two years. He had been dead almost as long as the two of you had been married. You couldn't believe you had slept with his brother. Where was Faramir? He said he'd marry you. You were confused. You needed someone to help you straighten your life back you. You needed someone to slowly help you overcome your fears and hold you tight at night. Your children needed a father.
Whoa!!!
Eomer's POV: You watch Cassie run down the hall. She had kissed you! You couldn't believe it. She must have wanted that kiss pretty bad to have overcome her fear even for a moment. You chuckled. With that girl you were beginning to expect the unexpected. Life was sure interesting and great. You stared toward down the hall and heard her door slam. You wanted so much to make Cassie your wife. Would she accept? Ninety nine percent of the times you seemed to be at odds with each other. You smiled remembering some of your fights. What other girl would have thrown eggs and flour at you. You laughed. Could an everlasting love be cooking? You sure hoped so.
Life is interesting
Cassie's POV: You raced down the stair into the dining hall. Everyone was already seated for breakfast. You took your seat and grinned at your kids. Life seemed so good. You felt so happy in spite of the events going on around you. You winked at your brother and grinned at his surprised look. Things were going to be okay. They had to be. Your stomach grumbled and you stabbed your bacon with your fork. You lifted it up and studied it. Well your life had to be better than some pig's had been. You grinned and took a large bit. Bran chuckled and mocked you. You rolled with laughter. Everyone stare at you. "Sorry.. sorry.. I just..." You laugh so hard you begin to cry. Man you had never been this emotionally unbalanced when you were pregnant with the others. Aragorn, Legolas, Madison and Geoffrey all exchanged amused glances. Eomer just grinned at you. You began to blush remembering last nights kiss. You still couldn't believe you had kissed him.
He is horrible
Eomer's POV: Your grin widens at Cassie's blush. You knew she was thinking of last nights kiss. It had been surprising, wonderful and defiantly unexpected. Your sister looked at you. "Don't you look like the cat who just swallowed the canary? Spill brother. Why are you so happy?" "Well..." You say grinning even larger and you thought that wasn't possible. "You see I ran into this little minx in the hall last night and... dang it!!!" You jumped to your feet and grabbed your shin. What was with Cassie and kicking your shin? Cassie grinned innocently at you and coyly batted her eyes. Oh my gosh. She almost seemed like her old self. "Brat." You murmured quietly just loud enough that the few around you could hear. Cassie left her chair to go into the kitchen to refill her cup of juice. She tripped and spilled the remaining contents of her juice down the front of your shirt. "Sorry." She murmered.. She lowered her head and her shoulders shook. "Cassie?" She couldn't be crying over something like this could she? "Cassie?" She lifted her head and you did see tears in her eyes mixed with laughter. She had spilled her juice on you on purpose. You reached for her. She shrieked with laughter and dodged toward your uncle.
What is with them and fighting at dinner? LOL
Geoffrey's POV: Cassie dodged behind Theoden laughing. "You did that on purpose." Eomer said. "Prove it!" Cassie giggled. Your eyes widened. Was your sister almost healed? You hadn't seen her act like this for a long time. You watched Eomer knock a chair over. Cassie slid under the table and pulled herself up in a chair between Aragorn and Legolas. She stuck her tongue out at Eomer and reached across the table for her plate. "Mommy funny!" Renee said laughing. "Oh your mommy's funny aye?" Eomer lifted the girl from her chair and swing her around. The child giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Me love you Eo!" She whispered. You couldn't believe your niece had told him that. She rarely said she loved anyone. Eomer sat Renee back down. "Finish your breakfast." Eomer told the girl. She smiled sweetly up at him. You grinned over at Ashley and Eowyn. Eomer was just what your sister needed. Now to get them to see it. You watched as Eomer walked into the kitchen. He returned with a glass of juice and sat it down in front of Cassie. "I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't share with me this time." Cassie laughed. "I'll try not to." She had an onry gleam in her eye. "What minx?" You ask suddenly remembering the conversation you had been having before the spill. "Minx? What minx?" Eomer asks. You watched Cassie fight back a smile. It was so good to see her somewhat happy again.
Eomer would make a good daddy for the kids
Aragorn's POV: A while later Theoden and Gandalf declared a meeting in the study. You, Cassie, Merry. Pippin, Gimli and Legolas were all to attend. "There was no lie in Pippin's eyes. A fool...but an honest fool he remains." Gandalf says. "He told Sauron nothing of Frodo and the Ring. We've been strangely fortunate. Pippin saw in the Palantr a glimpse of the enemy's plan... Sauron moves to strike the city of Minas Trirth. His defeat at Helm's Deep showed our enemy one thing: He knows the heir of Elendil has come forth.......Men are not as weak as He supposed; there is courage still. Strength enough perhaps to challenge Him. Sauron fears this. He will not risk the peoples of Middle-Earth uniting under one banner. He will raze Minas Tirith to the ground before he sees a King return to the throne of men. If the Beacons of Gondor are lit, Rohan must be ready for war." You listen in silence. You knew Gandalf was right.
"Tell me, why should we ride to the aid of those who did not come to ours?" Theoden asks. "What do we owe Gondor?" "I will go." Cassie whispered softy. "No Cassie. Remember Denethor was going to have you burnt at the stake. Do you really think he'd listen to you." "No. But I have to try." "No!" Gandalf shouts. Cassie argues, "They must be warned!" "They will be." "They will be" Gandalf says. He looks at you. "You must come to Minas Tirith by other road. Follow the river and look to the Black ships." "Understand this: things are now in motion that cannot be undone. I ride for Minas Tirith... ...And I won't be going alone." "Where are we going?" Pippin asked Merry chasing after him and Gandalf. "I won't do it again." Pippin says. "Don't you understand?! The enemy thinks you have the Ring! He's going to be looking for you, Pip. They have to get you out of here." "And you're coming with me?" Merry doesn't answer just continues walking.

No!!!
Cassie's POV: Your heart breaks as you follow Gandalf to the stables. Merry and Pippin are training behind. "Take care of him Gandalf." "I will child do not fear. Take crae of yourself." You nod and watch Merry hand Pippuin a package. "Here..Something for the road." It was Longbottom Leaf. "I know you've run out. You smoke way to much, Pip." "B'but we'll see each other soon..." "Won't we?" "I don't know what's going to happen..." Merry says. You watch as Gandalf sends Shadowfax on his way. Merry runs after him. "Oh Merry!" You race after your hurting friend. You of all people knew how hard it was to lose someone close.
Poor Merry!!
