You also found out that Malik is being held prisoner in the palace, and can contact you through your mind. Isis now knows that you have had a past with him when he joined with Bakura, and for a little fun, you bet Atem that he couldnt keep his hands off you until your wedding, which is in a week. Enjoy the quiz!

The next few days were mostly spent getting ready for yours and Atems wedding. Each morning you and Isis would go to get your dress fitting, while Atem went to important meetings with Akunadin and the others. During the afternoons, you would wait for Atem by the river and tease him about the fact that he couldnt touch you. You could see him trying to control himself but it was obvious he was having a hard time.

It was now only three days before your wedding. You got up for your fitting as usual, and then went down to the river. It was really hot out and the water was begging you to go in a cool off from the suns hot, relentless rays.

"What could it hurt? No one is around..."

You quickly got behind a bush, took off your clothing, and placed them in a neat pile on the river bank. Then you dove into the clear cool water, feeling it rush against your skin, refreshing your sun-bathed body. As you surfaced, you saw Atem gaping at you from the shore. Knowing what was going through your future husbands mind, you turned your back to him and started to rise from the river, beads of water falling down your body. Your turned your head to look at him, but he had disappeared.

"Atem?"

Suddenly, you felt two arms wrap around your waist, pulling you behind the reeds that lined the shore. You shrieked with surprise but knew that it must be Atem.

"I knew you couldn't last a week. I win! Now get off of me your peeping tom!"

But your words were dismissed. Warm lips began to roam your neck, stopping every once in a while to savor your taste. You found yourself moaning in pleasure at the wonderful touch, as they wandered to your shoulder gently nipping and sucking leaving goosebumps in their trail. The strong hands caressed your stomach and traveled up towards your breasts. Your breath caught in your throat as you felt them being cupped gently, thumbs running over your already hardening nipples. Softly, you felt the hands knead and caress them, ever so often feeling a pinch and tug at your sensitive nipples, causing a sensation to grow in your lower stomach.

"Atem...we really...*gasp*...shouldnt...be...doing...this..."

The roaming lips had stopped suck on your shoulder, and moved up to your ear. You felt a warm breath on your ear making you shiver, which followed by a nipping on your earlobe. As much as you enjoyed it, you knew that it should wait until after the wedding.

"Atem, we have to wait until after the ceremony. Please, stop."

Uneasiness began to grow. This didnt seem like Atem at all. Hed never take it this far before your wedding, he said so himself. You tried to pull away, but the hands wouldnt move. Instead, they squeezed your breasts tightly and kept on kneading them. Now you were beginning to panic, and reacted by tensing up as you were pulled back hard against the strong body behind you. Feeling a smirk against your neck, you then heard and faint, husky whisper.

"If you were expecting Atem, your Majesty, you were strongly mistaken..."

Your eyes went wide and you tried to scream, but the stranger covered your mouth with a cloth. You began to feel very tired and soon drifted off into unconsciousness. The last thing you remember was being lifted by strong arms, and seeing two deep cerulean eyes staring down into your own.

"Sleep well...my beauty...my betrothed..."

You woke up to find yourself in a dank, dark room. There were no windows and it felt like you must be underground, do to the misty feeling in the air. Leaning against the wall, you tired to get up but a dizzy spell took over leaving you motionless on the floor.

"Howd I get myself into this mess? I wish Atem was here..."

Suddenly, you saw a figure in the doorway. He stepped into the room, a lit candle in his hand. You stared in shock at who stood before you.

"Seth! What are you doing here? Did you capture me? Take me back to Atem at once!"

Seth advanced on you, and you tried to get up, but found you still couldnt. He reached you and bent down to caress you face with his hand. Not wanting him to touch you anymore then he already had, you smack his hand away.

"Youre disgusting, you know that? How could you do that to me? Better yet, WHY did you do it? Im to be wed to the Pharaoh; your cousin in three days!"

Seth placed a finger on your lips silencing you. He stared into your eyes with something youd never seen before. He looked sad, and ashamed.

"Please Amunet, listen to me. Theres something you have to know about your past. Before Bakura killed your father and took you prisoner."

You looked at his pleading eyes. You nodded in agreement and he sat down next to you.

"There is a secret that your father kept from you when you were a child. Something he never got to tell you before he passed on. He was in league with a High Priest of Upper Egypt, who at the time, was bent on betraying his own Pharaoh. Your father met this priest in secret and made a deal with him. The priest was offering the secret to Pharaoh Akunamonkanons weakness, but in return, his son would receive your hand in marriage, which in the long-run, would make him Pharaoh of all Egypt after Akunamonkanon was destroyed. Your father agreed, and even arranged to take you to meet your future husband. But the day before you were to depart, Bakura captured you..."

"Hold on a moment. What does this have to do with you? Unless...no...you couldnt!"

Seth nodded. Your eyes grew even wider, mouth dropping in shock. This couldnt be happening. Your father never kept any secrets from you.

"No. This...its just not possible. Youre a High Priest for Ras sake! I cant be betrothed to someone let alone you! Im going to be wed to Atem!"

"Please Amunet, listen to me! Its all true! I am the son who you were promised to. My father Akunadin had planned to deceive his Pharaoh...but when you were captured the plan fell through. Atem took over as the new Pharaoh, and my father hadnt expected this to happen...when Atem found you and brought you back to the palace, my father instantly recognized your name and couldnt believe you survived. He told me this, and when I saw you, I knew at once that I had to make you mine. Our fate has been sealed. Weve been promised to each other for years, and I dont plan on forgetting that promise."

Your head was spinning in circles. This must be all a dream. None of it could be possible. Betrothed to Priest Seth? Of all people? He hated your guts ever since he first set eyes on you. Yet now, he was telling you that you were promised to him by your own father! This couldnt be your true destiny; to go against Atem, your true love and future husband? To conspire against him and rule along side Priest Seth as his wife? No, it couldnt be. You would not do it.

"Amunet?"

You were brought back to reality as you felt Seth shake your shoulder. You looked into his eyes, never realizing until now how beautiful they really were. Their sparkling blue color, that reminded you of the clear river on sunny days. What was getting into you? You felt as if your mind was beginning to cloud over. Seth stared back at you, unable to read your expression.

"I do not know what to say to you, Seth. You treated me like dirt, insulted me and my family, forced yourself on me...and now you tell me this? What am I supposed to think? Do you expect me to just accept it and suddenly climb into your arms like it was all meant to be? I hardly know you..."

Seth took your hands and looked deeply into your eyes.

"I know I have not treated you the way you should be, and I am sorry. But just grant me this one request. Get to know me, and I will get to know you. Give me but three days that is all I ask. If you do not accept me, then I will drop your fathers wish and return you to the palace."

You thought about it, but knew it was not right. Your wedding was to be in three days. Could you really cause Atem that much worry? It did not feel right, but something inside of you was pushing you to let this happen. Finally, after moments of silence, you made up your decision...

"Ok Seth. Three days but that is all."

For the first time since you had met him, Seth smiled. His once cold eyes were now full of warmth and happiness. Even after all he had done to you, everything he had put you through, you could not help but smile back at him as he gently embraced you in his arms.

"I am sorry Atem...please forgive me for doing this to you, but something inside of me is telling me to do this. I promise I will make it up to you...if you still decide to accept me back into your heart..."

Just above ground, in the palace, Priestess Isis woke with a start. She looked down and saw her Millennium Necklace was glowing.

"Oh my dear Amunet...what has Seth done? Your destiny and the destinies of many others are changing right before my eyes! Be careful and wise my princess for Egypts fate rests in your unknowing hands..."

"Dear Ra, Seth! You scared the life out of me!"

Seth cocked an eye-brow at you.

"Who else could you possibly think was down here? You aren't afraid are you?"

You frowned and hit him on the arm. You walked over to the bed and sat down in deep thought.

"So Seth...what now? What do you want to do since you have three days with me?"

Seth looked at you with a mischievous grin on his face. You then realized what he was thinking about in that head of his.

"Not THAT Seth. Is your mind always in the gutter? Its not very flattering you know. What I MEANT was about getting to know each other."

"Oh, erm right. Well, what happened after Bakura captured you? All my father told me was that something had gone terribly wrong. Something that threatened to ruin all of his plans."

You sighed and wondered where to begin.

"After Bakura captured me, I was forced to become a servant to him and his fellow thieves. I was only a child, and I was terrified of them, especially Bakura. It was ten years of cleaning floors, shoveling out stables, and at every beck and call of the thieves. But when I turned sixteen, Bakura began to treat me differently. Instead of serving his thieves, I was ordered only to serve him and no one else. He began eying me more and more, and would tell me things that he planned on doing to me, I was now even more terrified of being...of being raped than anything else. But although my life seemed at an all time low, there was one person who treated me kindly, and made my life a little better. He gave me the hope I needed to deal with Bakura. He even showed me the outside world, something I had not seen for years. He risked his life to see me happy, and I will never forget him...but now, he is a prisoner; a prisoner in the same palace that I began to call home."

Seth wondered about this for a moment. Then it dawned on him, that there was a suspected thief that was found only days ago. But before he could ask, his question was answered.

"Yes Seth. The prisoner is indeed the same one who helped me. His name...is Malik and he too shared a bond with me. He even gave me a necklace and protected me from Bakura. I never saw him again after the night Bakura tired to..."

Tears began to form in your eyes. You tried to choke them back, but failed, letting them flow freely down your face. Seth looked at you with sadness and guilt. After hearing your story, he felt sorry that he took you away from the palace due to his selfish wants. It was not even his whole idea to take you underground. It was his father, Akunadin, who pressured him into doing it.

"Seth, now is the time to make Amunet yours! Our plan to take control of Egypt can still work! She still is promised to you. Marry her, and you will be Pharaoh! And if she does not comply willingly, use the Millennium Rod. Egypt will be ours for the taking!"

"My stupid father." He thought. "He has no compassion whatsoever. I can not force her to do something she does not want..."

Seth brought you into his arms, and you could not help but cry on his shoulder. He caressed your back and after a while you calmed down. You were taken aback how kind he was towards you and you began to have second thoughts about the cold and distant Priest.

"He is being so kind to me," you thought. "Maybe I was wrong about him."

You left your conscience behind and wrapped your arms around him. This surprised him, but he gladly held your body close to his.

"I am sorry Seth, I am sorry for misjudging you. Will you forgive me?"

He looked into your glittering light blue eyes and wiped the remaining tears from your face.

"You should not apologize. I am the one who treated you so coldly. I am the one who should be asking you for forgive..."

But before he could finish, you plunged your lips on his in a kiss.
