Haha whatever floats your boat I apologize =]]Viktor Krum awaited Mae every Sunday down by the lake where she would help him read. The way that they got close together had people whispering but it wasn’t until one night when Mae didn’t come home that people started to anxiously ask each other. That wasn’t the case though. It was October and Mae received various owls from her father. Once in a while she was with Fred and George while at other times she was alone. Every weekend though she would make time for Viktor.
Late in the evening of one Saturday afternoon Viktor walked into the dining commons. With a trail of girls following him he made his way towards Mae. The girls soon enough backed away and he crouched down to look Mae in the eyes. Grabbing her hand he kissed it and smiled.
“Where were you today Viktor?” Mae asked impatiently as the book would sit on the top of the table. Viktor smiled and sat down next to her. Everyone in the commons silently tried to make their way into watching distance of what they were doing.
“I was at that village, Hogsmeade, and I got you something,” Viktor murmured quietly and Mae looked at him without anything tracing her eyes.
“That is nice of you Viktor but I would rather you be here with me than any old present.” Mae declined his offer but Viktor shook his head. He would not allow it to be declined.
“Mae please, we can read another time, I want to give to you what I bought from the small, what is it, shop.” Excitement filled Viktor’s soft cheeks and patiently Mae just shrugged and gave her ‘why-the-hell-not’ faces. Grabbing her hand once again and raising it to his lips, he watched as her cheeks became hot and her stomach filled with butterflies. It was downright evil what he did to her, every kiss on the hand, every look in the eye, and every moment that he got closer to her but somehow she did the same.
Viktor took out a light brown package and gave it to Mae. He was sitting with one leg over one side of the bench and another over the other side. With his hands holding onto the bench he watched as she opened it with excitement. All the girls in the room by now watched with envy in their hearts. Some even started to cry. Mae saw a little portion of Viktor’s present and let out a gasp. Down in her hand was a book of love poetry. But when she fully took off the paper she noticed it was not made by an author. Looking through the book she found various love poems which she soon realized was Viktor’s hand writing.
“Oh my Viktor, did you write all these for me?” Mae was completely stunned.
“Yes, I didn’t know how to ask you, but I want you to be my sweetheart,” whispered Viktor into her ear. With absolute astonishment she hugged him and then pulled away.
“Of course,” she whispered.
Later on that night she sent an owl to her parents talking about the new relationship she was in with none other than Viktor Krum. At first they kept it under the down low but soon enough people started talking as they became closer and more intimate. Every chance he got Viktor would wrap his arms around her waist and kiss her cheek.
It was a week or two in November before the Triwizard Tournament’s first task and Mae feverishly feared for her sweet heart. It only remained a secret to most of what the first task would be. John Bruscetta had sent her an owl telling her that he would be in the Forbidden Forest with dragons. Little did most people at Hogwarts know but her father was one of the world’s most renowned dragon tamers.
One evening as they sat outside near the lake in the winter frost reading Mae looked from her book and upwards. Looking under his defined jaw line she anxiously awaited the competitor. He had his legs spread around her lower half and she was lying against his chest as he lay against a rock. From far away they could hear the merpeople sing their beautiful songs.
“Viktor,” Mae said with a worried voice.
“Yes love, what is the matter?” Viktor now looked from his book and at Mae wondering deeply what had stirred his girlfriend.
“I fear for you,” she cooed. Laughing he just gave her a puzzled look.
“Fear for what Mae?” Viktor asked suspiciously. She could not just tell Viktor what was happening so she took him by the hand and stood up. Looking out to the gates of the forbidden forest and back at the candle that was lying on another rock she sighed.
“Please follow me Viktor,” Mae said while burning out the candle and pulling out her wand. Viktor held onto her hand and she clenched tightly. Leading him through the Forbidden Forest they heard all sorts of creatures howling with distinction. Soon enough they heard a couple of people and what Mae recognized to be Papa Bruscetta’s voice. Pulling away bushes Viktor held onto Mae tightly as he watched fire breathing dragons raging in their cages.
“Wow,” Viktor, who was amazed at the moment, let out a gasp and held onto Mae even tighter.
“Viktor the first task is dragons,” Mae whispered into his ear.
“You mean ‘are’ dragons,” Viktor corrected. She pretended to slap his cheek and they both laughed casually. Soon enough they were spotted by John and Mae pulled away from Viktor. Running into her father’s arm he felt rejoiced to be with his daughter.
“And who might this young chap be Mae?” John walked over with his arm around his daughter’s shoulders and looked Viktor up and down with a welcoming smile.
“This is Viktor,” Mae proudly said.
“Ah, you must be the young bloke who my daughter has fallen in love with,” John smirked. Viktor laughed and Mae started to blush but just as she was about to tell her father to stop he continued. “Did you know Mae has a thing for seekers?” Viktor shook his head and looked down at Mae to see she was going through a great amount of embarrassment.
“Mae certainly has a thing for me sir, she is a beautiful girl,” Viktor complimented and Mae seemed to stop hiding in her father’s armpit. Looking into Viktor’s eyes as he grabbed her hand and squeezed it a bit as her father continued.
“Yes she does, I always figured it was the skill seekers had with riding broomsticks, after all, that skill must be a great use in bed.” John winked and Mae once again flushed and yelled at her father. Viktor was taken into a small shock but chuckled for a while as her father went on about how well they must be. Viktor put an arm around Mae’s waist and squeezed her close by him. “You are very much all over my little girl at the moment,” John laughed while taking notice.
“Oh do not get the wrong intention sir, I only wish to protect her. This forest is a dangerous place, and those dragons, are also dangerous.” Viktor was very protective and Mae had noticed this every time he would be around her. When Henry would even consider walking by her table Viktor would just grab her as tight as he could and glare in Henry’s direction.
“Well it is good there is someone else to protect her in this world,” laughed John.
“Oh father it’s getting late,” Mae yawned. Hugging her father she said goodbye and Viktor also bowed in appreciation to meeting him. Viktor decided that he would walk Mae to the Gryffindor common room. Across the plains Viktor looked down into Mae’s eyes as she lovingly stared into his.
“Mae can we sit on the grass?” Viktor asked pointing his hand towards the ground.
“Of course,” Mae whispered. As they sat down next to each other they looked into the stars. Viktor watched tightly and would occasionally glance in Mae’s direction.
“He was a nice man,” Viktor proceeded to make conversation.
“Yes he is very protective, yet loving,” Mae smiled looking out into the lake.
“My grandfather was like that supposedly. Grindewald, a dark sorcerer had killed him. It was long ago though, nothing too personal, just heartbreaking.” Mae stared at Viktor in shock and locked her hand in his. Intertwining they looked at each other and grew closer. With sympathy in her eyes she held his cheek in her soft hand.
“I am sorry Viktor,” Mae whispered as she cuddled close into his chest. Lying down on the grass he started to comb his hand through her hair.
“I told you this because, I love you Mae. I also trust you; can you forgive me for any harm I have done to you?” Viktor whispered. Mae looked up at him as she draped her arm around his chest and quizzically gave him the same look that she got from him daily.
“You could never hurt me Viktor,” Mae silently said.
“I know, I trusted you with one of my secret’s, can you trust me with yours?” Viktor asked. Mae sighed and figured that it was time to tell him the secret that ruled her life.
“Will you still love me Viktor?” Mae whispered as she became in face to face range.
“I always will love you Mae,” he echoed in her mind.
“Well I do have one secret,” she whispered into his ear.
