The Seeker's Keeper (An Oliver Wood Story) [INTRO]

(Ugh! For some reason, the girl's pic in the banner is so blurred!)I've had this Oliver Wood story idea in my head since *checks Microsoft Word thing* January 6, 2005 and I hadn't posted it yet because I know the plot, but not the filler quizzes/details. But I just read a new story about Oliver and I hope my story and that writer's story won't end up having some of the same storylines (mine's is not Hogwarts based, but instead Pro-Quidditch based).

Intro: Please read the memo, it's very important! You will learn some info about the character in the story, but it's easier to tell you the rest now. It's around 1994-1995 summer--the time when the Order came back into action. You got selected by a Quidditch team earlier in the year. (And let's just say you can get selected by a Quidditch team, but you can start playing for it over a year or two later.) You have very long--waist-length--blonde hair that's always put up in a ponytail (or in some sort of do). Your eyes are a piercing/striking blue that sort of, shine/sparkle all the time. Sorry if some of the info in the story seems clichd (and if Skylark has been used for a magic school name before, please message me and let me know). The story will seem hazy in the beginning, but I will explain throughout. If you will still have any questions, feel free to message me. Oh also, there is a time error in here; for this story, let's just say everybody in the story graduated in Harry's fourth year, not his third. Thanks. *Start of Quiz*

"Hello and welcome to Glasser's Quidditch Training Camp. We know you all were talented Quidditch players at your old school, and have been selected by different famed Quidditch teams. All of you are required to take this training program by your new teams. This program will go on for a couple of months, teaching you new techniques and improving your old ones. I'm one of the counselors and heads of the camp. The other one, whom you'll be seeing tonight, is Brian Pierce. Now we'll introduce ourselves in order. State your name, your old school and it's location, your age, your new Quidditch team and your position on it. I'll start. I'm Anne Meadows, age 21. I went to an eastern European school--not many of you will know it--and I don't have a Quidditch team. I just teach. Now you," the counselor pointed to a pretty brunette with green eyes.

"My name is Amanda Travers and I'm 18. My old school was Durmstrang in Bulgaria, and I'm going to play for Chudley Cannons as a Chaser," the brunette said in a perfect British accent. She probably moved to Durmstrang from England.

The counselor pointed to a guy with brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. When he started speaking, you realized he was Scottish, "Oliver Wood, 18. I went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is in England, and I'll be a Keeper for Puddlemere."

One by one, people introduced themselves (there were less than twenty), until the counselor pointed to you.

You smiled in a friendly way, "Hi, my name is Lara Campbell and I attended a small school in England, Skylark's Academy of Magic. I'm 18 and I'll be a Seeker for Puddlemere." You were the last person in line.

"Nice to meet all of you," Anne continued. "Now I will show you the places you'll be staying at. Each team has their own large cabin, in which there are separate, small rooms for each of you. Please follow me." She led everybody over the grassy area of the huge camp. After giving the Chudley Cannons a tour of their cabin and leaving them there, Anne led the Puddlemeres to their cabins. Once you got there, she started giving you a tour.

From the outside, the cabin looked small and shabby, but from the inside, it was like a mansion. The first level (the size of an apartment) was a living room, kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms, and some free space to the side. The second level was basically a hallway with ten rooms—two bathrooms, seven bedrooms (in case seven players come to be trained), and a large storage room. It was going to be comfortable living here.

"I have to go coordinate schedules with the other counselor, so you all can go on and socialize since you'll all be on the same team," Anne said, leaving with her clipboard of names.

Everybody put their things away and went back downstairs to get acquainted. There were only five Puddlemeres in all. When you reached a large couch, you saw the Oliver boy talking with a guy who had black hair and blue eyes.

A girl your age came up to you and smiled, "Hi, I'm Elizabeth Aarons." She was a redhead with green/hazel eyes.

You smiled back, glad to make a new friend, "Hey. I'm Lara Campbell." You guys sat and chatted about many things.

"That's my boyfriend, Greg," she said suddenly, pointing to the boy next to Oliver, "Our parents are really close. We used to live in America, but moved to France—to Beauxbatons—a couple of years ago. We were always best friends, and we became a couple in France. He's great. Do you have a boyfriend back home?"

"Back home..." you muttered, a frown forming on your face. You looked up at Elizabeth and shook your head.

"Oh," was all she said, and resumed normal conversation. "How is this Skylark school? I've never heard of it," she said.

"Yeah, it's pretty secluded. I wanted to go to Hogwarts, but my parents made me go there," you added bitterly. Your parents had sent you there because students there were sorted mostly by their bloodline and ancestry, whereas Hogwarts looked at talents and traits. They wanted you to get into the 'evil' house (as you put it) in Skylark, like they had been before you, but you were sorted into the 'good' house because that's what you'd forcefully demanded. They were very disappointed, but they still never found out you got into the good house on your own will. You zoned back into the conversation with Elizabeth, who was now discussing the supposedly beautiful city of Paris.

"...And then there's the fascinating Eiffel Tower. Most amazing place ever!"

You smiled again, "I think I'm going to freshen up now. Dinner will start soon." She nodded her agreement and you both went to your rooms.

You shut your door and put away your empty suitcase (you organized your belongings earlier). You were just about to go take a shower when there was a slight knock at the door. Who do you think it is?
Sorry it's short. It'll be longer and better next time! I hope you liked it.
