“Kasumi wake up!” was heard from a boy this morning in the Mizushima house hold. The boy was trying to wake up his little sister, but that didn’t go as well as he planned it to be.
“Just 5 minutes, no wait. Make that 10 minutes more please” the girl said while turning around keeping the warm blanket close to her body trying to ignore the irritating voice that was taking her from her pleasant dream she had. But sadly the boy wasn’t one that liked to wait, his goal was to wake up his sister, and he wasn’t afraid to make her mad. “No now, you have tennis practice” the boy said, giving her one last chance to get out of bed herself or she had to face the consequences.
“I’ll do the extra laps, just let me sleep” the girl said, this time sound more irritated and pulled the pillow over her head, hoping this would lock away the evil spirit that took her away from her warm and save hiding spot. “Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you” the boy said and left the room. The girl sighed, feeling relieved she chased the evil spirit away. Just as she was about to go back to her dream she could feel a ice cold wet feeling over her body.
“KAZUO YOU!!”
The girl yelled, waking up immediately and started chasing the snickering boy who spilled water over her. “When I get you you’re gonna wish you never did that!” “I warned you!” the boy yelled running into the toilet and locked it. This left the girl only able to bang onto the door “Open it you coward!!” “No” was the laughing response she got from the boy. “Why you evil-” “What’s going on here?” just as the girl was about to say something, she got cut off by her mother who appeared behind her “Kasumi, stop yelling this early in the morning you’re going to wake up you’re little brother and sister” “But Kazuo spilled water on me!” Kasumi tried to complain “That’s what you get for not waking up when you’re supposed to” her mother answered and pulled her upstairs to the shower. “Now go shower, get dressed in dry clothes before you get sick and have a fast breakfast or else you’re going to be late at your practice” her mother said leaving her in the douche. Kasumi sighed and went on with her daily routine ‘Just wait when I get you Kuzuo’ She thought and turned on the shower, and get ready for practice.
*Fast forward to after practice*
“That was all for today, I see you guys tomorrow because practice this afternoon is cancelled” Ryuuzaki-sensei said and dismissed us. Everyone sighed and walked towards the lockers.
“Sumi-chan” Eiji said while giving me a hug from behind “Let’s meet up at the lockers ok?” “Sure thing Eiji” I said to him and smiled. “Senpai~!” Momo yelled walking next to me “How can you still smile after that practice? That’s not healty, not healthy at all” he panted. “I agree” Ryoma said who was walking next to him “This practice was really tiring” “You just say that because you were the one to drink the new Inui-juice” I said laughing to him “Well, you had to drink it too senpai!” at that I gulped at thought about the drink me and Ryoma had to drink, it was NOT good at all “Saa, I think you were pretty lucky to drink it” Fuji said “Don’t say such horrible lies Fuji” I said to him “That drink is the worst thing I’ve ever drunk before” he chuckled “But your reaction was pretty cute Kasumi-chan” “Please stop teasing me Fuji” I said blushing a little which caused him to laugh even more.
I shuddered at the thought of my first time drinking it. It’s embarrassing to say but, I fainted. But then again, I was not the only one who fainted drinking it. And also Fuji brought me to the nurse, so I got to spend some time alone with him, I consider that very lucky since we don’t spend much time together with just the two of us. But this time the drink was much worse. And the thing is that I didn’t faint this time! But to be honest, I’d rather would faint. Now I got this horrible after taste in my mouth.
“I agree with Kasumi-senpai on this one, this drink was horible” Ryoma said and walked inside the boys locker room. “I see you later Sumi-senpai” Momo said and also walked in “We see you at the lockers Kasumi-Chan” Fuji said walked in too with Eiji following him as he grinned at me. I smiled back at them and walked to the girl locked room. You see, I am in the boy regular team. Ryuuzaki made a special exception for me.
I walked into the girls locker room, it was empty. I took a quick shower and changed. I walked to the where we agreed to meet. They weren’t there yet so I decided to pull out my book and read until they came. I stood there for 5 minutes when I could hear Eiji’s loud voice walking my way. I put my book away and walked towards the sound.
“I tell you it’s a good idea!” Eiji yelled at Kazuo with a big smile on his face
“I don’t know, I’m sure I get killed if this does not work out” Kazuo said with a troublesome face
“I’m sure it will work out, Momo said he and Chibiko-chan will help with the plan too.”
“That’s the part I’m the most scared off” Kazuo murmured loud just enough to hear him
“ So please help us too” Eiji begged him “please~”
“Well I’m not sure if-” Kazuo started but Eiji cut him off “I’ll buy you chocolate for a month”
“Chocolate?” Kazuo said with a blank face “Did you say chocolate?! I am so in”
‘Oh no, this is not good’ I thought while walking towards them
“What are you guys talking about?” I asked them.
“Oh it’s about-” Eiji started but as soon as he saw me he stopped “Whaa~ Sumi-chan don’t startle us like that” “Yes, don’t appear out of nowhere, it’s creepy” Kuzuo said while eyeing me
“Creepy?” I said laughing “And said the guy who freaks out as soon as he heard the word: ‘chocolate’” Kazuo gave me a look and was about to say something but I cut him off “But you stll didn’t answer my question” “What question?” “What where you guys talking about? ” I repeated.
“Well” Eiji said and started acting suspicious ‘This guy really can’t lie’ “That’s really none of your concern” Kazuo said to me “Doesn’t matter, I want to know” I said grinning “No” “Just tell me” “I said no” “Why not?” “Because it’s none of your business” “Then it’s not a problem if you tell me right” “I said no” “Please tell me” While arguing with Kazuo I didn’t notice Tezuka, Fuji, Oishi, Inui and Taka-san arriving.
“What are they arguing about?” Kawamura asked while looking at us shouting at each other
“Actually I’m not really sure either” Eiji said to him while scratching the back of his head
Fuji started laughing as Oishi tried to stop us fighting but failed. “The possibility that they’re fighting about something that happened to them this morning is 11% and the percentage that they are fighting because Kazuo refuses to answer Kasumis’ question is 89%” Inui said while scribbling something in his notebook. “This is pretty interesting” he said “How is this interesting Fujiko, they’re fighting!” Eiji said to him “I know” Fuji answered and looked at him. “Kowaii (Scary)” Eiji said while backing away from Fuji.
“Just tell me and I promise I will forgive you for the incident this morning” I said to Kazuo ‘I just want to know what they’re up to, I know the look in their eyes when the talked and it’s not good’ “Wait, you haven’t forgiven me yet” Kazuo said shocked “Are you really that stupid, of course not. How would YOU feel if someone poured water over you when you were sleeping?” I said bluntly “Probably not good” “Exactly!” “But I still won’t say a thing” “But-” I started, but only to be cut off by a feeling that someone intimidating was standing behind me. I slowly looked behind me and saw Tezuka staring down at me. “He he he~” I giggled awkwardly at him. I slowly backed away from him to hide Eiji. “He started it” I said while pointing to Kazuo. “What?!! That is so not true!!” Kazuo started, only to receive a glare from Tezuka. But Kazuo wasn’t afraid of him and glared right back.
“Well, let’s just go to class, or else we’ll be late” Oishi said, breaking the tension. Kazuo glanced at me, then at Tezuka and then at Eiji before he walked off to his class. Inui and Taka said goodbye followed him, since they are in the same class. Tezuka and Oishi also went to their class, which left me alone with Eiji and Fuji.
“Che” I said and started walking to class. “Eiji, why can’t you tell me what you where talking about?” I asked him. He gulped and looked away “Because it’s supposed to be a surprise” he said and put his hand over his mouth. “What is a surprise?” Fuji asked him. Eiji looked at him then at me, and then at Fuji again before he started to run away while screaming “I’m sorry~!”
Fuji started laughing at his friend who ran away so quickly while I just stared blankly at his back. “Saa, that was interesting” Fuji said “He could’ve just told me he doesn’t want to say it” I said to him.
“Then why did you argue with your brother about it?” Fuji asked and stared at me “Because he’s annoying” I said grinning and started walking to class. He laughed and patted my head “You’re very interesting Kasumi-Chan” And here we go again, that weird feeling in my chest is back and I can feel my face burning. I can’t take this feeling anymore, I need to ask it. “Fuji, can I ask you something?” I said while looking at him shyly “ Sure” He said and opened his eyes. He does that rarely, but whenever he does I can’t help but stare into his deep blue eyes while trying to figure him out. When I’m together with him, or just close to him I get this weird feeling I can’t place. I had set my mind on figuring out what it was, but I got no luck in finding an answer. I think it might be some health problem, my mom has allergies to a few things and maybe I’m allergic too? (Me: Random fact: Did you know that in the manga and games Fuji has brown eyes but in the anime he has blue eyes? I stick with the blue eyes because I think more people have seen the anime and not read the manga or played the games :3). I stared and his eyes before I made myself look away before I got lost in them. “What kind of lotion do you use?” there I said it, I need to know this, what if my brother buys the same one and I get to feel exactly like this around him? That would be extremely awkward and wrong. “What?” He said a little taken back “Your lotion, what do you use?” I repeated. He started at me for a while and then started laughing “What’s wrong?” I asked him. “Saa, it’s nothing, it’s just thought that you were going to-” he started but stopped “Never mind” He said smiling as we walked into the classroom. Just as I thought Eiji was already here, he was sitting in my chair and was talking to my friend Kira-Chan. He had the same look in his eyes as he had when he talked to Kazuo “This is not good” Murmured to myself “What?” Fuji asked “Eiji and Kazuo are planning something, I’m sure of it” I said to him. Fuji looked at Eiji who gave Kira-Chan a high five and walked towards his own seat. “I’ll make sure to keep an eye on him Kasumi-Chan” Fuji said and walked towards his seat, which was behind Eiji’s. “Thank you” I said and gave him a smile. He looked behind his shoulder and gave me a nod. I walked towards my seat, which was in the last row in the corner. As I sat down I faced myself towards Kira-Chan and just stared at her, I knew she couldn’t stand it when I did that. She glanced at me and then away, she did that a few times before she sighed and faced me. “What’s wrong?” she said. “What did Eiji asked you?” I asked her. “What?” “What did Eiji just ask you, I just saw you talk to him” I said to her. “Oh, that” Kira-Chan said “He,” she started and glanced at Eiji for a bit, who was sitting in the front row because the teacher didn’t think it was a good idea to put him in the back “He asked me out!” She suddenly said smiling widely. “What?” I asked her in disbelieve “You always call me a genius, which is not true by the way, but do you really think I’m going to fall for that?” I said sarcastically while raising one eyebrow. She laughed awkwardly “But it’s true” “If it’s true, proof it” I said to her “What?!” “Proof it” “How?” she asked me. “I don’t know, in a book I’ve read, people kiss when they’re in love. So kiss him” “WHAT?!!” She screamed and stood up, just as the teacher came inside “Haruko-San, please sit down and stop screaming” he said and walked towards his desk. Kira-Chan turned red and sat down, but when she made eye contact with Eiji she quickly looked at me. I smirked at her and looked outside, I’m already fluent in English so this class isn’t that important to me. I let my head wander off to Fuji and what I just said to Kira-Chan. ‘If what I read in that book is true, could it be that I like Fuji? Maybe I should look up some books about love after school, practice is cancelled anyway’ I felt something fall near my hand and saw a paper, I looked to Kira and she gave me a wink and mouthed “Read it”. I opened the paper and saw it was a massage from her.
‘Hiii Kasu-Chii,
You really just should go meet your secret admirer thisafternooon. I totally think you should, it’s been months since it started, aren’t you curious about who it is?

I stared at the note for a while, and then looked if the teacher wasn’t looking at us. You see, I’ve been receiving messages from a secret admirer since a few months ago, and the last one said he wanted to meet me in the park today at 17:00pm. But I’m not really interested in these kind of things.
I made sure the teacher wasn’t watching when I threw the note on her desk;
‘But I’m not really interested in it. What if it’s someone I don’t like? Or even worse; what if it was one of my friends and I don’t feel the same? That’d be totally awkward right? So I am not going., I was actually planning to go to the library after school since practice is cancelled, I need to do some research. You wanna come? ’
She sighed when she read the paper and nodded at me. And paid attention to class again.
‘Secret admired huh? Maybe I should go after all, it’s rude if I don’t right?’ I looked out of the window and decided not to think much about it.
When our brake finally came, me and Kira walked towards our lockers. They’re next to each other, that’s also how we became to be friends. When she told me Atobe was her nephew I was really shocked. I really hate the guy, he’s too cocky and self-centered for my liking. But we became good friends anyway. We walked to our usual spot where we ate every day. “So you and Eiji huh?” I said and smirked at her as she almost chocked on her food. “Hahaha, are you ok?” I laughed as she gave me a glare “You know you can just tell the truth” I said while eating my lunch “About what?” “I know you lied when you said Eiji asked you out, if he really did I’m sure he’d be with you right now” “I never lie, besides he’s coming here later” She said but suddenly started smirking “What?” I asked her “with Fuji-Kun” she added. This time it was me that almost chocked on my food and her time to laugh. “I knew it” she said and smirked at me “you like Fuji-kun” “What?! No way” I argued “Then why are you turning red every time I say his name? I bet he’s the reason why you don’t want to meet your secret admirer” I was quiet at that “To be honest, I really don’t know” Just as she was about to say something Momo and Ryoma sat next to us. “Hey Kira-Senpai, Kasumi-Senpai What’s up?” Momo asked while getting his lunch “Everything is great” Kira answered and mouthed to that we’ll continue our conversation later. “So we are going to eat something after school, you two wanna come to?” Momo asked while looking directly at me, not even glancing at Kira ‘Weird…’ “Eh, we can’t” I said to him “Why?” Ryoma asked while drinking his ponta “We already made plans” I answered him “Exactly, so we have to refuse this time Momo, maybe next time?” Kira said to him “That’s too bad” Momo said sighing “Echizen now we need to find someone else that will pay for us” That made me laugh “Is that the only reason you asked us to come?” I asked while eyeing him. He only awkwardly laughed back. Just then Eiji and Fuji walked to us. Eiji sat next to Kira, who gave me a smirk, I just rolled my eyes at her. Fuji sat next to me. “So what’s new-nya?” Eiji asked. “Momo wants us to pay for his food” I said to him bluntly “Ah Momo! You can’t let a women pay for your food, get a job” Eiji said to him “I don’t have time for one, with all the practices I hardly even have time for myself. Kira, Eiji, Momo and Ryoma continued their conversation while I just ate my lunch while thinking about what Kira just sat and glanced at Fuji next to me ‘Do I really like him?’ He caught my glance and looked at me. “Is there something wrong?” “Huh? Oh eh, no I was just thinking about” ‘I’ve got to come up with something fast’ “If you noticed anything about him yet” I said while glancing at Eiji who just stole something from Kiras’ Bentou without her noticing it. “Saa, actually I have” he said, which grabbed my attention ”Do you want to know?” “Of course I do, tell me!” “He asked if I wanted to go to the library with him later” “What? Does he even know what a library is” “Apparently” ‘Wait, I was planning to go to the library with Kira too’ I looked over at them and saw that they were talking about a new video game that’ll come out next week. “Is there something wrong?” Fuji asked me, I looked at him and felt that weird feeling in my chest again “Well, it’s just that Kira and I were also going to the library after school” “Really? But don’t you have a date with your secret admirer?” “How do you know about that? I only told Kira and I’m sure that she didn’t say anything to you” I looked at him surprised “Saa, who knows. But you didn’t answer my question” “You didn’t answer mine either” “But I asked first” I sighed, I’ve never won an argument with him before “Well” I started, trying to think of a good reason. I noticed him look at me with much attention ‘Maybe I should tease him a bit?’ “It’s because I already know who it is” I said while smiling “You do?!” He asked with his eyes open ‘Welcome, crazy feeling in my chest. I have to say I kind of missed you, but I can’t let you stand in my way’ I looked at him and blushed “Yes, and I don’t really like that person so I’m not going” “You don’t like him? Who is it? Atobe? Mizuki?” “How do you know I don’t like them?” “Saa, it’s pretty obvious” He said, his eyes closed again “But if you’re going to the library after school we should go together” Fuji suggested “And maybe afterwards you can dump your secret admirer on your date?” “It’s not a date! Stop teasing me about it, I told you already I am not going” I said while hitting him lightly “Saa, I think you are going. You’re too nice to not go” “Fuji!” But all he did was laugh at my red face.
“I’ll be looking on the 2nd floor, I’ll be down when I’m finished” Kira said as she left to find some books on the 2nd floor from the library. “I’m going with her-nya” Eiji said as he jumped after Kira. This left me alone with Fuji. “So, where do you want to look first?” Fuji asked me “Well, I’m not sure yet so I’m just going to look around” I said while walking towards a bookcase. ‘No way I’m going to tell him I’m looking for romance books, too embarrassing’ I thought while looking through the stand ‘No, no, not that one. Is this something? Oh god no, how did this get here?’ I thought while putting a book back. A few shelves lower a book caught my eye ‘100 facts you know you’re in love and more’ (Me: Crappy title I know xD). ‘I guess this will do’ I walked a few cases further and ran into a person I’d never thought I’d see here. “Bunta!” I said while giving him a hug from behind and noticed Jirou standing next him “and Jirou! What are you doing here” “Huh? Ah Sumi-Chan!” Bunta screamed and picked me up “It’s been a while how have you been?” he asked “I’ve been great, how about you?” “Same thing, and to your question; I got send her by my mom to pick up a book for little brother and ran into Jirou on my way. He’s been following me ever since” He said while sweat dropping (Me: Yes, he really has a little brother, in fact, he has 2 :P) . “Hi Kasumi-chan!” Jirou screamed happy, he was clearly awake. Just when I was about to say something Bunta grabbed my book out of my hand “What did you get?” he asked smirking “Hey! Give it back” I said while trying to get my book back, but he held it out of my reach “ ‘100 facts you know you’re in love and more’?” He laughed while reading the title out loud “Bunta, stop being so embarrassing, people are looking” I said while still trying to get the book out of his hands “Are you in love Kasumi-Chan?” Jirou asked me “What? What makes you say that? I was just getting that book for my little sister!” I tried to come up with some excuses ‘If I admit, Bunta won’t stop bothering about me’ “You’re sister is 12, I don’t think she’s into this kind of stuff yet” Bunta said “Come on, tell your amazing best friend who you’re in love with. Is it me?” “Oh god no” I said while making a disgusted face “You’re awesome Bunta, but in no way I see myself like that with you” Jirou and Bunta just started laughing “Then is it your secret admirer you’re in love with? Weren’t you supposed to meet him today?” ‘I knew I shouldn’t have told him’ “No and yes, but I’m not going” I said while still trying to get the book from his hands, but still failed when suddenly someone else grabbed it from his hand. “Saa Marui-Kun, it’s not nice to tease a lady” Fuji said with my book in his hands. “Ah Fuji-Kun! It’s been a while” Jirou said to him excited “Ah! You were here on a date Sumi-Chan?” Bunta said while smirking at me “No, it’s nothing like-” “You could’ve just said so. We will leave you two love birds alone, come on Jirou. Bye Sumi-Chan, Fuji” Bunta said while walking away, smirking all the while “Bye Kasumi-Chan!” Jirou yelled “Let’s play a game soon Fuji-Kun, Bye!” And with that he followed Bunta “But it’s nothing like that!” I tried yelling at them, but they didn’t hear me. “Saa, I most certainly did walk into something interesting” Fuji said smiling. I walked to him and grabbed my out of his hand before he could look at it ‘Bunta might be worse, but Fuji can be a devil when it comes to things like this. Yuuta told me once he kept bugging him for over 3 months after seeing him with a girl one time’ “Yeah, thanks for the help Fuji” I said while backing away “I guess I should look around some more” I said walking away fast to find a quiet place to read without anyone bothering me.
‘Hmm’ I thought while reading the book. I’ve escaped from Fuji and found a nice quiet place to read, no one was here.
“ ‘You know you are in love when every time you start to think about the one you love, butterflies start flying in your stomach’ ”
‘Butterflies? Is that what that strange feeling is when I’m around Fuji?’
“ ‘You know you are in love when can't stop smiling every time you see that person’ ” ‘That is also true’ “ ‘You know you are in love when you think about that person all the time’ ” “Now I think about it, he has been on my mind all the time. But there’s no way that I… right?”I muttered to myself when suddenly;
“Who are you talking about?” I heard a voice say, I turned around and saw Fuji standing behind me. “What?” I asked and smiled to him while putting fast my book away and closed. “You don’t really need to hide your book, I’ve already seen it” he said while opening his eyes. “I don’t know what you’re talking about” I said blushing while looking to the ground and trying to walk away. But just when I was about to walk passed him he pushed me to the wall. “Fuji?” I said shocked, the book falling out of my hands as he held my writs tightly next to my head “What are you doing?” “Making sure you won’t get away” he said with his eyes still open and smirking. I got the same crazy feeling again, this time knowing for sure what it was. Fuji started laughing at my bright red face “You are so cute when you blush” he said while moving his lips to my neck and gave me a endless pecks all over it “I wonder how many times I’ve made you blush so far” he snickered at my reaction “Stop teasing me” I said while turning my head away, my face was even redder than before. “I am not even starting yet Kasumi and you’re already blushing?” He said, dropping the honorifics, and looking at my face. We were around the same high so I didn’t have to look up at him that much. I felt like I stared into his amazing eyes for hours, it was as if I got drawn within them and never could get away. “Fuji” I whispered and looked at his lips, slowly leaning in. This time it was his time to blush. Just as our lips were about to touch I could feel his grip on my wrists loosen. I tore myself away and started running, but I only got away for a few steps because me being me had to fall over a book that was lingering around on the floor. ‘Great Kasumi, just great. Out of all the time you had to be clumsy you chose to do it now’
I tried to stand up but before I could Fuji had me pinned to the floor with him on top of me. “You should know that I don’t like to be teased” he said while leaning in extra slowly “You should know that I am the only one to tease”. I blushed and looked him in the eyes “Stop teasing me” he smirked at me and finally our lips touched. It was as if everything didn’t matter anymore and everything was put into this moment. But just as I was about to kiss him back he pulled away, smiling. Which left me wanting for more. “You should’ve know not to tease me” he said. “Well if this is what I get if I tease you,” I said while putting one of my hands on his head “I should do it more often” I pulled him in for a kiss. This shocked him, but kissed me back right away. He put his hand on my cheek to kiss me deeper. If this was how love felt, I think I might be addicted. The kiss was so deep and passionate, I could feel his heart on my lips. Our lips felt like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly. It felt like as if we laid there for hours when I pulled away for air. He stood up and helped me. He pulled me into a hug “I love you” he whispered into my ear, which send shivers down my spine. He could feel it and laughed, his head went to my neck once again and kissed me at my soft spot. Which caused me to gasp and grab his hair to pull at it. “I guess you won’t let me go to my secret admirer now, would you?” I asked him while smiling. He looked at me and laughed “Not a chance” and with that he kissed me again.
Up until know, I still don’t know who my secret admirer was. But every time I bring it up, Eiji and Kira shot weird glances at each other, maybe they were behind it all? I don’t know. But that doesn’t matter since I got Fuji. He still teased me a lot though, but I don’t mind it as much, since he’ll always makes up for it. I still got to get used to all the death glares I get from his fan girls, but luckily I have friends who always stand up for me and I know that Fuji would stay around for a long time.
