"Got your letter?" you asked a fuming Draco. He shot his head up towards you, just realizing people were in the Common Room. "She WHAT?!" Anthony yelled. You watched as Anthony paced back and forth in front of his desk while you sat at a table in the front row in his classroom. "I dont believe love exists," you said to Elizabeth and Mark at dinner in the Great Hall. They stopped eating and looked at you after they heard what you had just randomly said.
"Yea, you get one too?" he asked still fuming. You nodded and walked over to him.
"My mother seems to think I would be good with you," you whispered towards him smirking, "or Zach Lemon." You walked back over to Mark and Elizabeth and smirked towards him.
He raised an eyebrow, "Yes, well I do think I am better then that Zach Lemon. Plus, my bloody mother thought you would be terrific for mr. Our mothers seemed to chat like I had suspected," Draco was smirking just like you now. You rolled your eyes, he was right, they did chat. You sighed and rubbed your forehead.
"Im NOT getting engaged, Im only 16 for goodness sakes!" you said as you threw up your hands in the air letting your letter fly out of your hands.
"And she said it didnt matter on love, she just wanted you to take care of your husband," Draco smirked and looked at you raising his eyebrows, "Sounds good to me."
Your eyes went wide, "Give me my letter!" You took the letter back and glared at him.
"Just saying what your mother wrote," Draco laughed. You sighed and looked towards everyone.
"Im tired Im going to bed," and with that you walked up to your dorm. You really didnt want to think about any of this, your mother couldnt always get her way.
"She wants me to get engaged," you repeated. You just had class with Anthony like always, after lunch. You stayed in the class while everyone left, to explain what your mother had said. And so far, he wasnt taking it lightly.
"Your 16! You cant get engaged THIS young! For goodness sakes, has our mother gone nutters?!" he stopped pacing and looked at you.
"She has always been nutters," you replied.
"True, true. But engaged, now that is just crossing the line!" he was now pacing again. You sighed.
"Oh, damn, you better head to class. Its almost starting," he said once he looked at the time. You nodded and stood up, leaving.
"Holly!" Anthony called towards you. You turned around. "Dont let mum force you into anything you dont want to do." You smiled and nodded. Anthony was so good to you, and you had truly missed him. You walked out the door and headed to your next class, History of Magic. How boring. You think Professor Binns would FINALLY realize that no one listens to him in class! Well, yes, anways. The rest of the day went on normally. But mostly you were just thinking about what your mother wanted. And you finally came to a steady conclusion. And you were gonna tell Elizabeth and Mark at dinner.
"What?" Elizabeth said from next to you.
"I dont believe in love," you replied. Mark practically choked on his food from across of you.
"How come?" Elizabeth asked confused.
"I dont see it in my parents. They dont love each other. Love is just a hoax. And if my mother wants me to get engaged, I think Im okay with it. Im not going to do it for love," you said looking up at the Great Hall ceiling where the bewitched sky and stars which glistened above.
"Are you serious?" Mark asked disbelievingly.
"Yea..."
Elizabeth smirked, "I have an idea." You looked at her confused.
"What?"
"Listen, it's really your only choice to marry Draco, because Zach Lemon likes Pansy Parkinson, so you have to become very good friends with Draco," she has mischief written all over her face.
"Um, okay. And where will that get me?" you asked confused.
"Your parents will then decide you guys are meant, approve of it, then you can finally get your mother to shut up, AND you can get great wealth, leadership, and love will have nothing to do with it!" Elizabeth said, proud of her idea. You nodded in understand meant. She did have a good idea, but would you do it? Did you really want to? I mean, this was Draco. You weren't gonna fall in love with him, because you didn't believe in it. So, basically you would be using him? So it's kind of revenge in a secret way.
"Elizabeth, we made truce though," you said to her.
"Yes, but we are Slytherins. And Slytherins love revenge," Elizabeth replied. And she was right, you all loved revenge. It was almost in your blood for goodness sakes! But he would never be able to find out, because he will know everything about what's going on, and you wouldn't be hiding anything! You would start to be better friends, both of your parents would batter you into getting engaged, you will pick each other, not fall in love, and you would get your mother off your back. And the only hidden part in there, was that you did this for revenge. Revenge against Draco, revenge against your mother, revenge against the whole Slytherin population. You could finally stick it to everyone, and prove you weren't meant to be in Slytherin in the first place!
"Ill do it."
(Me: "smells like teen spirit" by nirvana rocks my world beyond belief.)
"So what do I need to do again?" you asked.
Elizabeth rolled her eyes, "Go down to the Common Room and start conversation with Draco bloody Malfoy!" She said for the fifth time. You shifted from your seat on your bed.
"I dunno..."
"Holly! Come on! You said you were in!" Elizabeth said sitting right next to you. Mark laughed slightly and rolled his eyes.
"Mark! If your gonna laugh I will snap your broom stick in half and I can just push you out of my dorm and make you fall on the stairs so they will become a slide and you slide down it HURTING YOUR ARSE!" you said as Mark just laughed more. You rolled your eyes and stood up in a huff.
"No! Dont hurt me!" Mark said as he jumped onto Elizabeth for protection.
"Mark get off of me! And Holly, go downstairs NOW! We will be up here waiting for you," Elizabeth said while trying to push Mark off of her, "Mark! Get OFF!" You sighed and left your dorm, closing the door just before you heard a loud thud and Mark saying "ouch". You rolled your eyes while laughing and headed down to the Common Room to have a chat with Mr. Malfoy.
You slowly descended the stairs, taking your time. When you finally reached the Common Room, you noticed some people sitting at some tables doing homework, and Draco Malfoy sitting on the couches near the fire with a bunch of people surrounding him. You couldn't talk to him with everyone around him. You looked at the clock and noticed that it was 8 o'clock, everyone must be in their houses now, no one could be roaming the halls. You took in a deep breathe
"Fuck pride..." You smiled and walked over to Malfoy and his posse.
"Hey, everyone," you smiled towards them all, they nodded towards you.
"Draco," you said sweetly turning to him, "Could I talk to you?" you asked him.
He smirked, "Okay, talk."
"Alone," you said eyeing everyone else.
"I dunno, Holly, Im kind of busy," He said leaning back in the couch sighing, then looking back up at you.
You smirked, you could play this too, "Really. Well, its about that letter last night. You know how your moth-" you started but was interrupted when Dracos eyes went wide opened and he grabbed your arm dragging you out of the Common Room and into a nearby hall.
"What in the bloody hell are you trying to pull!" He hissed towards you.
"I just wanted to talk," you replied innocently tilting your head to the side.
"And almost told everyone about the little misfortune that our parents want!" he said angrily.
"Oh, really? Woops," you smirked, "I would just hate to ruin your reputation." by now you were having so much fun!
He growled, "okay, now that you have my attention, what do you want!?"
"I think we should become better friends," you replied simply, looking bored.
"Yea, you defiantly showed it," he said standing up straight and leaning against the wall.
"Im serious, we could help each other," you replied walking over to him and facing in front of him.
"And how is that?" he asked raising an eyebrow.
"You get higher status, praised more, and I can get my mother off my back. Along with a few other people..." you said with a smirk playing on your face.
"No," he said simply pushing himself off the wall and walking back into the Common Room.
"Draco, your parents will be very disappointed with you," you said calmly.
He stopped walking and turned around, "What?!"
"Your parents will be very upset with you," you said again walking pasted him, "I mean, you wont get engaged. Even worse, you wont be friends with me like your parents want," you kept walking, and was just about to enter the Common Room when he grabbed your arm and spinned you around.
"I dont know what your playing at, Trisken, but I suppose I will go along with it," he said glaring.
You smiled and shook your arm loose and walked into the Common Room, "Nice working with you Draco."

Yes, well I just want to say, that I shouldn't make anymore mistakes like I did! And ummm, I think I will have another quiz up by Friday the latest. But if not, I probably won't have one until Tuesday! Sorry! Yea see, tomorrow I'm suppose to visit my aunt, and Friday my brother is flying out to visit my OTHER aunt and I am going off to camp for the rest of the weekend. And Monday I guess I'm getting some kid of surprise! Yay! I love surprises ^_^
