Here I am looking at myself in the mirror contemplating about changing my outfit the girls picked out for me today. Maybe I should change, I mean it will be kind of cold tonight and I’m in a purple strapless dress that goes to my knees. Sure my jacket will cover it up and keep me somewhat warm, but what if it doesn’t go with the dress or my purple shoes. Plus what about my hair, should I straighten it or keep it like it is? I then stop looking in the mirror and lay on my bed with my hands covering my face.

Why am I so nervous about my date with Robert? I’ve gone on numerous dates with him and I’ve felt fine, what is it about this time that makes me nervous? Maybe it could be because this is a real serious date. I mean our past dates have been serious, but they’ve been pretty playful also. Plus I’ve never had to dress up on one of our dates before. He even told me that I should even ditch the glasses despite me being somewhat blind without them at night.

When I told Ryan and Josh they kind of joked about how this was one of Robert and I’s first serious dates. They talked about how Robert had planned this date so we could take our relationship to the next level. They even joked about how tonight Robert was going to be giving me a promise ring or something similar seeing how it’s too early for him to propose to me. I then continue to get ready and I head out into the living room to get the honest truth from the two people who would never lie to me about how I look.

“So guys, what do you think,” I ask Ryan and Josh while standing in front of them blocking the TV.

“Turn around Aubrey,” Josh says and I do slowly so they could get a good look at me. They then both get up and walk around me looking at me before sitting back down.

“Well,” I said wanting to know what they think.

“You look good,” Ryan said.

“Really,” I asked smiling.

“Yeah, I mean I know we have this rule about none of us hooking up with each other but I would seriously consider breaking that rule and keep you for myself,” Josh said and I didn’t know whether to take that as a compliment or be slightly grossed out by that comment.

“I have to agree with Josh. If I didn’t know you and was seeing you for the first time I would think you’re some sort of fashionista, or whatever they are called and then take you home with me.” Then Ryan got up and started looking at me. “Holy crap Aubrey.”

“What,” I said kind of freaking out.

“You’re wearing make-up and no one is here to put it on for you, and it actually looks good,” he said.

“Let me see,” Josh said getting up to look at me. “Wow I gotta admit it does look pretty good, and this is someone who has 3 sisters and has slept with a few make-up artists.”

“Thanks guys you don’t know how hard it was for me to find a YouTube video instructing me how to do this or how many times I had to replay it. Now I know why I only wear make-up during Canucks games, it takes too damn long to put on,” they start to laugh and I head back to my room to put my jewelry on. I then come back to the living room.

“So you two think I look good,” I ask them.

“Yeah except for the shoes,” Ryan says.

“I have to agree. Although I don’t know where you’re going I don’t think the place is going to allow you to wear sandals that are two sizes too big,” Josh says and I indeed look down to see that my I have my lounge sandals on. Just then the doorbell rang.

“Crap that’s Robert, what do I do,” I said staring to freak out. That’s when Josh came over towards me. He put both his hands on my shoulders before talking to me, which helped me calm down a little.

“First you need to calm the f--- down. You’re acting like you’ve never been on a date before, or one of those girls we always make fun of because they freak out over every little thing. Now you’re going to put your shoes on while me and Ryan buy you some time by talking to Robert, alright.” I just nodded.

Who would have thought that Josh would be the voice of reason? He lets me go and I head to my room to put my pumps on. I then grab my little jacket and put it on and head to the mirror. I look at myself and start messing with my hair, I then decide the best thing for it is to place it behind my shoulders. I then grab my little clutch that Megan let me borrow and I head to the living room.

I hear Robert talking to Ryan and Josh but that all stopped when I appeared behind couch. At first you see Ryan and Josh turning around while Robert still goes on and on. Then Robert turns around and finally sees me.

“Wow,” was all he said which caused me to smile a little.

“So I look alright,” I ask him. He then gets up and walks to me. While he is doing this I’m admiring him in his suit and tie. It reminded me of when he would wear suits on elimination nights back on Looking for Love, ah good times. He finally makes it to me and is standing in front of me.

“You look amazing,” he then lightly kisses me on the lips and all I can do is smile a somewhat whispers thanks. “So are you ready to go,” I just nod and he grabs my hand and we start to walk out. I tell Ryan and Josh that I’ll see them later and they just nod and Robert and I leave my apartment and head to his car.

We finally make it his car and like the gentleman he is he opened the car door for me, helped me into his car, and closed the door for me. He finally got into the car and started heading our way to the restaurant. I should mention that on the way to the restaurant, he held my hand the entire way.

“So can I have any hint about where we’re going tonight,” I ask him.

“Nope,” he said while also smiling at me.

“Come on I dressed up and I’m practically blind since I don’t have my glasses on, the least you could do is tell me where we’re going.”

“Nope.”

“Is nope all you can say?”

“Yep,” I then roll my eyes at him which causes him to laugh. After that we make small talk about how we both think the night is going to be and we finally make it to the restaurant and I am just shocked.

Here we are at probably the best restaurant in all of Vancouver. I heard it takes months to even get a reservation here, how did Robert swing this last minute. So Robert pulls up and the valet comes and opens my door and Robert holds out his hand to help me out of the car. Once we’re both out Robert puts his hands around me and we begin walking but I notice there are so many flashbulbs going off and it’s causing me to not really see anything.

“Hey just ignore the paparazzi,” Robert told me.

“It’s kind of hard with them yelling. Oh not to mention that I can’t really see anything,” he then laughed and we continued into the restaurant. Once we got in it seemed nice.

“Ah Mr. Pattinson lovely to see you, we have your table ready right this way,” this guy says and we follow him to our table which was kind of away from everyone else. Once we’re seated we looked at the menu and I am amazed.

“So you see anything you like,” Robert asks me.

“Um everything on this menu looks and sounds amazing. I don’t know how I’m going to choose. Plus I was wondering how you got a reservation here, I mean this is the best restaurant in town and it’s always booked. How did you swing this?”

“Oh I have my ways,” he said trying to be cryptic and I just looked at him trying to get the truth from him. “Okay so I might have made my manager get us this table but don’t ask me how he did it.” I just nodded.

Our waiter came and took our orders and after he came back with our drinks and bread he left us alone to talk.

“I still don’t know how you managed this Robert but it’s amazing.”

“Thanks, I had to do something special seeing as we won’t be seeing each other for a couple of days.”

“I know, I feel as though I might cry,” just saying that caused me to tear up a little. That caused Robert to move closer to me and started to hug me.

“Aubrey it’ll be fine. It’s just for a couple of days, plus we’ll call and text each other so much that the people around us will probably be sick of us.” That caused me to laugh a little. “That’s better,” he said. I figured now that I was done crying he would have moved back to his seat but he stayed right beside me.

Even when our food came out he still sat beside me. So like every other time we eat out, we stole each other’s food and then kind of fed each other as if we were babies. I think that’s just something we do no matter how nice and romantic the restaurant is. Still it’s something that makes our relationship special and I wouldn’t change it. So while we were eating we kept talking about our plans. He was kind of nervous about spending Thanksgiving with Kristen’s family but I told him it would be fine. We then talked about how nervous and excited I was about my trip to Edmonton. He then joked about me professing my love to anyone he would be fine which caused him to laugh. After talking about more random and funny things it was time for us to get a little serious.

“Hey Robert, I know you’re cool with Caleb and everything, which I’m totally grateful for but I was wondering if you were okay with me staying at his place when I go down to Raleigh for the All-Star game in January. His roommate will be there, and I would probably be sleeping on the couch. But if you’re not comfortable with it, I could totally stay at a hotel and…” Robert then basically shut my mouth so I couldn’t say anything else.

“Aubrey calm down. You know I’m fine with you staying at Caleb’s. Plus he promised me that he would keep Patrick away from you,” which caused us both to laugh. “Still I have something to talk to you about.” He finally let go so that could talk.

“What is it?”

“Well you’ve read the books and know that in the final one that Bella and Edward sleep together Well I found out today that we were going to be shooting that scene sometime soon and I just wanted to see if you’re okay with it. I mean it’s going to be strange for me sleeping with Kristen and I know the magazines will probably make it out to be something it isn’t but I promise you that it’s just for the movie and it I could have a say I wouldn’t…” It was my turn to shut Robert up.

“Robert I know about that and as much as I really don’t want you to, you have to. It’s a major part of the series and the fans really want to see it. Besides the way I see it is that you may be down in Brazil working on a very romantic part of the movie with Kristen but ultimately you’re coming home to me.”

“That’s right,” just then Robert kissed me and I really didn’t want it to end, but sadly it ended. We then finished up our food and Robert paid for it not even allowing me to help out with the tip or anything. After that we headed back outside still being photographed while waiting for Robert’s car. His car finally came and like before he was the perfect gentleman and opened the door and helped me in before getting in and driving back to my place.

We got to my place and we walked back up to my apartment and just stood in front of the door. As much as I wanted Robert to stay here I knew that he had to get ready to leave for L.A. tomorrow so here we are just standing in front of my door and I begin crying again.

“Aubrey it’s fine, we’ll see each other soon,” he says while hugging me.

“I know, but it sucks. This is one of the first times we’ll be away from each other for a few days. I wish neither of us had to go.”

“I know I do too, but I did promise Kristen that I would go and I know you, Megan, and Alexis have been planning this trip for awhile now. We’ll see each other soon.” I then look up at him before saying anything.

“I guess you’re right. Man I feel like a dumb hypocrite, I use to make fun of girls who would cry because they are leaving their boyfriends and now I’m one of those girls. Still it’s gonna suck tomorrow not seeing during your off-time when I get off work.” He then wiped a tear that was coming down my face.

“Aubrey, as cheesy as this sounds, don’t think of this as a goodbye. Think of this as a see you soon. Monday I’ll be back in Vancouver and we’ll have so much to talk about. Plus when I come back I might even have a surprise for you,” I started to smile when he said that. “That’s better, it’s good to see you smile Aubrey. It’s one of the first things that made me fall for you.”

“Thanks, I guess I should let you go pack and get ready for tomorrow,” he just nodded and I hugged him again. “Have a good trip Robert and try not to fall into the inevitable food coma on Thanksgiving,” he laughed at that.

“I’ll try as long as you don’t come back with a new love in Taylor what’s-his-face and keep your friends in line.”

“Okay,” he then kissed me one last time before we told each other and love you and hugging one last time before he left. After that I walked back into my place to see that Ryan and Josh were still up. I gave them the condensed version of what happened on our date and then I went to my room and change into some pajamas. I looked at my phone and saw that I had numerous text messages, so I replied to all of them before getting into my bed. I was tempted to go online and see if they had anything up on Robert’s and I’s date, but I was too tired. So I put my phone on its charger, set my alarm, turned off my light, and went to sleep just thinking about Robert.
