P r o m p t : Were you lying all the time? Was it just a game to you?

He couldn't believe it. Everything he knew, everything he believed was shattered in just a couple of seconds.

His baby blue orbs glanced at the girl who was sitting across from him, on one of wooden chairs. Quickly, before she could realise he had been looking at her, he averted his gaze. With one of his hands, he started rubbing his forehead, in an attempt to calm down; he was aggravated and he had a good reason to be.

He had planned everything, in order to make today a fantastic and memorable day for both him and her.

He bought a dozen of her most favorite flowers and made reservations for one of the town's well-known restaurants. Not to mention that shinny, gold ring with the small, yet so beautiful diamond sitting on top of it, currently resting inside his pocket.

All of this had cost a lot, yet he didn't give a damn. He just wanted was to make [Name] enjoy this day to the fullest and make sure she'd remember this day forever.

"Naruto..."

Her soft and warm voice reached his ears, putting an end to his thoughts. Raising his head, his blue eyes made contact with her [e/c] ones. The smallest hint of a smile was visible on her lips, making him even more furious than before. How could she be smiling at a time like this!? Was she playing around with him!?

"It's not my fault; you need to understand-"

"Understand what exactly?"

One of his hands headed up towards his hair, tangling his fingers in his blond locks. Letting out a sigh, he told himself to relax; otherwise, he would probably do something he'd later regret. With his eyebrows furrowed, he got up and started pacing back and forth, between the sofa he was previously sitting and the small table.

The [h/c]-haired girl still sat on the chair, looking intensively at him without saying anything. She was calm and composed, as if nothing was wrong.

Naruto turned and looked at her, his eyes filled with sorrow and grief. He shook his head and finally voiced his thoughts.

"You just told me you are done with our relationship and...and I don't know what to do or what to think!"

Blinking one or two times, [Name] cleared her throat and attempted to speak. However, Naruto's deep voice interrupted her; he wasn't done. He wanted to say more, to get everything out of his chest!

"We've been together for over a year and I thought you were happy. That this relationship was going to take us somewhere and that it wasn't just a stupid crush, but something more meaningful!"
"I-"

"I wanted...I wanted to propose to you. Tell you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you..."

Her [e/c] eyes widened, her face finally showing that she wasn't a lifeless robot and that she had feelings. Forming her hands into fists, she looked down at the floor, not knowing what to say to the boy.

"I thought I knew you and that you loved me, that you'd also want to be with me."

Naruto bent down in front of her, lifting her head up to look at him. Sighing, he asked what he wanted to ask right from the start.

"What happened?"

Looking into his eyes, the only thing she could do was tell him the truth. Even though, the words she spoke, broke his heart into a million pieces.

"I fell in love with someone else..."
