The two of you are at long last home, after having listened to Kyo's incessant ramblings about how he was someday going to beat your face into a bloody pulp and all that.
Doesn't the d*mn cat ever shut up? His voice is seriously grating my ears. Why can't something useful ever come out of his mouth?
"And one of these days, I'm gonna..."
Punch me in the face, kick me onto my back, bash me up... so what else is new?
"Can you ever shut up for a change? Or do you like to listen to the sound of your voice that much?"
"That's it! You're asking for it!"
He, predictably, raises a fist to your face. As usual, you catch it before he can do anything. And send your fist flying into his face, knocking him to the ground. He gets up quickly, gets into a stance and sends daggers in your direction. You don't have time for this. There are better things to do than quarrel with him. Producing a leek, you stick it in his mouth. He faints. A tried and true method of getting this cat to shut up.
"Oh, back so soon?"
It is Shigure, sticking his head out of his room. He takes a glance at Kyo, who from his angle, is ready to fight.
"Boys, if you're going to fight, please don't do it in the house. My poor house is still feeling the pangs of your last battle. It has feelings too, and somebody has to pay for the repairs, you know."
"Ah yes, about that, he's currently eating leek right now. Shigure, we need to talk."
"Oh?"

At long last, you and Koneki reach home. The whole journey has been the two of your eyeing each other cautiously, both itching for the inevitable. Almost running to the courtyard at the back of the place, you drop your bag carefully near the back door and watch Koneki do the same.
"You ready for this?"
"Ready as I'll ever be. And I'll beat you again, this time."
"Hn. Good luck. I need to repay you for that comment you made earlier."
"Right. Bring- it- on-, you little nezu."
"And so I will. Hya!"
You sigh heavily, after hearing the familiar sounds of a fight in your backyard.
I take it that the two of them are home now. As if it weren't obvious enough. Well, it's hopeless I guess. I can never learn my lines at this rate. I hope they calm down soon. Or... I could always...
You laugh evilly, with a diabolical scheme in mind.
Oh I can't wait...
After a long and tiring battle, it ends in a draw. True, you didn't exactly wipe the smirk off of Koneki's face the way you had hoped, but it is off nevertheless and looking at your shinai, it is still intact, at least. Not that you used it for very long, and neither did Koneki. In your petty squables like these, it is easier to let the fists to do the talking, or have a free-for-all shiai. Who really cares what your older sister thinks about it not being very lady-like and all that? And besides, you only do this when nobody's watching anyway.
"OK... I'm sorry for the comment I made earlier."
"No problem, but do you always have to hit so hard?"
"Oh, sorry about that too. The fanclub girls were on my mind."
"Don't even begin to compare me to those girls."
"Aww... come on, nezu. You know you want to be a part of the fanclub... I can see it in your eyes..."
Just great. I think I'll hit her harder next time.

I'm bored. I've finished all my homework. I was hoping for more of a challenge with it but I guess that's because I took all the easy classes. What else can I do?
"Ah, yes! Why, of course!" You say aloud, whilst smacking your right fist in your left palm.
"This is going to be so much fun...heh heh heh..."
"What's going to be so much fun?"
Eep. Busted. I knew I was laughing too loud...d*mn, Nezuko must've heard...
"Oh nothing, nothing." You dismiss it with a hand motion, shooing her away, almost.
"...Only just the perfect revenge..."
"Koneki... you're not thinking what I think you're thinking, are you?"
Geez, must she always use that threatening tone of voice? What I'm planning is harmless, after all...mostly.
You turn around and look at Nezuko. Yup, her expression is looking as threatening as her voice did a second ago. And she has an eyebrow raised too, questioningly.
"What? Huh? Oh, oh of course not, Miss Nezuko!"
As usual, you ruin the mood with a maniacal laugh.
"Well now, I must be off!"
"HEY! They're my friends!!!"
"Hmm... all right... let me pause to reconsider. ...Nah."
And with that you dash off into the night and not long afterwards, you hear a cry of,
"KO- NE- KIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!"
"Ah, well. Time to work my magic!"
You are now in the shape of a cat. The bracelet that each Masoh who bears the Zodiac Curse wears not only allows them to remain human when hugged by a person of the opposite gender, but also allows them to manipulate and remain in control of their curse. Of course, the bracelets are not quite powerful enough to seal the zodiac within for good, so the animal within must be let out some time. However, it is of the zodiac Masoh's choosing.

It has been a good night. You've killed off a lot of rodents that plagues the lands in and around Hina's home, your home. Still in the form of a cat, you have a few mice in your jaw and with the stealth and agility of the cat you are, you walk into the house.
"Koneki, don't tell me you're bringing dead rats into the house again."
With a few mice in your jaw, you guiltily drop them to the floor.
Great, now Hina knows. Wasn't I being silent enough? Why is it that every Masoh has such excellent hearing? Although... that does help me out a lot too. But why does everyone use it against little ol' me?
"No I wasn't... really, I wasn't!"
"Koneki... how many times have I told you? I will not tolerate having dead rats in the house, do you hear?"
"Awww... you're no fun, Hina..."
"And you're not the one who has to wake up to the smell of dead rats every morning, wafting from the room next to you."
"But you don't understand, it's the expressions! The expressions, I tell you! They're always priceless!"
"Koneki..."
"Fine, I won't kill rats. I'll-"
"And no dead rabbits either."
"Hn."
You pout at this, well, as close as you can get to a pout when you're a cat anyway.
"Or any dead rodents...or roadkill..."
"Fine, be a Miss Bossyboots then. Tch."
You transform back (clothes intact, mind) and stomp off to your room but not before putting the rats in an ice-cream container in the fridge. That way, she won't have to smell them then.

The kids are asleep now and after hearing what Yuki has just told you, you decide to ring Hatori up with the news. Slinking out of your room, you tiptoe to the phone and pick it up. You dial Hatori's number. He answers with a simple greeting.
"Ah, Ha'ri... there's something I need to tell you... on this lovely, but, oh so lonely night. The breeze is warm and how I wish for your company. Oh Ha'ri, I-"
"Goodbye."
"Ha'ri. Ha'ri? No, wait!"
But it is too late, Hatori has already hung up on you. A little hurt, you dial his number again. He picks it up but doesn't answer.
"Ha'ri... I was only kidding..."
"*sigh* What is it?"
"Do you remember that dream?"
"Go on."
"Something happened to Yuki and the others at school today. Something along those lines. I think the time is upon us, don't you think? It's showing now, more and more-"
"Are you going to get to the point soon?"
"I was getting there... a girl hugged Kyo today and do you know what? He stayed as a human! Isn't that great, Ha'ri? There may be hope for us yet!"
"Pervert. There will never be any hope for you."
"Come on, Ha'ri. Tell me what you think!"
"I think you should go to bed. If I'm not mistaken, your editor should be arriving tomorrow."
