You fell to your knees. /This...cant be...happening.../ //This isnt...true!// you thought. //I...made a promise!...I promised...that I would...get revenge...for my father...and brother! Now...this cant be real!// you thought back to when you were a little girl...
*FLASHBACK*
You walked up the hill. You looked at the three crosses you had made out of sticks, for your father, and brother, and all the other lost souls in the massacre. You looked down at what you were holding. Some flowers. Every day for the past few months you had put fresh flowers on their graves. Each day you had hoped that the person who had killed them would get what they deserved, but as hard as anyone tried, no one knew who the culprit was. You walked up to the graves. You felt a cold breeze on your face. You fell down to your knees. You took the old flowers and tossed them into the wind, then laid the fresh ones down in their place. You felt tears falling down your cheeks. /Why cant they find him?/ you asked. /Who is he? Where is he?/ suddenly you felt your sadness turn to rage. /Why?!/ you half shouted at the sky. /Why did he do this?!/ You looked back down at the graves. /I swear! I swear I will get my own revenge on that murderer! I swear on my fathers blood, on my brothers blood.../ you grabbed a small sharp rock sitting beside you, and then sliced open the palm of your hand. /On my blood! I will make him suffer, as much as hes made me suffer! I swear.../

//No...I wont give up!// you thought, hot tears streaming down your cheeks once more. //I cant give up! I promised I would make him pay! I cant die, not before he does!// you thought. /Hahaha! Give in now, Rezzel! Before I kill you!/ Akunadin said as he walked up to you. /Or will I kill you?/ he said stopping infront of you. You didnt look up. He wasnt going to see you crying. If you were going to die, you were going to die with dignity, but you would take him down shamefully! /Maybe I should hand you over to Pharaoh, and let him decide what to do with you! Oh it would be fun, to watch two great conflicts come together in that little idiot mind of his! Love...or justice? Hahahahaha!/ he laughed. You hear something outside, but youre not sure what it is. It gets louder, coming towards you. It seems to come into the room, but you dont want to look up and see. Evidently nothing is there because Akunadin continues, /I think I will let Atemu have you. Well see what the great Pharaoh chooses. Although I dont think it matters, because I will kill the Pharaoh, anyway, and take the throne!/ He starts laughing manically, but then stops when he hears a voice. /Planning to kill me off, Akunadin?/ Atemu growls. You look over at where hes standing. //Atemu? Whats he doing here? Oh no! Dont tell me, hes come to kill me!// you think. /Ph-Ph-Pharaoh! Wh-wh-what are y-you d-doing here?/ Akunadin stutters, stumbling backwards. /That is of no concern,/ you look back down, hoping he wont notice you, as he starts towards Akunadin. /Ph-Pharaoh, I-/ Akunadin stutters. /I dont want to hear any lame excuses Akunadin. I just want to fight!/ Atemu says, and you see out of the corner of your eye he summons the three Gods. /Let's see who deserves the throne!/ You want to back away, into a corner, over to the door, anywhere, but you cant find the will to move. /I-I-I...Pharaoh.../ you hear Akunadin stumbles, pleading for mercy with his tone, but then it changes. He sounds ruthless, loving the idea of fighting for the throne. /Alright Pharaoh, Ill fight you. And Ill win!/ You hear them both draw their swords. /ATTACK!/ they both cream and you hear the Gods clash with Akunadins Ka, as the swords clash and they begin fighting. /Im dead! Cmon, legs! Move!/ you plead with yourself, but you still dont have the will to move. You then hear something beside you. You look up and see Bakuras gorgeous face and beautiful silky white hair. /Bakura!/ you cry, throwing yourself around him. /Bakura, youre okay! I thought you were dead!/ He wraps his arms around you. /I could never die, as long as youre still alive,/ he whispers. You feel tears streaming down your cheeks again. //Thank you Ra! Thankyou so much!// you think over and over. /Rezzel, we have to go!/ Bakura says, finally letting go of you. He stands you up and you hear something. /Hi-YAAAAAAAARH!/ you hear Akunadin scream in pain. You look around Bakura and see Atemu had sliced Akunadins arm open. He was rolling around, clutching his arm in pain. He had dropped his sword when he fell. Atemu picked it up and walked back to Akunadin. He points it at Akunadins neck, glaring at him for afew moments, then says, /Ill deal with you later,/ and drops the sword so the hilt of the sword hits his head, knocking him unconscious. You look back at Bakura, /Lets go. Now,/ he says, but you take less than two steps when Bakura stops dead. /Dont move, thief!/ you hear Atemu growl at him. You look at Atemu. He has his sword pointing directly at Bakuras heart, from his back. You look at Bakuras face. He looks dead scared. /Atemu-!/ you start but he cuts you off, /Rezzel, Im disappointed with you. I dont know what to do with you.../ /Atemu, please!/ you plead. You wrap your arms around Bakura. /Please dont kill Bakura. I love him./ Atemu seems totally shocked by this news. He lowers his sword. /You...love him?/ he asks in disbelief. You feel tears forming in your eyes again //Damn Im crying too much,// you think, but you nod your head. /I...eh...uh.../he stumbles. You look at him, pleading with your eyes. /I...Rezzel...I...I dont know what to say!/ he stutters. /Say you wont kill him...please?/ you plead. Bakura looks down at you in shock about what you just said, but you dont take your eyes off Atemu. /Please?/ you plead again. You watch Atemu thinking it over. Two major conflicts forming in his mind. You shut your eyes, and hang your head. //Hes not going to give in...// you think. //Hes going to kill him...// you then hear Atemu put his sword back in its sheath. You look up. Hes got his head down, but you can tell hes smiling. /I wont kill you, Bakura. If you promise never to steal from me again,/ Atemu says, placing his hand on Bakuras shoulder. Bakura spins around and looks at him shocked. He pauses for afew moments still trapped in his stupor, but then smiles and nods. /You have my word, Ill never steal from you again,/ Bakura says solemnly. /Then Ill never kill you. I could never kill anyone you love Rezzel,/ Atemu. /Thankyou, Atemu!/ you say, and wrap your arms around him. You blush and then realize what your doing. You quickly back away and stand with Bakura. /We need to go Rezzel, Ill go get us a horse,/ Bakura says and leaves the room. You watch him out and then feel Atemu take your hand. /Are you sure you want to do this Rezzel. The life of a thief? Your mother will be devastated,/ he says. You turn and face. /Im sure, and I think she already knows. But just in case, please dont tell her Atemu. Shell find out in good time,/ you say. /Rezzel, I.../ he starts. /Atemu. I cant stay with you. I love Bakura, so Ill thank you, but I just cant stay,/ you cut him off. You then go in and kiss him lightly on the lips. You break the kiss and step back. You blush and look around the room. You then notice something wrong. /Akunadin! Hes gone!/ you half shout. Atemu spins around. /Rezzel!/ you hear from outside. Atemu looks back at you. /Leave, now. Youll be safer with Bakura,/ Atemu says with great difficulty. You nod and run out. You see Bakura standing there with a black horse. He helps you on and then gets on behind you. He kicks the horse into motion. You ride out of the palace and into the desert. /Bakura, I thought you were dead? What happened to you?/ you ask. He pauses pondering his answer. //What did happen?// he wonders...
