The carriage ride took about five minutes, and was fairly quiet. When you finally got to school some old lady came out and yelled at you for not being with the first years. Apparently you were suppose to take a boat ride, but what ever. After she had had a good yell, she took you away from Liam, and brought you to a room to await the rest of the first years.

A Unknown Room at Hogwarts

"Um Lady? What's up?" You asked.
"What do you mean 'What's up?" the lady asked.
She was a tall thin lady who looked like she sucked lemons for fun.

You know, what is so bad about lemons, they don't taste that bad, infect they taste quite good with sugar.

Yes but if you do it for fun you've got to be screwy.

Voice in my head, you've got a point.

'Course I do, I'm psychic like that.

Realy? That's so cool!

No I'm not and shut up, and stop talking to me. This lady's getting mad at you.

And indeed the lady was, she seemed to have asked you a question, and was now proceeding to get quite angry.
" Beg pardon ma'am." you apologized, figuring you'd catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
The now quite angry woman paused, than started to calm.
"Its ok, your probably just excited about starting a new school year. right?" she asked.
"Umm, yeah, sure." secretly thinking how dense this old lady was.
"Now as I was asking, what did you mean by 'what's up'?" she asked.
"I meant, what is going on. Why did I need to ride on some stupid boat, and why can't I sit with Lia....." at this point you were interrupted by a big man coming in.
" Erm Paron IcGonegel but I'v brrought em fers-ears fer der soren." The big man announced.
"Thank you Hagrid, Miss Byrne and I will be out monetarily. "She replied to 'Hagrid', than turning to you, "Please try not to frighten the poor things." and with that you exited the room and went into the Entrance Hall.
"Quite!" she called. "Now first Years, you are here, waiting in this hall because very soon you will be sorted. As You may or may not know there are four Houses. Gryffindor, Hufflepuf, Revenclaw, and Slytherin. These houses will be your home and family whilst you are at Hogwarts. Each house has its own dorms, two prefects, and a house table in the Great Hall where you are to eat your meals. While here we ask you to strive your best to be the best student possible. Any triumphs will earn you house points, and any failures will cause you to lose some. The house with the most points by the end of the year will win the house cup. You are to be devoted to your house, just as you would be devoted to your family and friends. Oh and just because your family is from one house does not mean you will be there too.
"Now I would Ask you to line up, and we shall enter the Great Hall. Oh miss Byrne, please come to the front and lead." when she mentioned your name you came out of your ravine, and proceeded to the front. you had unconsciencely drifted away while she was explaining the houses, as you already knew all that.
"Now, Follow Me!!" and with that she opened the doors and you started down the aisle up to the staff table and the hat.
The Great Hall was beautiful with all of its candles, cutlery, and life.
Everyone was talking, loudly, as you and the first years made your way down the aisle to the hat and stool waiting to sort you into Hogwarts, and your new lives.
