"I'm bored. I'm bored. I'm bored. I'm bored..." I babbled, rolling over on my back and resting my chin on Draco's chest. We were laying on the carpeted floor of my room, two weeks after the guitar incident, being idiots. "Shut up," he stated, ruffling my hair slightly with his hand. "But I am..." I whined, turning back onto my stomach and making puppy eyes at him. "So what?" Draco said, trying not to smile. "So you're boring me." I replied, as if it were the most obvious thing. Ha. This is fun. "And you're boring me," he said, continuing the vicious cycle of stupidity we were caught in. It felt like just another lazy summer afternoon, except I wasn't alone. I was with Draco Malfoy, and that supposedly makes a huge difference "Well, what is there to do?" Draco asked finally, yawning. "I don't know. This is your house, so you should." I said, prodding his stomach. "Don't poke me," Draco complained, shoving my hand aside. "But there's nothing else to do but poke you. And Im hot..." I said, laying my head down on him. "Yes, you are," Draco said, smirking. "I don't mean it like that, imbecile," I said, rolling my eyes. "Hey, do you have a pool or something? A place this big with everything can't possibly not have one... "Hmmm. We actually do," Draco said after awhile, sitting up. "Okay, then let's go swimming," I said, standing and stretching. "But..." Draco started to say. "No buts," I said, pulling out my small black bikini from the dresser. Hahaha. He forgot about our bet. "... I don't know how to swim," he finished, giving me a slightly embarrassed look.

"Well, I'll teach you. And besides, it's not like I'll let you drown," I said, changing into my swimsuit. I really don't care if he sees anymore. Hmmm. Odd... "Or will I?" I said, smiling evilly. Draco sat on the floor contentedly, acting as if he were viewing a strip show. "It's nothing you havent seen before," I muttered, smacking him lightly on the head. "Yeah, but it's a pleasure every time," Draco replied, grinning smugly. "Ah, just shut up already. Do you have anything to wear?" I called from the bathroom, pulling a dark green towel with a silver "M" initialed on it off the rack. "Uh, yeah, I think so." Draco replied slowly. "Well then hurry up and change. I'll be waiting in here." I said, wrapping the towel around my waist. "Alright. Hold on." He said, sighing and exiting my room. Gee, I wonder why he's being so obedient. It's not like Draco. Maybe he has something evil planned up his sleeves... I sat down on the couch, contemplating my safety. "Okay, let's go now," Draco called from the doorway, dressed in a pair of black swim trunks, looking gorgeous as ever. Do not drool... do not drool... I cleared my throat, nodded curtly and followed him out the door.

"So where is it?" I asked, breaking the slightly awkward silence between Draco and I as we headed down yet another flight of stairs. This is going to be an endless journey. "Just down another hall and to the left," he replied, pulling me along by the hand. "God, does your house get any bigger?" I said, hastening my pace to keep up with him. "Yep. You haven't even seen half of it yet." Draco said amiably, as we reached some frosted-glass doors where I supposed the pool was located at. "Here we are," Draco announced unnecessarily, pushing the doors open to reveal a giant and sparkling crystal-blue pool. The calm waves reflected the lights on the ceiling and walls, glimmering with a liquid ambience. The floor around it was dark black marble, and a smooth black stone bordered the pool. Tall, imposing stone pillars were set along the pool side , and there were comfortable-looking chairs all around. I walked in tentatively, running my hand along the damp walls of the spacious room and observing my surroundings. "This manor never ceases to amaze me," I said, my voice echoing slightly. "Well, we are of the highest class there is," Draco boasted, following me inside and putting a hand on my shoulder.

I ran forward suddenly, leaping into the pool with a delighted scream. The deliciously cool water splashed over my head and engulfed me and pushed me underwater momentarily. I resurfaced and sputtered, clearing the water from my eyes and shaking my hair back like a wild animal. "What are you waiting for? Come on in, Drakie. The water is fine." I called out cheerfully, floating on my back and flailing my arms about maniacally. "Don't. Call. Me. That." Draco growled menacingly, getting grumpy, but nevertheless stepped over and lowered himself into the water. He visually relaxed, his muscles growing less tense as he lay back, resting his head against the slippery black marble side of the pool and sighing contentedly. "See? This is fun." I said, swirling around in circles and smiling at him. "Yeah, I guess so. Better than being bored in your room." Draco grudgingly admitted, pushing his hair back with his wet hand.

"Funny thing is I've never been here practically my entire life." He said to my surprise. So Malfoys don't know how to have fun either... I laughed. "Idiot. To have such a nice pool and not use it." I felt my feet touch ground and I headed toward Draco, splashing him with water playfully. Completely unexpected, Draco pulled me into his arms as I neared, and I struggled to be released. "Let me go! I want to swim," I whined, beating my hands helplessly against his strong chest. "Nope. I'm not letting go." Draco replied defiantly, and I gave up, floating against him. "Fine," I said somewhat grouchily, pouting like a small child denied of candy. "Ruin my fun." I rested my head against his glistening chest. I let out a small sigh, shifting my arms around his neck. "I don't ever want to let you go," Draco repeated quietly, hugging me tightly to him. His words caught me off guard and touched me greatly, both in their sincerity and sweetness. "And I won't go. I won't." I murmured finally, kissing him on the cheek.

But, breaking the spur of the moment, the doors to the pool room were flung open and they hit the wall with a few loud thuds. A very stressed-looking Lucius stormed into the room, then caught sight of Draco and I curled up together in the corner of the pool. We immediately broke apart in embarrassment and surprise, and I slid as far away from Draco as possible, pretending to have seen and done nothing. "Draco! Miss DeLucas! Stop this foolishness immediately. Both your presences are required in the master living room in precisely one hour. There is an urgent matter at hand." Lucius said coldly, glaring especially at Draco, who shrunk back as if afraid. "Yes, father," he mumbled meekly, his eyes cast downwards. What's this? Is Draco actually submitting to an order? Draco nudged me with his elbow, signaling me to speak, and I hurriedly rushed out, "Uh, yes sir." Lucius' face went through what could barely pass as an icy smile, but resembled more of a grimace. "Good. I shall be expecting you both there." And with that, Lucius swept out of the room imperiously, his departure just as sudden as his arrival.
what could that f.ucker possibly want?
"What was that all about?" I asked after a long quite moment of sitting in the pool and doing nothing. "Uh, I honestly have no idea," Draco admitted, sighing and stepping out of the pool and grabbed a towel to dry himself with. I wonder what could be so important as to cause Lucius to come and find us himself instead of sending a house-elf. "Well, I guess we better go then." I said somewhat lamely, stating the obvious. I climbed out of the water and noticed a strange declination in the temperature. I shivered, and Draco saw and walked over, wrapping me in his towel and began to rub me warm. "Thanks," I said, huddling against Draco. He just smiled down at me in response. "I love you, Laeh." Whispered Draco into my damp hair. "I love you too." I replied, feeling it true and strong now. "Come on, let's get out of here and see what father wants." Draco said finally, breaking away reluctantly from the warm embrace and steering me by the shoulders out of the pool room. What the f.uck is going on around here? Gah. And I just happen to have the luck to always be caught right in the middle of events, just when things begin to settle down and look for the better...
