...are important when you want to rebuild.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
A burning, white canvas surrounded you. It was bright, and it hurt. Your eyes opened more, attempting to adjust to the lighting. Weak arms pushed your fragile body up to sit you on your bottom, and your hand clutched your head.
"Where am I?" you whispered.
You took notice of a hand over your other hand. It was warm. You lightly shook the hand, but nothing happened. Your index finger poked at the mess of milk chocolate hair, and there was a reaction. The body shifted, and you pulled your hand back. The body slowly sat itself up and rubbed their eyes.
"Ah... [Name]-chan!" he gasped.
"[Name]...?" your brows furrowed.
He smiled and wrapped his arms around you. You didn't hug back. You didn't know this person.
"I'm so happy to see you awake!" he played with your hair.
"Um... Who are you?" you poke his forehead.
His eyes were suddenly filled with sorrow.
"[Name]-chan, don't you remember?" he asked. "It's me, Tsuna."
"Ahh... My apologies, sir, but..." your voice trailed off.
He held your hand and looked you in the eye.
"The doctor was right," he mumbled. "You do have amnesia."
You definitely knew what amnesia was at least.
"We'll work to help you get your memories back though!" he smiled and laughed in an attempt to lighten the mood.
"I promise."
