My Life as a Vampire Part 1

"It's time to feed. Everybody gather round we're going as a group," Caine said to us.

"Aww Caine why can't Serena and I go by ourselves? We've been doing this for a while now," I asked him.

"I'm the leader Natalie and whatI say goes. You're coming with us. The newborns need guidance anyway. You know what that's like. It can get out of control if there's no backup."

"Fine whatever. Lets just go then."

Serena and I got in front of the group and walked with Caine. He lead us to an area where there were plenty of humans to feed from. I thought this particular area was really familiar. There was a big white building and some smaller houses around it.

"Okay any minute now the humans should be coming out. Remember to slash the throat before you eat," Caine said to us.

"Duh of course we know that. We aren't stupid," Serena said to him.

Right after that, the door opened. A swarm of them started coming out. "At the count of three, go. One, two, three!" Caine yelled out.

We swooped down on the humans and started tearing their throats out. It was easier to drink their blood that way. I got to my third victim and that was when I saw his face. It was Evan. That's why this place was so familiar. We had our first kiss in this same building.I first met Evan in Dallas where I grew up. We were together for 2 years until I found him cheating on me.

I saw the fear and knowledge on his face. He recognized me. I was ready to take my revenge. I tore out his throat and drank his blood. He was finally dead. I cleaned my fangs before I went at my last victim. The feeding was finally over.

I looked down to see a bunch of humans laying on top of each other. Caine came over to me. "Good job Natalie. It's time to go now."

I followed him and the rest of the group joined us. I had to talk to Serena but I knew I couldn't talk to her until we got back to our lair. It only took a few minutes. I pulled Serena away from the group and we crouched behinda tree.

"Remember when I told you about Evan?"

"Yeah I remember. What about him?" Serena asked.

"He was there. At the feeding. I killed him."

"It's about time. I've been wanting to kill him for you for what he did to you."

"I finally was able to do that myself. I'm glad I did it but then again I'm not sure if it was the right thing to do."

"Of course it was! Evan was a cheating, lying bastard. He deserved what he got."

"I know that. But I still don't know if I should have done it or not."

"Don't worry about that. Everything will be just fine."

At that point I heard footsteps coming our way. I knew our whole coven was inside so it couldn't be one of them. "Shhh," I said to Serena.

My supersonic hearing caught rustling amid the trees. We walked slowly around the tree that we were just sitting by and we made our way towards the noise. That's when it jumped out of the trees and started coming after us.
