So we all come back from having gotten something to eat from craft services and are back in my trailer ready to begin round two of asking Aubrey these questions.

“So who wants to go first now,” Aubrey said.

“I’ll go,” Jackson said. “Name one thing that we don’t know about Kesler different from Caleb? I’m confused by this question,” and we all looked at Aubrey for an explanation.

“Wow, thank goodness you didn’t read that question Robert because it would have been even more embarrassing than when Kesler read it. Okay so this was the time when Kesler and I were kind of going out but we were really official or anything since he still had feelings for Megan. Anyways whoever wrote it, I don’t remember who, just wanted to know something about Caleb that they didn’t know but it also had to do with Kesler.”

“What did you say,” Nikki asked.

“I said Kesler was a good listener because when I first came to Vancouver I was really homesick and he was the only person who would listen to me and he helped me get over my homesickness.”

“Aw that’s sweet,” Ashley said.

“Yeah but Kesler lost so much credit for that and since he’s pretty given up fighting he won’t get that back.”

“Okay well what makes Robert different from Kesler and Caleb,” Jackson asked. Aubrey thought about it that before saying anything.

“Well Robert doesn’t have a tattoo. Now I know you might think it’s obvious since almost everyone knows that Kesler has one but very few people know that Caleb has a tattoo, but more and more people are finding out. In fact I’m the only person who knows exactly what his tattoo means and where it is seeing as we got our tattoos together.”

“Why wouldn’t he want people to know about it,” I asked.

“Well it’s kind of a touchy subject that I promised I would take that secret to my grave. Sorry guys.” Wow, Aubrey is the first person I know that actually keeps her friends secrets. I really love that about her.

“Alright I have a question,” Ashley said. “What’s your opinion of the competition?”

“I hate it. I hate getting texts about it. I hate just thinking about it. And I hate that being a part of it. Well I’m not a part of it because that would be gross but I hate the fact that I as well as Robert have to listen to it almost every damn night.” It was then I had somewhat of an idea about what the completion was.

“Well what is this competition,” Kellan asked.

“Ryan, Josh, and Caleb have this dumb competition to see who can sleep with the most girls by then end of the season. What’s worse is they made me the official score keeper so I get a text pretty much every other day with a picture of the girl they slept with that night doing the infamous walk of shame. Really Robert I’m sorry that you have to endure it. I would so understand if you didn’t want to stay at my place because it’s how I feel at times.”

I laughed at that but pulled her in closer to me because I could tell this was something that got to her. “It’s okay Aubrey, I’m use to it now. And I think we’ll all save you the humiliation of telling us who is in the lead.”

“Thank you, what’s the next question.”

“I’ll go,” Kellan said. “What’s your biggest regret?”

“Meeting you,” she said and we all laughed except Kellan. Then Aubrey looked at her phone and groaned.

“You don’t have to go yet do you,” I asked wondering if that what the text message said.

“No it’s not that. Well I’ll tell you what the text said since it kind of ties into this question but I have to set it up for you. So Ryan, Josh, as well as Caleb have decided to pretty much plan my 21st birthday since they think it’s a big deal that I haven’t had a sip of alcohol. So they want to have this huge party for me so that I can get drunk for the first time. Anyways Josh just texted me and said that they have planned the party so that it will be 10 time worse than the infamous Blackhawks Game.”

“Do we even want to know what happened at this Blackhawks game,” I asked.

“Well Kellan did ask what my biggest regret is. So as y’all know I love the Chicago Blackhawks almost as much as my beloved Dallas Stars. Well as my graduation present my grandparents bought me playoff tickets to the Blackhawks games since my Stars didn’t make it. Anyways they made it to the Stanley Cup finals and I had tickets to the all the games. I didn’t know that my friends had tickets to game 6 in Philadelphia. So we all sat together and cheered on the Blackhawks to a Stanley Cup win.”

“That’s nice and all Aubrey but I don’t see any regret. All I see is one of your favorite teams winning the Stanley Cup,” Jackson said.

“Well it’s what happened afterwards. After we watch the team skate around with the Stanley Cup we left and we just started celebrating. First we went back to the hotel but we got complaints that we were being too loud so we took it to some restaurant and afterwards we went to the riverside and hung out. After me and a few friends jumped into the freezing river, where we got one of our most memorable quotes from, we went back to the hotel and that’s where all the trouble happened.”

“Like…” Kellan urged.

“It started out with some of my friends drinking and it just got worse.”

“What do you mean?”

“Let me put it this way, I didn’t drink anything except for water but the last thing I remember was going out on our little terrace trying to console a drunk Caleb and I wake up on a kitchen counter pretty much being used as Caleb’s cuddle buddy.” That’s when everyone started laughing.

“I’m glad y’all find this funny, but you don’t realize how bad our night was. One of my closet friends was sleeping in the bathtub with someone who wasn’t her fiancĂ© but with about three other people. A few more of my friends were passed out on the kitchen and bathroom floors. And then you have me and Caleb who were asleep on a small kitchen counter. It was like our version of The Hangover but I didn’t drink anything. I guess I was just tired because you all know how you get so tired that if something happened you don’t really remember it.” We all nodded know that feeling.

“Do you remember anything,” I asked.

“Not really. My friends and I still look at pictures and we still don’t know what happened. So once everyone kind of sobered up we promised that we wouldn’t tell our parents what happened since they would all be ashamed of us. But yeah, that’s one thing I regret.”

“Wow,” was all I could say. I never took Aubrey to be that big of a partier. I mean I know that she’s never had anything to drink but still she must have been extremely tired to not remember what happened. Plus you would think if one of your favorite teams won a Stanley Cup you wouldn’t want to sleep.

“I’ll go next,” Kristen said kind of reminding me that Kristen was still actually here. “Is there anything that you really hate?”

“I HATE cheaters. I mean I’ve been cheated on before but I just hate the things it does to me. Plus that’s why I said I would never cheat on someone as revenge since it does things to me that I don’t like,” Aubrey said.

“Like what,” Kristen said and I had a feeling she was up to something. All of us having a really good time with this and she has to bring the mood down with her curiosity. I really hope she doesn’t tell Aubrey that we slept together therefore making me cheat on Aubrey.

“Well the first time Caleb cheated on me I kind of felt like it was my fault since I’m a virgin and I wasn’t going to sleep with Caleb anytime soon. Then the second time he cheated on me I just felt like something was wrong with me, but that was just a drunken mistake. The final time I just couldn’t take it so I broke up with him and kind of fell into a slight depression because I thought something was seriously wrong with me for him to keep cheating on me. At one time I shut myself off from anyone and everything and thought that maybe I should just forget my beliefs and sleep with him but I didn’t. Anyways I finally forgave him and he’s one of my best friends but it just made me kind of question my myself and my beliefs. So pretty much that’s why I hate cheaters because they make me this confused, self-conscious, little girl who questions everything. And I don’t want to be like that EVER again.”

Once she said that I felt even worse about cheating on her. Now I definitely hope she never finds out because I don’t want to see Aubrey like that. In fact it’s kind of hard imagining her as someone who would shut herself off and question everything about herself.

“So,” Aubrey said looking at her phone, “I guess I have time for one more question before I leave. Nikki, you haven’t asked yours and I’m pretty sure I promise I won’t bring the mood down like I did on my last response.”

“Well mine says what is something that no one knows about you,” Nikki said.

“And it can’t be what I said last time right,” Aubrey asked and we all nodded. “Okay well Robert you already know it since Ryan and Josh told you.”

“What are you talking about,” I asked.

“Well I told them that I felt like the failure of my family, but they went and told you.”

“I’m kind of glad they did. You’re not a failure Aubrey.”

“I know but there are those times when I just feel like.” She then took a deep breath. “Man I must really trust y’all if I’m telling you this. Okay so the thing that NOBODY knows about me is that this summer I was accepted into Vanderbilt and Duke law school and I almost thought about going.”

“Are you serious, those are really good schools,” I said.

“I know and don’t take this the wrong way but how the hell did you get into them because no offense you don’t seem like the smart type Aubrey,” Kellan said and we all looked at him while Aubrey laughed.

“It’s okay Kellan. I may look like I’m dumb, but I’m actually pretty smart. I mean I did start school a year early and skip a grade as well as graduate with honors in college. Plus I got into those schools like any other person, I took the LSAT and got a really good score on it and applied to those schools. Granted to keep it a secret from everyone, I studied for the LSAT when I was alone or during my internship when I was didn’t have anything to work on, and drove all the way to Shreveport in order to take the LSAT so no one knew who I was.”

“Why would you not tell anyone that seems like a great thing to have accomplished” Nikki said.

“I just felt like everyone would have forced me to go to law school, especially my parents since they told my brothers and I that if we ever decided to go to law school they would pay it for us. Plus, if I would have gone to law school, there would be so many comparisons between me and my parents and I hate being compared to other people. So I just hid the acceptance letters in my room where no one can find them, and waited it out. Honestly if I didn’t get this job in Vancouver or the one just like it, I probably would have told my parents about it and would be at Duke as a law student. But I did get the job and here I am.”

“Wow, I learn something new about you every day,” I said.

“Yeah besides, if I went to Duke I would have never met Ryan and Josh who would have never made me that audition tape and I would have never been on your show therefore we would have never met.”

“Well then I’m really glad you didn’t go to law school,” I then kiss her on her forehead. She looks at me and her phone alarm starts to ring indicating that she had to go.

“Looks like you have to go,” I said.

“I know and I don’t want to which really sucks because I freaking love Taylor Hall.” Aubrey and I laughed and everyone looked at us but I gave them a look telling them that I would tell them about it later. We all got up and everyone gave Aubrey a hug, even Kristen did which really shocked me especially when she started whispering in her ear. After that everyone left my trailer and I walked Aubrey to her car and gave her one last kiss goodbye. I was watching her drive by and all I thought was that I really hope that Aubrey would never figure out that I cheated on her with Kristen and that Kristen hadn’t told her we slept together recently.
