Ugh!!! I Think... I Love Him Prologue
Tell me what you think. :) I don't normally write or think up of just plain love (theirs always a twist) but these days I can't keep them out of my head so... why not?
Flashback:
My best friend and I walked out of Blockbusters after getting Crazy Stupid Love. She was holding it while I walked a little bit in front of her, answering a text. I noticed a group of teenagers in front of us but paid them no mind.
It was pretty dark out and a friday so I just wanted to get to her house, watch the movie, then hopefully go to sleep. School DRAINS me. Although, I normally stay up anyway. But... Thats not the point.
We were closer now and one of them turned to look at us then nodded towards us to his friends, smirking. He was caucasian and had a hood over his beanie. Cliche gang boy much?
I was still texting when one of them, a taller guy with dark skin, came over to me and grabbed my cell out of my hands. I was surprised for a second then I gave him a look. "Do you need something?", I asked.
I noticed his white wife beater. Other then a jacket I mean.
It was friggin freazing outside and he... ugh who cares!
He laughed a self-centered laugh at my comment. "You really wanna know?", he asked. I sighed as his friends cracked up at his stupid remark. "Shi- gimme it!", I said, trying to snatch at it.
He held it above his head, teasing me, I reached for it and he held me back away from him with his free hand.
He smirked at me with his perfect white teeth. "What'll you give me for it?", I stared at him, playing the fool. "If you're refering to money, I don't have any", I said, still reaching for it. His friends were snickering at the display obnoxiously.
"Hmm, then I guess you'll have to kiss me", he glanced at his friends for approval and they all laughed and hooted to show that he had it.
I glanced at my friend. She seemed to look worried but I knew better than that. She wanted to know what I would do next. It was more of a game to her then anything else.
I tried to reach for it again but he easily avoided me, looking a little bored, but ammused by the situation he was putting me through.
He doesn't think I'll do it. Fine! You asked for it.
I was in a good mood after a crappy week and he was NOT going to ruin it. I looked at him and kept his eyes glued to mine. He looked mischevious yet... a little of something else I couldn't understand at the time. That mystery made me decide what I was going to do.
"Only because I'm in a good mood",I said, and slammed my lips onto his. He seemed surprised at first then brought me closer. But not too close because... there were... sparks. And a lot of them. They were exploding, making me want to break free from him when I knew I just couldn't.
Well, this is... new.I thought.
I broke away, realizing all his friends were still there and hooting. Actually, it was more like I forgot everything existed until that moment.
I leaned back a bit and took in some much needed air. He seemed just as dazed as me. As we continued staring into each other's eyes. His were such a creamy brown hazel.
"Can I have your number?", he partially whispered/breathed. I gazed at him, still in a daze.
"Uh, um, Nat", I said. "Yeah?", I heard the amusement in her voice. "What's my number again?", I asked. She scoffed. "You think I remember it", she said.
"Nevermind", he said, and unlocked my touch screen, then typed something into it. "I'll give you mine." I just watched.
Oh, yeah my phone...
He passed me the phone when he was done. One of his buddies put an arm around his shoulder and dragged him away. Telling him to snap out of it. The rest of the group followed after them. One of them turned around and gave me a look then continued after the others.
I looked at his unsaved number and added it to my contacts. "You're really going to call him?", Natalie asked. My evil friend walked up behind me. Seeming amused.
I just shrugged, not being able to snap out of it. "Maybe", I said. Hmm... I had to put a name down.
"You don't even know his name", she stated simply. "Yeah, your point?", I said, staring at my screen. She laughed. "You know what, you're right. What could possibly go wrong?", she said as we walked to her car.
I knew she was being sarcastic but had to smile anyway.
I don't know anything about him/ Well, I guess I'll have to find out.
I thought, and climbed into Nat's car, leaving the contact name as: "?"
