That Girl. 3

I tugged at my outfit before knocking on Zayn's door. I looked down at Ari who was holding my hand smiling, sighing I knocked on the door and moments later the door opened revealing Katherine standing there looking gorgeous what else in sky high heels and a sleek mid-thigh black dress.

"Great to see you... I'll take those." she said grabbing the plate of cookies I had wrapped up in my right hand, a huge smile plastered on her face they entire time it sickens me. I used this oppurtunity to pick Ariana up holding her on my hip before I walked in. I scanned the room quickly finding Harry, Niall, Liam and Danielle Liam's girlfriend other than that I knew no one besides Zayn's family but that's awkward territory. Sadly Louis and Eleanor weren't here because it's Louis's birthday so he's with his family.

"Uncle Niall." Ariana chirped in my arms as Niall approached us

"Hi there cutie." he said taking her in her arms as she reached out for him his irish accent seeping through every word.

"Hey Niall." I smiled he was always great and I got along with him but he's Zayn's friend not mine. I honestly had no one besides my family and they weren't even here!

"You should go socialize I've got Ariana go have fun." Niall said sternly smiling lightly causing me to crack a smile

"Okay thanks." I said and kissed Ariana's cheek before walking towards the kitchen. I quickly analyzed everyone in the room and realized that it was a mixture of Katherine's friends and family.....great! Note the sarcasim. I quickly grabbed a cup a water avoiding eye contact and made my way to the living room.

"Hey I'm glad you could make it." I heard an all to familiar voice as I felt Zayn's presence next to me

"Yeah." I said dryly taking a sip of my water. I've learned that if I just keep all my conversations with Zayn short I don't have to worry about saying anything I'll regret example one how I'm still in love with him.

"Alright well I'll see you later." he said before scratching the back of his neck and walking away. It might sound ridiculous for me to say I'm still in love with him after three years and I understand that makes me pathetic but when I see him everyday those feelings just don't go away... well at least for me.

"Hey everyone since we are all together there is an announcement I'd like to make." Zayn said infront of everyone in the middle of the living room bringing Katherine there with him. He then got down infront of her on one knee.... ohh noo.

"Katherine I love you and will you marry me?" he asked and everyone gasped in excitement while I stood in the back with a stone face. Katherine didn't answer right away instead she met my eyes and gave me a look of what I think was sympathy?
